Only one seed has germinated. I may have given it a little too much water or didn't let the taproot grow long enough before transplanting. I will just take a cutting from plant later on and continue a second plant.
Transplanted into 1g fabric pots. Soil is from local growers supply. I think the plants were lacking in nutrients from the Promix organic. Noticed within 12 hours that the plants perked up.
Plant is liking the new soil after transplant. Lots of new growth. Topped at 3rd node.
Day 40 removed all old growth leaves
Day 49, Lots of new growth since topping. Quite a few nodes have appeared.
Day 54, topped both plants for one last time. Defoliated the canopy so light penetrares each node. Plant is finally shaped to where I want it for cola sites. In about a week I will transfer to 5 gallon pots in prep for flower.
Day 55, added 1 tbsp of Gaia Green All Purpose as a top dressing. Also topped canopy so that it was even across the top. Also removed LST wires from the branches.
Day 58, Canopy is filling in nicely since cutting it back. Did another round of LST to allow lots of light and air into centre of plant.
Day 62, transplanted into 5 gallon pot.
Day 66, defoliated all lower growth up to the top of the colas.
Day 67, LST on all main colas to help stretch the width of the plant out. Also top dressed with 4 tbsp each of Gaia Green All Purpose and Power Bloom.
Due to bad starting soil and a bit of overwatering in the beginning stages, I am left with the debate. I'm already 9 weeks in... Do I wait a week and kick them into flower? .....Or,do I let them veg for another couple weeks and fill in?
Day 73, plant has taken well to the transplant into a 5 gallon pot. Lots of new growth. Re-adjusted LST to spread main branches out. Removed more growth from bottom of the canopy.
I was debating waiting longer to flip into flower. However, I'm sticking to my original plan of two weeks after transplant, on day 76.
Day 76, first day of 12/12. These plants are ready, white pistols have been slowly popping up the past week. Did a light defoliation to open up the canopy, and adjust the LST to widen the canopy.
Day 81, did another defoliation of the canopy to open up bud sites.
Day 83 / Flower day 8,
Added 4 tbsp of Gaia Green 2-8-4 Power Bloom, and gave her a good watering. Been making sure soil is completely dry in between waterings. Also removed LST wires.
Day 84 / Flower day 9,
Setup trellis, as plant stretches, I will tuck and spread along the trellis. First time using this technique. Normally i just use clips and wires. This plant hasn't stretched much in the last week of flower. I'm hoping this week it will make up for that. Added 3 more small fans in addition to the tower fan. Two fans hanging pointed down towards middle. Third on the floor pointing up to underside of canopy.
Day 87 Flower Day 12,
Another quick defoliation of the canopy, this plant is leafy, and a good watering.
Had to setup a dehumidifier outside the tent. Humidity levels inside and outside the tent were reaching as high as 70% during the day. Not an issue anymore, now we are sitting at 51%.
Day 90 / FL 15,
Gave the GDP a heavy defoliation to help open up bud sites. Plant still has not stretched too much since flower flip. I either stressed her out to much or this is the characteristics of this pheno. Regardless I should have some nice bud in the end, just not a good yeild.
Day 93 / FL 18,
Plant has recovered very nice after heavy defoliation. Plant is still very short.
Day 96 / FL 21,
Added a 3/4 inch layer of living soil to add a little bit of extra nutrients. Waiting until week 5 of flower to add Gaia Green dry amendments to take me to the end.
Week 4 here we go....
Buds are starting to fatten up as stretching has come to a hault. Lots of frostyness on bud site 😁
Day 97 / Flower day 22,
Gave GDP another light defoliation to allow light into bud sites.
Starting off week 5 with a dry amendment of Gaia Greens 2-8-4 at 5 tbsp. This will probably be the last dry amendment before harvest. I will have to look into a compost tea if she needs more nutes.
Week 6....
Buds are looking super sparkly, Lots of tricomes. Plant smells of delicious grape candy.
Still just watering every other day whe dry with 3L.
Welcome to week 8 of flower....
Ohh the sweet smell of grape candy is powerful with this one. I hope she taste as good as she smells.
According to the Blimburn statistics she should be done this week, but i dont know. Leaves have not changed colour yet. Which either means there are still a lot of nutrients in the soil or she's not ready yet. Tricomes are still mostly clear with a few amber ones. The buds are dense AF! She's not looking like it will be a heavy yeilder (user error to blame for that), but I'm hoping the quality will make up for that.
I've started introducing a bit of drought stress. Holding back an extra day between waterings. I'm hoping by doing this it will help to kick her into overdrive and start using stored sugars.
