The Ethos MC cracked and germinated very well. 5 for 5 is pretty good. Right out of the gate when they are in solo cups they take hold quiet well. The DC is a bit different. It's always been a finicky strain. I'm going to feed it alone study stalk since the stack structure can be weak. It's also old seed as well. Of the 7 I soaked about 6 popped and 4 took hold in solo cups. Not bad but not great either.

So this is almost the end result of me using a cloner to start my seeds. It did a fantastic job as most of what I put in germinated to this point. I simply kept the seedling mat on and the t5 light on 24 hrs. Switched back to 18/6 Once I felt comfortable to take off the dome. The temps can fall to 67F due to my central AC running. But so far so good. Going to feed Microbial Mass in a few weeks.

Ok so this is more like week 4 and 5. Most of the plants as you can see are doing very well. 1 MC looks like it's deficent but I have a feeling it's root system was damaged when in the solo cup. So I fed it 1 more time and upped my base nutes to 1ml per L. I also added Microbial Mass in the watering and it has seem to have helped. I had one DC in the solo cup for a week longer because it was stunted. Mostly due to the fact that I accidentally over watered it. But it survived that and the transplant. It's starting to perk up finally so I'm happy that my 4 DC's are doing ok. All in All we got about a month left of veg I'll probably flip these in 4-5 weeks.

This week has been stellar in terms of growth. The plants have doubled in size. The LST has been paying off as some plants have been shooting up more nodes. Very happy with the way things are going. Even my 2 small plants have really started to show signs of improvement. I did some defoliation to help with the LST but not much. I'm not going to change much in the way of feeding this week as most plants are in the water treatment side. I usually do water feed water feed combo. Unless the plant is showing signs of deficency I won't feed twice. Dinachem's stalk structure is week and so they will need a treatment of sturdy stalk this week. It says to add during water as this additive will raise your PH significantly. So be sure to have some PH down on hand. Other than that I won't increase the base nutes till next week. Just a few more weeks of veg left and I'll flip to flower.

So at the end of this week I was hit in most of my MC plants with deficiencies. 2 of them are doing well but for some reason my base nutes seem to have fallen short of the MC's needs. But I upped the base to 1.25ml per L. The Dc are doing very well and I'm very happy with the way they are. Maybe it's because the Sturdy Stalk was used so I'll be adding it to the water and Microbial Mass as well. Hopefully it will set it strait. It looks as though I'll be flipping in 2 weeks provided that my deficiencies work themselves out. Did a little more LST work along with some defoliation to help the nodes spread out. This is my first time growing Mandarin Cookies so it isn't a surprise that I'm running into small issues with this strain. I'll learn next time to step on the gas more.

Well we have reached our first milestone. The Canopy has hit 18 inches. Not all plants mind you have reached this but the canopy is very even with maybe a 2 inch difference tops. The pictures you see are the day after I watered and fed 6 plants. I managed to stop the deficiencies in the MC plants and they have recovered. MC 1 is still kind of scrawny but I think it will make it. I did some lollipopin but it's limited. I plan on taking a few clones and seeing if I can get 1 continual harvest. My next run might be pure seed but who knows. We'll see how it works out. All I know is that these plants are in the final days of veg. My next post will be it's last as veg.

This is it. I flipped mid week so this will be my last post in veg. So far most of the plants are doing well. The one in the lower right corner is my most lack luster and the one in the upper left. Both have suffered deficiencies however I fed them twice and I have started to introduce emerald goddess. It has lots of stuff in it that will help them recover plus it still has a decent amount of nitrate in it. Judging from their color they may need a bit of it. I also have a confession to make I did not check on one feeding session with 2 plants however thanks to the buffer in the soil it did not seem to affect the plants at all. So maybe I was on point and just didn't realize it. Did some lollipoping and cut a few leaves here and there for better penetration of the nodes. Very happy with the way veg turned out. Looking forward to the hard part which will be pumping these plants with plenty of nutes and microbes.

So the first week of flower was a great success. I managed to turn some of those fading plants back to a darker green. Sometimes giving 2 feedings in a row isn't a bad idea. I'm sorry for the lack of pictures this post as I have been dealing with a family emergency. Not to mention I have kick started a new grow tent. So far the Mandarin Cookies clones rooted so well I regret not getting the shot. Just think of medusa's hair and you get the picture. The dinachem's on the other hand didn't root as well despite the same methods used. I planted 8 out of 12 in a new 3x3 which I will be posting with shortly as I've just set up the thing. Switched my nutes to bloom and started to add emerald goddess and king kola.

