Ending of week 3 and beginning of week 4. I started lst a few days ago, now have the top of the plant to the edge of the pot. Just waiting on some of the branches to be able to reach. Plant seems healthy to me but this is my first time.
I got a TDS meter last week and with my feeding 2 days ago I tested the run off and got a ppm of out of limits for the meter. I think it stops reading around 5000ppm. So now my next question is should I flush the soil. Thinking about using sledgehammer or flora kleen.
As long as your plant looks good and is not showing any signs of burn then feed straight pH water until the runoff gets to a good ppm. Flushing all at once can wash away good microbes in the soil.

How often do you feed? I am wondering if I feed when my ppm for my tds is down. Last 2 waterings/feedings I have given nutes and got the runoff to 1062ppm or close and the ec is 2.1. Is it OK to feed every watering as long as my ppm is in a ok range? I water/feed every 3 days
2.1 everytime will likely cause a buildup.... (assumes north american 500 scale for TDS/ppm meter -- if ec is just 1/2 ppm with decimal point shift, it is '500 scale' which looks to be the case.)
in soilless, it is simple:
650-750ppm feed is typically as much as a plant can handle per 24hours without uncontrollable buildup in leaves and interfering with biological processes at some point too.
soil is more of an unknown... your EC can be much higher, but the plant cannot physically take in some of those molecules that cause EC to rise.... some microbe or other outside force much chelate/fixate or whatever.. break it down to a useble chunk of molecule or atoms...
in soil, if you want to fertilize every single time, you just need to ass lowe concentrations than if you do once every 2 or 3 irigations.... roughly the same amounts will be added per week of month regardless of application interval. You'll probably do better with on demand, but there may be minimal difference between that and say 1/2 or 1/3 irrigations. you'd need some existing research to have a clue about that.
so, as the plant ages, it'll show how close you are to a healthy feeding regimen. keep track of what you do... try to use the same products (soil, amendments added etc) so that what you learned will be applicable the next time --- sometimes you have to change some foundational things around and expect to adjust a little to it if you do.
eventually it'll be second-hand for you to do.
try soilless grow sometime... mindlessly add 650-750ppm irigation each and every time with 10-15% runoff waste water (down drain or toss outside) the moment you have a poper balanced feed, it is immediately applicable everywhere else in a resolved way... e.g. if i change brands of nutes, i can do the math and start with a balanced ppm mix of each molecule similar to what i used before and know it will work well, because a rose is a rose is a rose...
check out screenshot of my ppm beakdown in any diary. what you see is a bit lower than what i acutally use, but i jsut dont update the screenshot all the time because it changes based on observances and stage of life but never more than 5-10%. my full feed is closer to 720ppm. i sometime drop to 600-650 early on... when i reduce N to 120ish in bloom, that knocks it down a peg too.
Bruce Banner fed on 7/31/22 with 1 gallon. Ph of run off before feeding was 6.8, 715 ppm and 1.5 ec. Fed Bruce with 5 ml cal-mag+, 1.5 tsp of flora nova bloom, 3 ml amino acids, 6 ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp of great white. When mixed together it had 5.7ph, 894ppm and 1.8ec. Runoff contained 6.4ph, 815ppm and 1.7 ec.
I think I'm doing this right but idk. Maybe someone who understands tds better can explain to me what the difference between the numbers going in and coming out mean.
To me the plant looks like I need to defoilate it more or just try to tuck leaves. I removed a few today, like less than 5. If yall think I need to remove more leaves please let me know.

Still just been removing leaves blocking bud sites. The plant has had 2 waterings without any nutes due to tds reading. I put 2 cup fulls of new happy frog on top a few days ago so I'm assuming that's why the tds is staying higher for a longer period right now. Plant has some burnt tips probably from the extra nitrogen if I had to guess. Seems to be growing ok and stretching. I added 2 trellis nets to try to help support the bud.
End of week 7, beginning of week 8. Hopefully I have a good grasp on feeding, if not can someone please help me. I'll post my last 3 feedings.
Bruce Banner watered/fed on 8/10/22 with 5ml cal mag, 7ml flora nova bloom, 3.5 ml amino acids, 6ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp great white. Mixed together it had a ph of 5.9, 939ppm and 1.9EC. Runoff had 6.3ph, 1.1 EC and 539 ppm. Also removed 52 fan leaves
8/13/22 Bruce Banner defoilated today and watered. Watering had 6.4ph, .8ec and 380ppm. Mixed 5ml cal mag, 6 ml fish shit, 1.5tsp flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids and great white. Fed with 6.0ph, 936ppm and 1.9ec Runoff had 6.5ph, 569ppm and 1.2ec
8/15/22 Bruce Banner watered with 1 gallon distilled water ph'ed 5.9. The runoff had 6.5ph, 466ppm and .8ec. I fed with 5ml cal mag, 6ml fish shit, 1.5tsp flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids, 1/2tsp great white, which had a 5.8ph, 966ppm and 1.9ec. The runoff was 6.4ph, 578ppm, 1.2ec.
8/17/22 Bruce Banner water with 5.2 ph water. Runoff was 6.5ph, .8ec and 399ppm. 5ml cal mag, 8ml flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids, 6ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp great white. 2.0ec, 1011ppm and 4.9ph. Runoff had 6.3ph, 557ppm and 1.1ec

Please do not listen to Grannie!!! You should give nutrients every time you water because plants like a stable amount of nutrients available.
I can see that the finger tips of the leaves start to discolour slightly. This is due overfeeding so I would only give 75% of what you gave previously!
Better is to measure your EC, at this stage till harvest that should be EC 1.8 that is ppm 900. Do not give more then this!!!

Did some defoilation today just trying to make sure not to remove much. I discontinued using the Amino acids now since it's the last few weeks before harvest. This was my last 2 waterings/feedings.
8/19/22 Bruce Banner watered with 1 gallon ph'ed water to 5.2. Runoff was 6.1ph, 345ppm, .7ec
Mixed 5ml cal mag, 9ml flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids, 6ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp great white
Nutes were 6.0ph, 1384ppm and the ec was 1.5
8/21/22 Bruce watered with 1 gallon. Runoff was 6.6ph, .9ec and 450 ppm. Mixed 5ml cal-mag, 10ml flora nova bloom, fish shit and great white. Feeding mixture was 4.8ph, 1427ppm, 2.8ec. Runoff was 6.2ph, 1.4ec, 683ppm
Can definitely tell that the main Tops(oldest) have stopped growing taller, lower branches are still trying to catch up. Tricomes on the top buds are still clear
Seeing the plant starting to fade. I keep checking tricomes to see when its ready but not yet. Posted many pics of my tricomes using a digital microscope.
Still waiting on tricomes to go milky, still have some white hairs. Sorry for the poor video quality. Tell me what yall think. Thanks for checking out my grow!
Looks like almost all white hairs are gone. Should be close to finishing, I hope anyways. Trimmed her up this past week a little bit. Plant is 99 days old.
I removed some colas and am trying to see if the lower growth with tighten up or not. I'll post a Harvest week once I have a dry total weight which will be a few weeks out
First plant, 174.2 grams, super excited, not real happy with how buds looked, not sure if gentics weren't the best for this one but has airy buds except for where the tops were. Still smokes good so no real complaints.
