White Widow Fast retains the qualities that have made the original White Widow such a hit with smokers and growers alike for so long yet manages to shorten its flowering time by a week.
The South Indian and Brazilian heritage produces white, frosty, knock-out buds that have become a by-word for fast-acting, hard-hitting weed. Buds appear to have been dipped in sugar crystals and have a beautiful smooth smoke. Yields of this high-THC indica/sativa strain are decent at 350 - 450 gr/m2 in 6 - 7 weeks of flowering. Outdoors and greenhouses are also suitable environments due to it being ready to harvest during September in northern latitudes.
The effect is powerful and hits in the head at first before evolving into a relaxing body-stone.
This update should have been done at the beginning of the week but I have been a little busy and lost the picture of her after she surfaced, today is actually the last day of week 1 though. She was germinated on the 7th of July by been placed directly into biobizz lightmix soil from the packet, and then saturated with activera, she then surfaced the following Wednesday. I am going to be veging her for around 8 weeks roughly before then putting her under a hps to flower, I have two lights though that's why my diary says 400w and 600w, I just don't know which one this is going under yet, I am going to be sticking with biobizz lightmix but for this plant I am going to be using different nutrients to what I am using with the rest, I have received some grow caps samples so I will be adding them the next time I transplant and doing this run with the grow caps... i don't really know much about the product though so not entirely sure how it's going to work out but what i do know is that the granuals supposedly contain enough nutrients to last an entire griw so all i have to do is water. I am trying it with this plant as it has the shortest flowering time out of all my current strains so once she is transplanted I will update the progress of it from there
So we are a couple of days into week 3 here and over the past week she has started displaying to tip burn on a couple of her leaves, I have only been giving her bio silicon at a dose of 0.25ml/l so will cut that by half for her and see if there is an improvement, she has Still come along quite a bit over the past week though so hopefully she continues this and turns out alright, she was transplanted around 10 days old and will be transplanted a final time at 4 weeks, upon the final transplant I will be adding the grow caps to the soil, I was meant to do it this time but ended up potting a bother plant into the soilmix with growcaps In so will be now running 2 with the grow caps.
Will update her progress in a few days
So I'm doing this update on day 25, the pictures are from yesterday and apologise for the quality of them but these plants are due a watering today so I will get some better pictures at the same time and post them tonight! This white widow fast seems to be coming along nicely so far though, she is growing well but seems to be pretty sensitive to anything at the moment, so I have cut the silicon for a bit and am just giving her water for now, all 7 strains have been topped this week and I am about to begin tying down the new tops that have developed enough, I intend to get them transplanted a final time after Monday as I'm due a house inspection that day so it just makes everything easier to move for an hour, but then once everything is back up these will be re-potted and will crack on properly with dome lst! I have also cut off her lower 2 nodes so that i can bury her upto what would have been the 3rd node just to help fatter her up nicely! At the end of this week I am going to be half way through veg but will continue not to feed anything till she is 6weeks old. She is filling out nicely though at the moment, and yesterday well I was in the room with my gf she said"why does it stink in here" to which I replied "of what" and she said "it stinks of weed in here" haha! So I haven't pinpointed where its coming from exactly but it would seem that at not even 4 weeks into veg.. something in this tent is already stinking! And everything looks nice and strong/healthy so I am feeling pretty positive about this run!
So will rt these other pics up tonight.
Thanks for checking in
D33, this wwf has come along well since my last update, at the beginning of the week I got her transplanted into her final home, and began some lst, she was generally quite a short plant anyway from being topped but she has started filling out nicely so hopefully she turns into a stocky little lady! I am coming close to the end of this week now so she has about a week left before I start introducing nutrients, I was initially meant to put this strain into the grow caps but forgot to mix it into the soil when I transplanted so she will be going on the biobizz range with the rest of the strains! All in all though I'm happy with her progress so far but there isn't really much else to update at the moment!
