MT420Seed was soaked in a glass of water for a few hours. Transferred to a paper towel for 2 days.
Seed was planted in peat pellet.
Planning on transplanting it when a bit taller.

I have been for the last 35+ years growing outdoors in full sun, in soil, with no protection (once the plants are established) and they survive/thrive just fine in temps that reach 40 plus for multiple consecutive days and multiple times each summer, even up to 47 degrees Celsius at times.
Just keep them well hydrated during the heat waves and everything will be fine.
Mulching the soil with alfalfa straw helps big time.
