After a very relaxing vacation, the buckets are bubbling again. Growing another indica-dominant strain; this time around it will be Forbidden Fruit.
Soaked the bean overnight in distilled water and then put her into a peat pellet in a germination tray with PH balanced water (sitting on heat mat). Sprout popped within 48 hours. Root started showing through pellet on day 7 and I moved her into a 5 gallon DWC bucket with light nutes. Top feedings for the next few days until she gets established.

The Forbidden Fruit is underway. I'm always glad (relieved) to see the plants to get beyond the tiny seedling stage. Roots started breaking through the net pot a couple of days ago.
Still rocking the same light dose of nutes in the buckets that we started with a week ago and it will probably be another week before we do a rez change.

The Forbidden Fruit is cruising along. Growth has really accelerated over the past week with leaves and roots looking strong and healthy.
No big PH swings during the week and she was feeding well. Rez change today with a slight increase in feed, running at about .7 EC.
She looked ready for a FIM so I gave her a pinch. We'll give her a couple of weeks to recover and flip the lights to flower by the end of week 4.

Did some defoliation a few days after last weeks FIMing and she's already filled back in significantly. PH has ranged 5.8-6.3 through the week; EC .3-.4. Rez change today with another bump in nutes.

The Forbidden Fruit is continuing to grow very well despite my bouts of neglect. It was a busy week and I missed a couple of her daily checkups and found her PH was running as high as 6.8 - I try to shoot for 5.8-6.2.
I did another bout of light defoliation a few days ago and she quickly filled back in.
I changed her rez yesterday, added flowering nutes, and flipped the lights to 12/12. She's already quite branchy and it looks like I'll have some pruning to do. I'll likely get her into the ScrOG later this week.

The Forbidden Fruit is looking quite lovely and lush as we slide into flower.
I employed the ScrOG net right after last week's update and she's started to fill it out nicely.
EC has been be running between 1.2-1.4. She's been feeding well. PH has been anywhere from 5.7 - 6.4; typically she'll be between 5.8/6.2 👍

The Forbidden Fruit is growing great.
She's a pretty good feeder. EC has been around 1.3-1.4 and PH has been running between 5.8 and 6.2. Rez change yesterday. Same routine as last week.
Flowers are happening and the two plants in this tent have spread out and filled things up pretty nicely.
I did a bit of pruning and cut some of the lower branches away on both plants. I'll do more maintenance once the stretch is over.

The Forbidden Fruit is doing great.
She grew another 9" since last week. I super-cropped a few of the taller branches to help keep things on the level and it's worked out pretty well. I'm hoping she's about done stretching so I don't have to take more drastic action to keep things contained. ✌️
She's still been feeding and drinking well and has been very stable. PH has been right around 6/6.1 most of the week with EC around 1.2-1.3. Rez change yesterday; no changes to her nutrient regime.

The Forbidden Fruit continues to grow really well. I super-cropped a couple more of the taller stems and cut back more undergrowth. I think she's done stretching now and is about 42" tall.
She's starting to get quite fragrant and emits a wonderful tangerine smell when you brush against her bud sites. Very much looking forward to this harvest - but still a ways to go.

The Forbidden Fruit is still growing great. She's finished her stretch and topped out at 43".
I pruned a lot of branches out of her this week. There was a lot of undergrowth and I thinned things out pretty significantly. Much better airflow through the plant now.
Buds are starting to fatten and get more firm. It's like a fruit salad in this tent with the tangerine scents of this little lady combined with the sweet berry aroma from the Formula One Plus growing next to her. Yum.
EC has been averaging right around 1.6 (800 PPM) most of the week. I let her go for a couple of days before her I changed her rez yesterday and it had climbed to about 2.1 (1060 PPM).

The Forbidden Fruit is doing great. This plant has been a pleasure to grow.
She has a fantastic tangerine smell; I can't resist rubbing a stem when I'm tending to her to grab a whiff. 🍊
The Forbidden Fruit is ending the near of the road. Already some amber trichomes showing on the upper most buds and cloudy throughout the rest of the plant. I'm surprised how quick she finished. Low-end of breeders estimate said 7 weeks of flower and we're right there.
She's had only water top-ups since last week's rez change and she'll likely get chopped tomorrow.

Cherry Pie x Tangie
Some of the most delicious smelling buds I've grown yet - very strong citrus/tangerine scent.
The smoke is less tangerine forward and more balanced. The cherry flavour comes through along with the citrus and some earthiness.
She has a 7-10 week flowering period and she was pretty much ready at 7 weeks. I wish I'd let her go a little longer to allow the lower buds to mature more. Oh well. More fodder for canna butter or hash. A decent harvest overall - 89 grams of fine bud for smoking and another 58 grams of larf and trim for butter or hash.
