Transplanted Green Crack to 3g fabric pots from Solo cups. Probably could have waited a week but roots were starting to circle around the inside of cup. A couple hours after transplant they looked happy again. Added some Rapid Start to my mix of SS #4 with added EWC and Perlite. Didn't soak the new pots...just enough to get moist...added the baby...and put a bit more around the plant. July 21 - FIM both girls. Started them on GH nutes. watered until running out the bottom a little bit approx 1.5L each. Also quick foliar spray of the nute mix.

Pics are Day 21 from seed for GC Fim'd both the GC plants about day 18 from seed. They're still doing great and seem to have grown at least half inch since then and bushed out a bit. Started quarter nutes last week too so maybe that is helping. Shut off my exhaust fan as heat/humidity is under control and put a cheap DIY CO2 setup in my veg and seedling tents. Not sure of it really does much but I figured it doesn't hurt anything and is almost free to try it using household items/ingredients. The White Cookie is growing like crazy the last few days as well. Gave her a little taste of nutes last week too...but not much. All plants got a nutrient foliar feeding right after lights out a few days ago and will probably keep doing it weekly for the next while. Waiting for my GH Armor Si to come in to get it sprayed on to hopefully strengthen the stems and ward off any PM in the future...

Transplanted the GC girls into 7G pots the day before pics. One is a little droopy but the transplant from the 3G fabric pot didn't go as well as I woulda liked. Roots were disturbed so hopefully she bounces back alright. I'll wait about a week for roots to get a hold and then LST the plants. Want to get a nice flat canopy going and set up a scrog net for them. LST GC#2 - Aug 3

LST this week. Plants are very dense so it wasn't easy to bend them over but more tops are showing up now and filling out. I'll keep trying to LST for another week or so. Then might scrog for a couple weeks and hopefully flip.

Side tops are starting to fill in with the LST. I've been fighting with yellowing leaves for a couple weeks. Got #2 under control but #1 is still a problem. Also mixed up a batch of EWC tea with some fish fertilizer this week thinking it might give a nitrogen bump to help the yellowing but didn't help much. I diluted at 3:1 water to tea. It did perk up the plants tho. They were looking a little droopy and next day they were standing again. I've got another plant in the tent that is a couple weeks behind these so I'm holding off the flip for a bit. Will probably put a scrog net over them this week and when they're all ready in a couple weeks...flip the lights. Hopefully I can get the yellow to stop in the meantime.

This week I did lots of LST and also did some defoliation because there were just too many leaves shadowing potential bud site. I didn't go crazy but it did help a lot with opening up the middle inside of the plant and now I'm seeing excellent growth in there. I'll be watching it over the next week and probably throw in a scrog net to get ready to flip soon. I started feeding a little more now as well because I kept fighting with yellowing fan leaves. I gave it a shot of Fish Fertilizer 5-1-1 as well as the GH nutes about 6 days ago and my yellowing seems to have stopped for now. Everything is looking good except my humidity has dropped now down to about 39-41. It just happened so I'm guessing it was from the defoliation.

Not much to report. LOTS of smell...it's awesome. Spent the week with LST to keep it flat. Removed some of the fan leaves to open up bud sites. Putting up SCROG net tomorrow after a shot of EWC tea. Probably last week of veg because I think the screen will fill pretty quickly.

Put up the SCROG net a few days ago. Going to leave it in veg for about another week and it will hopefully be good to flower. It's probably good to go now but I've got some other plants in the tent that need a couple more weeks of veg. I'm waiting on a carbon filter so I can move them to their new home before I switch the tent to 12/12 Everything is good this week except I'm fighting with lights off temperatures at night. Daytime temps are 76-78 in the tent but dipping down to 60-62 at night. I might have to put a heater in the surrounding room to keep temps a little more stable.

Lots of defoliation and tucking this week. Prob stretched about 3 inches this week with the tucking. I'm a little worried that the plants might be TOO bushy and might cause a PM issue later so I'm trying to keep the canopy a little open without leaving big gaps. Also pulling some fan leaves here and there to get light to shaded bud sites. I'm going to change to HPS bulb tomorrow.

Pretty easy week. Did some more tucking and stripped some lower buds that weren't getting any light. Also opened up the inside by getting lower fan leaves out and some upper fan leaves that were shadowing bud sites. Installed a second upper scrog net with 6"x6" opening for bud support in case they get heavy. I've tucked under that one as well to try keep a fairly even canopy. I gave the girls a small bit of Fish Fertilizer to help through the stretch as well. All in all...a pretty easy week and plants look pretty happy.

