- This journal will follow the journey of 7 cuttings coming from a feminized Northen Light seed mother plant of 54 days old (7 week veg).
Substrate: peat-moss with some perlite
Cuttings: from strong parts and used some root powder
31 May 2022
-2 cuttings died
-5 cuttings starting week 1 vegetation
-Transplanted to mix of peat moss, perlite and compost
-Added some nutriments as well
--eggshell powder
--epsom salt
--20-20-20 salt
-- organic 6-8-12
5 June 2022
-So I topped all the 5 cuttings
-New heads are showing up strong
-The one figuring in the last image is the weakest
-Looking at them I can finally say I have succeeded these cuttings and they now look like plants

-For now I can't get run-off water given the size of the pot

I have recently had thoughts of starting flowering soon but I feel like my tent can let them grow a bit more
Hi people. My plants are on vegetation day 26 and are 8 inches tall. My tent setup can give them room for 15 more inches for a total of 23 inches height from soil to top.
So, when do you think I should start 12/12 to maximize the plants height and yield? Thanks.
you've got plenty of height to add be using something else to raise your pot -- i assume for runoff? find a lower pofile bucket to catch it. You're not too far away from easily filling a 2.3x2.3 space.
looks like 4 plants in a lage pot. i'd make sure you heavily LST middle so that growth doesn't easily gain apical dominance later on and nowhere to bend it. it will make a level canopy easier to plan ahead in this respect.. If you control it a bit before it bushes out, you can force most of the growth toward the outer perimeter where there is more space to spread out. Once content, flip it... clean it up to reduce larf. let her do the rest.
better in individual pots that you can move around to make life easier, but if you do this again, i'd bend each out toward a coner... a bit beyond center before allowing to go vertical... shape will fit tent easily. more of a learning cuve, but if always doing the same thing, it's just a minor speed bump.

Separated the 4 plants into 4 individuals pots.
Huge stress, roots were so entangled it was impossible to unknot so I had to cut through them.
Did that cause 4 plants were drinking over 2L per day and I had to be gone for 8 days.
Keep 1 plant inside and put 3 plants outside.
Combined that with start of 12/12 inside.
Overall, It worked out better then expected.

I was very worried that the separation would stress the plants so much they would either die or go crazy.
The only thing I have noticed is that some head stopped growing evenly compared to the other one.
Forming kinda 2 different layers of heads on the plant.

Given the way the plant is growing, I am a bit overwhelmed.
It has two definite layers.
Top layer has like 9 main nodes.
Bottom layer has many many smaller nodes. But they are evenly distributed and have all the same height.
From the base of the plant to the 2nd layer, I have removed all of the leaves.
But I really have no idea if I should removed all of the second layer in order to really keep only the ~9 biggest nodes.
Oh, let's wait, I guess.
22 august 2022 (updated on 25th)
Plant height from roots to top is 38''/97cm
The smell is very fruity and can be strong on humid days
Removed only few leaves there and there since the last 2 weeks
The top of the main nodes are about 8 inches away from the light
29-31 degrees Celsius @ 12''/30cm when light is on and 21-23C when off

UPDATE:
Some buds have started to show sign of brown pistils
Main nodes are very close from the 240w led (8''/20cm) but no sign of burns
Starting to think I will have a decent harvest considering it's my fist grow

Flowering: 42 days - 6 weeks
Tip of foliage showing sign of maybe pH imbalance or too much fertilizer?
Did a small water flush.
The run off water was very acidic, added water until run off was 6 pH
Maybe time for water only now
10-15 more days till harvest??
11 september 2022
Flowering: 53 days (7 weeks)
The plant was fed with water only for now a week.
It feels like not much change happened since last update.
However, the pistils keep turning orange, the trichomes are milkier and the buds feel more compact.
Maximum 10 days until harvest??!?!
Oh, and I have tested smoking a bowl of some very small-underdeveloped-none-cured buds that was at the base of the plant and I can confirm the presence of the desired molecules!

flowering: week 8
-now 2 weeks of water only
-the 10 heavy top heads need assistance
-I used wires to keep them up
-Harvested the smaller-lower-more mature branches
-- 154g wet
-felt like it would speed up maturation of main heads
-also fun having less mature weed
30 september 2022
The journey started on 22nd march and ended on 22nd september
From 1 seed to 4 clones in a single pot
To end up with 1 plant indoor 3 plant outdoor
Indoor plant got 64 days of flowering
Felt like it could go for more but already had flushed for over 14 days
The plant indoor yielded total of 221g dry (1092g wet)
Took about 5 days to dry now keeping it at about 60%rh
So yeah this was fun to experience with
The seed mother was strong it was easy to make cuttings
The 4 clones grew strong even If I repotted twice in 2 weeks
35L was big enough but needed too much manual watering
The clones handled the separation better than expected
Even if roots were so tightly entangled
Switched indoor to flowering right after separation
3 other plants were put outside after separation
A bit stressed but was ok
Did not expect the buds to become so huge
Next grow I would grow branches stronger
Also I will LST properly
130 days grow yield is good but could be done better with more planning
This was my first grow ever
