I will be using build a soil products on this grow. I am not sponsored. I have had really good luck with their stuff.
I have added stage specific microbes, enzymes, and a wetting agent to my fertilization schedule this round.
Got some pests. Hoping they are thrips. Gonna dose with Monterey spinosad as soon as I think they can handle it.
Seems to be getting some steam now.
I applied Monterey Spinosad and so far no new thrip damage and no live visible at this point.
The seedlings didn't seem to mind.
I expect I will transplant into 1 gallon pots of Build a Soil 3.0 recipe next week.
This lady has not needed anything since transplant except water. She's looking good despite the bugs... about that:
The flowering tent is down so there was a much more effective application of Monterey spinosad to kill the thrips.
You can tell the thrip damage as white spots or streaks on the leaf. Sometimes a waxy looking coating is present as well.
Thrips themselves are VERY small... not quite microscopic as adults though, they look like tiny orange-ish brown rice shaped specks.they will move if you bother them.
At any rate, the science experiment is over and a respectful farewell to the infestation is in order. It's over.
I expect to transplant to 3 gallons next week. She should be close to flower time in 2 to 3 weeks.
Can't wait to see what she smells like!!
This lady has been extremely vigorous from the start.
Transplanted to 3 gallon fabrics a few weeks ago into build a soil 3.0.
Yesterday I applied Bio Phos(microbes) and Quillaja extract(saponins) These are used to increase immune system health and nutrient uptake.
Week 3 she's putting on some gorgeous lookin bud sites.
Last week she got microbes and quillaja extract, so this week she gets Build a Flower top dress and Build a bloom tea.
I added 2 cups of Build-a-flower top dress right on top and watered it in.
I mixed 3 gallons of Build a bloom tea at a rate of 1 tsp per gallon and will apply that tomorrow after it has been aerating for 30 hours.
This lady has just EXPLODED with huge flowers!!
Such an exciting plant to watch.
The dense thick haired flower structures are just what I like to see!
The smells are very sweet and a little sour. No banana yet to speak of.
That said the smells are amazing
This one seems less affected by the herm that dropped pollen. Fingers crossed.
Week 8:
Water and wait
This Lady is SUCH a blast to watch!!!!
Her giant colas and sugary orange nugs just sparkle with resin.
The structure is GREAT for avoiding bud rot which would be my major concern here.
She has been flushing for a week.
I assume she has 1 or 2 more in her.
Really excited to write this smoke report.
Harvest: Day 67 of 12/12
over 10% amber trichs
She's finished!!!
This got REALLY stinky at the end.
It's more of a sunset sherb leaner in terms of smell.(WONDERFUL)
The golf balls on this baby make me drool.
Excited to get her dried and cured!!