(I screwed up when starting this diary and numbered my weeks incorrectly. Im actually only going into week 4 of flower right now.) Everything went well this week. They drank a lot of water. I have been feeding them twice a week....the above amount is the total of the two feedings. I'm not sure if it's enough but the plants seem pretty healthy so I'll wait and see. I did raise my light up to 16 inches from 12 because I found a few of my tallest branches were turning more of a yellow color. They were healthy looking otherwise so I though they might just be getting light bleached. I'm running a 600w HPS brand new bulb. Other than that it was a good week. Put a secondary scrog net in last week so I tucked a little more to try even out the canopy and get some light to sides of some branches as well.

Starting to fill out a bit. Very sticky and has a sour skunk smell. I put a heater in the tent this week because my night temp was getting down to about 62F. I hooked the heater to an Inkbird and it kicks the heater in at 71 and shuts off at 73F. Adding a little epsom salt and molasses each week for magnesium bump.

Getting close to the finish line. Started bulking up a bit this week after cutting the liquid KoolBloom and starting the Dry KoolBloom. Smell is pretty intense. I've been fighting with daytime temps reaching up to 84 so I decided to cut my light from 600w down to 450w to see if that helps. My exhaust fan is maxed out and if I increase my intake fan...it stinks up the whole house because I lose my negative pressure in the tent. Also put a small dehumidifier in the tent today to try help with nightime humidity reaching 50+. This hobby is a constant learning experience but I really enjoy it!

Decided to stop the majority of nutrients this week and started with mostly water for this and next week. Hard to tell by the pictures but the trichomes were mostly cloudy and I figured after a week or so of water it should be ready to cut. It's my first ever grow so I'm also guessing haha. Took off the SCROG net this week because I had to take the plants out to do something. It was a bit of a chore getting them free of the netting but they're staying in good position and I only had to tie up a couple thin branches. I'll probably stay on mostly ph'd water for 3-4 days...then maybe some florakleen on day 5. Followed by another day or two of just plain water. I'm not going to do a massive flush through with water because I've been fairly light with nutrients throughout the grow and have yellowing leaves already starting at the bottom half.

Happy Harvest Day!

Had to weigh each plant separately because my scale only goes to 500g. Also zeroed out so not including weight of container... Flushed some FloraKleen through these 2 girls about a week ago and then a little water and molasses a couple days later. Then I let it dry for a few days and chopped down before the lights came on this morning. I'm not sure if I'm recording the wet weight correctly as I had to leave stems on to hang to dry. I didn't include the small popcorn buds in the weight either. But I'll come back and record the dry weight later. I haven't had a chance to try these plants yet but they seem to have a citrus, earthy smell. Next time I grow Green Crack...I will likely feed a little more often because I was fighting nitrogen issues for a majority of the grow.

Thanks! yeah I love this hobby. It's fun and rewarding. I pulled 10 clones from the 3 strains I'm growing right now and looks like about half will make it so I'll be on my second grow shortly. Thanks for the heads up on your YouTube channel. I subbed just now!

@maplemeadtheforestnweed, Thanks...I'm trying to get humidity under control and my exhaust fan/carbon filter is maxed out. But the higher lights out temp isn't helping so I bumped my controller so it lets it get down to 66F then warms to 68F For humidity, I just put a small dehumidifier in the tent today so hopefully that will keep it in 40s at night. Daytime humidity is not bad at about 33-35 without the dehuey so hoping it doesn't drop it too much lower tho

Thanks...they've grown probably an inch or so in the last 2 days since the flip:) The light on the tent is making my camera pick up a yellowing for some reason. But the plants do look better in person. This was also at the end of an H2O only flush for about 5 days before I put into 12-12.Hopefully my next pics look better

whats going on with these ladies ? why they so yellow in the most recent pictures is that nitrate deff ?
Ramman
Rammancommented6 years ago
I think it's mostly the lighting of the picture. I left them in the tent under the light. Usually I take them out of the tent for pics. They don't look that yellow in real life. But I have fought with nitrogen deficiencies since about week 5.It seemed to clear up quite a bit when I started giving them a little fish fertilizer (5-1-1) and EWC tea. Also, this picture was at the end of a flush...and nothing but H2O for the last few waterings before I switched to 12-12.

Question for any experienced growers:In my week 5 pics...the plant seem very dense and bushy. Should I look at removing any of the fan leaves at this stage?
maplemeadtheforestnweed
maplemeadtheforestnweedcommented7 years ago
@Ramman, my crudely worded inexperienced guess (sorry): put the light at the ceiling of the tent that way the plant can grow into the light instead of fighting it. also, 831 ppm seems high to me, better to be deficient than toxic. Be careful about overwatering(week 4 puffy, sulking leaves). Feel free to chime in more experienced growers. Looks good so far, I'm interested to see how this goes.

Rammancommentedweek 17 years ago
Thanks! The two Crack are growing like crazy but one of the Cookies didn't make it. The seed wouldn't come off even with misting to keep it soft. So I tried to pluck it off and....let's just say I don't have the hands of a surgeon lol