So over the past week this wwf has progressed pretty well, she has evened out nicely from some lst, at the beginning of week 6 I split everything between strain type so indica dom/hybrid strains are in one tent and the sativa doms are in another, for this week I had left the indica doms/hybrid under the led. At the same time I split them you noticed each plant was already displaying quite a lot of roots from the bottom of each pot so it hasn't taken very long for them to fill the space at all being a week after transplanting. On day 41 I introduced bio grow for the first time as some of the girls had displayed some fading/yellowing in a couple of lower fans. I have taken the hooks out I used for training as they don't seem to be able to keep her down much any more so am going lightly tie her down to the pot so that once they go into the flowering stretch I can keep her evened out! I was intending on veging for 8 weeks but am not keen on running both hps lights in the same area for 18 hours at a time! Because of this week 6 is the last week of veg and on d42 they spent 24 hours in the dark! I am now actually a couple of days into week 7 so yesterday (d43) was my first day of 12/12 So I will do an update for week 7 in a couple of days!
So week 7, this update is a bit late so I apologise and will be doing updates for week 8 this afternoon, the pictures from this update were taken towards the beginning of week 7, upto this point she had stayed quite short, and has gained several tops from a bit of training as I got these photos though the plants had just started pre flowering. I had to run this tent without a filter for a couple of days during this week whilst I waited for a new one and already these plants are stinking.. the smell of it woke me up at silly hours because of how overwhelming it was... so it's got me really excited for this final stage! I can't see her getting to big as from what I am aware this is a short strain anyway but I will tie down any rouge tops to try and maintain the even canopy during the stretch.
So the pictures for this update were taken yesterday (d12 of 12/12) she has shot up a bit since my last update and is filling out a little more with her side branches.. This lady started showing preflowers first out of all the girls but has stayed the shortest.. looks like is going to be nice and compact though.. I have upped the bio grow slightly this week and on her next feed I will be introducing bio bloom also at quarter strength. She has been suffering from ph issues so before it locks anything out I have added a top dressing of dolomite lime (recommended anyway with biobizz soil) she still seems to growing well though and as I said earlier she is progressing a little faster then the others so am still happy so far!
So day 19 of 12/12.. this white widow fast has filled out nicely, vertical growth has slowed down now and she is still quite short but she has gone bushier and a little thicker too I have done some more light defoliation to allow more light penetration.. and on her next watering I am going to increase the dose for her nutrients slightly. Buds are forming nicely and I'm happy with her progress upto now so hopefully she continues to have a good run!
The pics for this update are from today (d26-12/12) over the past week this white widow fast has some slight defoliation again to allow more light penetration as she keeps getting quite bushy, she has started fattening up now that she has filled her bud sites and is starting to get a lil frosty now too. Her dose of nutrients had been increased again a little and the smell from her is starting to get a bit stronger now that she is coming along. I am going to run this one again in the near future to see if there is much dufference but So far from my experience this seems like a photo period strain that would be suitable for a stealth grow, she stays pretty short but fills out nicely with out getting too wide so I would say she's a good plant to have for a small space.
Pics are from today (d35-12/12) she is starting to fade a bit now but she is taking a bit longer then I thought she would.. she is quite a short but stocky plant so I am looking forward to seeing her fatten up over these last few weeks and get a bit frostier.. she starting to stink quite a bit now as well so hopefully she spent take too much longer!
Sorry for slacking over the past couple of weeks I have had a lot going on that has taken up the majority of my time so I haven't been able to update things like I should be.. we are on week 7 now.. pics are from day 46, because I am using biobizz I am only flushing for a week and that's going to start when she is next due a watering.. buds have filled out quite nicely on this girl during these past couple of weeks.. she has because a little dense but not too much, there are some nice chunky buds though and she has gotten a bit frostier.. I am going to stake her today to try and increase resin production during this final week, trichs are looking mostly cloudy with some amber popping up in a few places.. So harvest Is pretty much down to preference now.. looking forward to getting her chopped though!
