Transplanted into 1g fabric pots. Soil is from local growers supply. I think the plants were lacking in nutrients from the Promix organic. Noticed within 12 hours that the plants perked up. Trimmed lower dead leaves.
Plants are liki g the transplant to better soil. Lots of new growth. Topped plants at 3rd node.
Day 45 - did some LST on the 4 new nodes that have grown since topping.
Day 50, did LST to the 4 main branches of plant 2. Plant 1 has been growing quickly. Last couple watering I have only watered by pouring into tray. I have also increased light to about 85%
Day 59, topped both plants for one last time. Defoliated the canopy so light penetrares each node. Plant is finally shaped to where I want it for cola sites. In about a week I will transfer to 5 gallon pots in prep for flower.
Day 60, added 1 tbsp of Gaia Green All Purpose as a top dress to both plants. Also removed LST wires from the branches.
Day 63, ended up trimming off some more branches. On plant 1 got rid of the 4 branches on the lower stem. Plant 2, cut back upper branches to form only 2 colas.
Day 67, transplanted into 5 gallon pots.
Day 70, defoliated all growth up to main cola heads. Tomorrow I will do the final round of LST before flower.
Day 72, did another round of LST to spread the colas out on plant 1 and 2. Plant one has been trained and shaped into traditioanal mainlining. Plant 2 I've just been letting it do its own thing, along with some LST. Added a dry amendment top dressing of 4 tbsp each of Gaia Green All Purpose and Power Bloom to each plant.
Day 78,
Plant 1, adjusted LST to bring colas sites down lower, this plant is starting to take off. Going to put it into flower in the next couple days. Starting to show some signs of magnesium deficiency with small brown spots on older leaves and some yellowing in the centre of leaves. I've been lazy and haven't checked the ph of my water. When I tested it, it came up at 7.5. I think this is the issue and not a lack of nutrients in the soil. Used some ph down to get it to 6.5 for next watering to see if this corrects the problem.
Plant 2, chugging along. Not absorbing water as quick as plant 1 and the Granddaddy Purple. However, still looks healthy and hoping it produces some quality bud.
Day 81, plants have been switched to flower. They are ready!
Plant 1, removed any leaves that had brown spots. Plant is starting to drink water rather quick.
Plant 2, defoliated any lower leaves.
Day 86, defoliated canopy of both plants to allow light to bud sites.
Day 88 / Flower day 8,
Added 4 tbsp of Gaia Green 2-8-4 Power Bloom, and gave her a good watering. Been making sure soil is completely dry in between waterings. Also removed LST wires.
Day 89 / Flower day 9,
Setup trellis, and tucked branches. First time using this method, normally I use wire and clips for LST. Eventually I would like to expirement with ScRog technique. Added 3 more small fans in addition to the tower fan. Two fans hanging pointed down towards middle. Third on the floor pointing up to underside of canopy.
Day 92 / FL 12,
Defoliated plants. Adjust some branches around the trellis and gave them a good watering.
Had to setup a dehumidifier outside the tent. Humidity levels inside and outside the tent were reaching as high as 70% during the day. Not an issue anymore, now we are sitting at 51%.
Day 95 / FL day 15,
Gave both plants a heavy defoliation to allow light into all bud sites. I think I'm pushing my luck with the amount of stress I've been giving these plants. But I also think they can take it. Only time will tell.
Day 98 / FL day 18,
Plants have recovered well after heavy defoliation. Lots of new leaf growth. Hopefully this will help to increase nug size.
Day 101 / FL day 21,
Topped dressed plants with a 3/4 inch layer of living soil for a little bit of extra nutrients. Waiting until week 5 of flower to add another round of Gaia Green dry amendments.
As we enter week 4 of flower, buds are starting to get real frosty and put on weight. Looks like stretch has finished.
Day 102 / Flower day 22,
Gave Plant 1 another defoliation to allow light onto bud sites. Plant definitely is not lacking in fan leaves. Plant 1 is doing a lot better than Plant 2. Second Plant has more stretch in between bud sites. Buds are also half the size of Plant 1. We will see how she turns out in the end.
Welcome to Week 5 of flower.... Things are about to get interesting!
Day 109 / Flower Day 30,
Added 5 tbsp of Gaia Green 2-8-4 as a dry amendment to each plant. This will be the last time plants are amended. Bud sites are starting to slowly swell. I'm excited to see how these buds turn out.
Welcome to week 6 of flower!
Just been coasting... watering plants when dry (every other day), plucking leaves as the grow out and cover bud sites. Buds are oozing with tricomes and slowly starting to fatten up. Plants smell of delicious lemon. I cannot wait to smoke this bud.
Welcome to week 7 of flower. The girls have just been chillin, starting to put on a lot of weight. These plants have a nice sour lemon smell to them. The red hairs on Plant 1 are mesmerizing. While Plant 2 has a nice soft green colour to its buds.
Welcome to Week 8 of flower......
The plants have developed a more sour lemon scent. Which is pretty lovely to the nose. Both plants have really nice dense thick buds.
Plant 1 is starting to show signs of fall colours. She has always had are lime green colour to her upper leaves. Now a beautiful red colour is appearing on the edges of leaves.
Plant 2 the main colas have become so heavy that they are all leaning over.
I've started introducing a bit of drought stress. Holding back between waterings. I'm hoping by doing this it will help to kick the girls into overdrive and start using stored sugars. It's seems to be working on plant 1 as the leaves are starting to yellow.
Welcome to Week 9 of Flower. The girls are doing good. I've given them a little bite of stress with watering less frequent. However, they still smell and look amazing!
Plant 1 has some crazy colouring flowers. Hints of blue hues! Not overly heavy on tricomes, but smells of delicious sour lemon.
Plant 2 has a completely different characteristic. She's super frosty! With 10 fat colas, she's having a hard time standing up.
