Second try after a month of growing. Found a new strain I want to try. Hoping to not stunt their growth with nutes as I did in my last batch. Excited to see these blast off!
Germinated in a couple days. Sank in cup of water in 12 hours and then went into a paper towel for about 24 hours. Got the stem to three times length of seeds and then moved them into coco sponges. Within a day they poped up. All six sprouting cotys.
Day 7 every ones sprouted 4/6 have their first leaves.
These look good this week.
1/6 did not sprout but it’s still got decent roots so I’m gonna leave it and see what happens.
5/6 looking great and getting their second set of leaves this week.
One of them is bending a bit from the fan so I’m moving the fan to a different location so the stem grows better and stronger.
The roots are freaking out of control with awesome growth. Hydro guard and root grow is doing well for them. Keeping it really low so they don’t get too many nutes at such a young age. Killed my first babies doing that, they’re 5 weeks ahead and pretty much all but one is ded.
Seedling 6/6 did not fully open its cotys and started to develop these small leaves. But then didn’t grow any further. The root is about 3.5” long and still white, but worrries because the plant is not growing that it may rot? Should I remove it from the grow? Should I leave it?
Some times, mutations take hold in small ways and your plant can push through it with the odd may leaf or 2. Your plant has other leafs to pull energy through to finish off your plant or in your case start it. With both "cotys" not been able to draw in any energy as they are mutated and lack what's needed to push your plant through the seedling stage she's sadly a goner. Roots are roots they'll take hold but no energy, no push.
Chop her and move on pal.
These are doing so good. They’ve grown a bit in the last week and the roots are huge!
I added a humidifier also.
Noticed a few deficiencies on the leaves so I added calimag at a very low dose. They’re still doing good. Hoping they continue to grow healthy.
Doing well. Nutes from last week did well. Feeling confident with it. Added more this week and staying consistent for another week
Saw some spots on leaves. Looked like potassium deficiency. Added some nutes and trimmed up these babies.
Bent each one over in its own was for some LST because the roots are too tangled to remove any of them.
