Tuesday, 22-06-2022 On Saturday, 18-06-2022 I made a mix of filtered tap water and a couple drops of EMAS in jar. I dropped the seed in the water and tried to push it down but it continued to float, after 15+ mins I agin tried to make the seed sink but it remained afloat. After 5.5+ hours I set the seed using Garden Fundamentals@Youtube's "Improved paper towel and baggy method for germinating seeds (fast)", slightly modified. I put a folded sheet of paper towel in a bag and dampened it using a spray bottle with the same mix used to soak the seed and put the seed in the bag. After a few minutes I was concerned I put too much water in the bag and opened it to drain any excess water. I put the bag inside another plastic bag and tried to capture as much natural air in that bag before tying off and put that bag in a warm dark cupboard. I set alarms twice daily to check the seed for growth. I was pleasantly surprised to see a small tail on the seed when I checked it the next evening, 19-06-2022. I immediately pot up the seed in a 4 inch pot with pure coir watered with filtered tap water. Last night, 21-06-2022, I saw the first sign of upward growth and today it is what you see in the pics. I regret not taking the pic of the seed with tail. I don't know if the EMAS helped the speed of germination but it has not seemed to hurt. I am well pleased. I must give a shout out to Greenhouse Seeds. Prices for the seeds and the cost of shipping was reasonable. The transaction with them was smooth and shipping was relatively fast, less than a month to the Caribbean. There was an error that was immediately acknowledged on notification by me and the fix should be available soon. Although not particularly discreet, I did not pay for that option, the seeds were securely packaged. The one seed I have tried was obviously viable. I am looking forward to growing out this and the other seeds I bought, The Church and Super Lemon Haze Auto. Now that I have a seed with known genetics from a reputable breeder, I am even more determined to follow my own advice from the start of my previous grow that failed so spectacularly because I went rogue.

Sunday, 03-07-2022 Seedling looking slightly chlorotic and a couple holes are in each of the developing fan leaves. The chlorosis might be cause by unpH'd tapwater that I fed in the first week. Not sure what caused the holes. Midweek I sprinkled the top of the container with about a teaspoon of EM Bokashi Bran. The day after I saw webbing between the still brown bokashi bran. It rained a bit that afternoon and the day after I was surprised to see a mat of fungi in full bloom on the surface. I don't know they if they are good or bad micros but they definitely are active. I started feeding midweek with CAB pH'd to about 6. I used to pH to about 5.5-6 then add nutes because I assumed my hard water wouldn't be affected by the pure nutes. Wrong assumption. For the first batch of feed I added the nutes and was surprised to see the pH drop significantly and I had to add less pH Down than I usually would to get it around 6.

Saturday, 09-07-2022 Repotted to final 6 gallon pot and top dressed with EM Bokashi Bran midweek. Also made ring of DE when repotting as insect block. Got good rain day after repotting. Supplemented feed with EMAS midweek and Recharge yesterday. Leaf colour looking better but at least one hole in new growth. Growth steady and nodes forming branches. Actual CAB NPK EC 2.1. I am trying to use the low feed rate EC of CAB and make sure added supplements don't exceed normal feed EC.

Saturday, 30-07-2022 Plant looking OK but significantly smaller than its neighbours that were germinated one week later (Super Lemon Haze.2 - Test Grow #5 and The Church - Test Grow #6). The cultural differences I can think of are 1) the seedling germinated on my veranda not in full sun and got a little leggy while the other 2 plants were born in full sun; 2) The feeding schedule was not to plan; 3) It has received 2+ feedings of EM Bokashi Bran, I initially only planned to give the Bran to this plant but in my over-zealousness gave a feeding to the other 2 as well; I will continue only giving the bran to this plant for now. Leaves are also narrower than Super Lemon Haze.2 - Test Grow #5. Fed today and supplemented with Recharge. First feed since last week as there was significant rain all week. Did not not need to water as soil was still well saturated but I wanted to put some chemistry in the pots. Really need to let them dry out now. Lord Thank You for Your Blessings. Likes its neighbours, the week long rain has caused the LST'd stems to stretch. I had the ideal situation where I just put the ingredients in the pot with my Beneficial Booster in the morning and the rain came to help the biology cook a wonderful, nourishing meal for the plants all week long. Trimmed the alternate lower nodes and leaves. Daylight fell below 13 hours this week and this grow will probably complete with declining daylight hours which will be interesting for me to see the comparison (genetics aside) between the grows I have had when hours were increasing. Daylight today was 12h57m20s.

