Hey guys and gals, on week 4 of this indoor, hydro grow and I just hit this plant 5 days ago with fox farms sledgehammer for its first flush. Before this, the plant was growing very well, but a few days after the flush I started noticing spotting on the leaves that appeared glossy and bronze, and the new growth on top has started to yellow in the center of the leaves. Is this a result of the sledgehammer flush? I don't think it's root rot because my other plant got the same treatment, roots look the same, and its thriving very well, very green.
My next feeding is in two days. Should I flush this plants roots in tap water before changing the reservoir? What do yall think? This is my first grow, hoping to start flower in two weeks as I don't have much room for light ;P thanks!
Hitting week 11 here, 4 weeks into flowering with a 12/12 light rotation. I had to get rid of my taller plant, as it turned out to be male 😅 but this other one is doing well now. I've switched my water to 5 gallon buckets after the roots started to outgrow the milk jugs. Changed the reservoir today and redid my nutrients. By things I've read, I can expect to maybe harvest this plant in 2 months? It still looks very skimpy but the hairs growing on it look healthy and have been growing steadily since a week ago. Excited to see what happens!
Week 5, did my reservoir change and feeding this afternoon. Since rinsing their roots in distilled water and keeping on with the original nutes, I can say they've both improved after ditching the Sledgehammer. The green is coming back on the girl that was showing signs of deficiency, and I've added air stones to both jugs to avoid root rot.
While switching waters, the big plant toppled over and the base of the stem bent in half. Luckily it didn't tear or break, but you can see where it bent over at the base. I staked it with 3 pencils and tape in the grodan cube. I really hope it doesn't die ;P
I'll be heading out on vacation Friday till next Tuesday. Hoping they do alright for that stretch! I've been giving them 24 hours of light since I began, and will be going to 12/12 lights as soon as I get back next Wednesday as I'm really losing headroom for my two LED light bulbs. 🙃
Got home from vacation last night. Looks like the girl that got the bent stem took off! Easily grew a few more inches, was around 10 inches from my light when I checked last night. I flipped the tub over and now I have it inside the tub instead of on top.
Started the Tiger Bloom today and will switch to 12/12 lights later this evening. I'm pretty sure both plants are the same strain, even though they're much different heights. Noticed a bit of curling up on some of the leaves. Hope it rights itself. Excited for flower!
