July 3: Great week for new growth and plants are starting to send out first flowers. Big stretch on height. About another inch of rain (2.5 cm) this week and soil has plenty of moisture. Today saw some amazing clear sky and strong sun. Expecting the flowers to start stacking. Still need to mulch around the plants. First resin is skunky with a bit of burned rubber (?) - unusual yet appealing. Great structure and impressive vigor.
@NorthernChemist, generally yes thatโs about the right time, but it did reach only +1 C overnight on June 1 here. For some autos that amount of cold when young will cause them too much stress and they dwarf. Autos are awesome here but timing is tricky.
@Northern_Ent, thanks man, around June 1 seems to be about the right time to place out for this area. A few tomatoe plants that weren't covered froze ๐ฌ
Nice, and youโve harvested all four plants by mid-August which is good timing. This far North the sun gets weak quickly starting about now so it is the ideal time to finish. I harvested my first plants yesterday so Iโve got a ways to go. Youโre welcome to come by and check it out again. Cheers.