Sunday, 07-08-2022 Plant looking OK but significantly smaller than Super Lemon Haze.2 - Test Grow #5. Quadline growing out. Some nodes tiny and just developing. Only one feed this this past week as I allowed the pots to dry out from the rain in the previous week. Supplemented feed yesterday with my Beneficial Booster. I made a mistake when preparing and put in double the amount of molasses but the plants seem to be tolerating it so far this morning.

Sunday, 14-08-2022 Plant coming along nicely and is in flower. Secondary stems shooting up from mainlines. Supplemented feed today with my Beneficial Booster. Foliar sprayed the last two nights with The Amazing Doctor Zymes Eliminator for IPM. Except for testing before use, I followed instructions exactly and have noticed no phytotoxicity. Will report on effectiveness next week after completing initial 3 day treatment tonight. @GreenHouseSeedCo, now that all my plants are in flower I can say I will definitely be a customer again 😉

Sunday, 21-08-2022 Plant almost at final structure. Still smaller than The Church - Test Grow #6. Bud sites developing. Significant rain this week so I was only able to do one midweek feeding. Did foliar spray with Cytokin. Totally messed up and overdosed 4X, should have done less than 2 ml/liter but used the one gallon dose of 7.5 ml 😞. Thankfully, I have seen no obvious signs of phytotoxicity but I will need to remember this overdose of hormones and keep watch for any negative consequences. The Amazing Doctor Zymes Eliminator treatment last week seemed to have reduced the aphids to near zero. It's expensive but if it continues to work it will be a valued part of my IPM. Noticed minor tip burning of substantial number of leaves after third consecutive treatment with The Amazing Doctor Zymes Eliminator but that coincided with the immediate area around the pots being cut with a whipper that definitely did minor damage from flying debris so I am not sure what the actual cause was. Repeated treatment yesterday and will attempt to maintain the weekly preventive schedule.

Sunday, 28-08-2022 Stretching up and out and looking good. Top-dressed midweek with 100 ml EM Bokashi Bran. Foliar sprayed yesterday with The Amazing Doctor Zymes Eliminator(TADZE). Plants continue to seem pest free since starting to use TADZE. Only one midweek feed due to pots being saturated with rain on previous weekend. Supplemented feed today with Beneficial Booster comprised of 50 ml molasses, 125 ml EMAS and 15+ ml~ Recharge in 12 litres stored rain water with the molasses diluted in 950 ml filtered tap water, rain water EC=0~, final EC 1.7.

Sunday, 04-09-2022 Plant getting frosty, putting on height and weight. The smell of it and the other SLH currently growing is unlike any marijuana I have ever encountered. For comparison, The Church smells like 'regular' ganja in bloom. This is something different. I don't have much experience with fresh lemons to say its lemony but its a sharp, 'citrusish' odour. Did not get to feed during the week as there was significant rain. Fed today with CAB and runoff rain water. Noticed some mite damage and presence of aphids on some leaves. Is TADZE failing already or did I use it too cold last week?

Not much to say, just growing. To paraphrase a fellow grower, "a boring week is usually a good one since nothing went awry. ;)" Only one midweek feed. Fed today despite rain yesterday.

Tropical Storm Ian in the vicinity. Thankfully not much rain or wind so far. One midweek feed. Pots will need a while to dry out from all this rain. Hopefully no insect or mould/mildew damage.