This week was a bit rough on the humidity front. My AC infinity read out was showing a top out of 70% when my dehumidifier was off. When on I can get it to max 54% which when it's at that reading can be ok but I'd rather it be closer to 50%. As you can see in some of the shots I did some more defoliating to improve air flow in the canopy. Speaking of which is filling out nicely with maybe a few holes. I also added Honey Chome to the mix as this is the point where I like to increase my sugar levels in the plant. Most of emerald harvest line up should be used in flower. No point in adding sugar in veg really. The Mandarin cookies seem to have righted themselves and are growing nicely again. MC 1 in particular has regained a lot of green is slim but healthy plant. The Dinachems are doing even better. I did feed some sturdy stalk to the DC just for added strength cause those plants tend to flop over when gaining weight. Still got a long way to go but I seem to be pushing on strong.

This week has been going very Smoothly. I seem to have been able to lower my humidity even further by re placing my dehumidifier to another vent. It has worked like a charm. My temp read out says 81 but I'm betting it's closer to 79 since the probe is near my light which is on full blast. So far the Mandarin Cookies seems to be stacking up a tad thicker than the Dinchem. I also did one last round of sturdy stalk for the DC just to make sure they can handle the bud weight this time. I have been very busy with family this past two weeks so I haven't really had a chance to document this well. But it's going as good as it can. My veg tent seems to be picking up steam which reminds me I have to post about the clones I made from these plants. Out of 13 11 rooted. I was shocked at how quickly the ethos mandarin cookies rooted. It easily beat the DC by about 3-4 days. Anyway hope you had a good summer cause harvest season is coming.

So we are pretty much in the middle of flower. Only 3 more weeks of feeding then I will be so happy to flush. Sometimes these ladies need to be hit every 2 days instead of 3. This is especially true of my DC most of which are in fabric pots. Nutes shall remain the same although I might ditch the honey chome in 2 weeks time since it's running low and I'm not in the mood to spend on micro nutes at this point. The DC's are starting to smell their sweetness. The MC's have a diesel smell to them. The Mc's seem to be packing more weight on but DC isn't a heavy yielder but a heavy smoke. Most small buds like OG kush have that effect. I'm pretty much done with defoliation as some leaves are starting to fall off which is a true sign of fall. Lately I've been going HARD on my dehumidifier. It has been causing temp spike of 83 until I compared my AC infinity read out to another hydrometer. Temps seem to be on point but moisture is like 11% difference. I've decided to try and dial it in by offing my dehumidifier during the day and running at night. Hoping that will solve my heat issue as well as saving me money. Oh how I fear seeing my hydro bill this month.

This week has been good as usual. I ran out of Chitosal and Microbial Mass so it's off the feeding schedule. Only a few more weeks left anyways and at 1 feed per 2 weeks I feel I got the best I could out of said product. I reintroduced sturdy stalk to be applied during watering of the DC's. I just had 1 bud site bend on me already and I need to reinforce the stalks of the DC's since they are very vulnerable to snapping. MC's are fattening up very well. Tricombs on either strain are slowly starting to develope. The gassy smell of the MC are putting me off a bit so I may not grow this in the future. Who knows until you smoke it. The DC have their sweet smell to them. My dehumidifier is doing the job well and since the furnace will be turned on in a week or two I might not need it anymore. Clones are also doing well but I should get around to posting it in another diary.

So as per usual the plants are doing well. MC1 is faded but I've always had issues with her so I'm not too concerned as her bud structure has really fattened out. The DC's are doing well. Did not add sturdy stalk but that may change for a few of the DC's have have yet to hit with a 3rd round of treatment. This will be the last week of full nutrient strength. I may feed MC1 one extra feed a week and a half before harvest but that's it. I'm nearing the end of my bottle with Honey Chome so I'm glad I have just enough for this week. There have been a few DC bud sites that have snapped which I'm a bit pissed about it but there still alive so we'll see what happens. Chemdawg is not a good SOG strain. But all in all I'm very happy that flowering is coming to a close and once everything dries out it's clone transplant time.

Well here we are. The crest of a new harvest. I'm a few days behind on my posting but the good news is that I have started the flush. I managed to use up all my hone chome just a few days before nutrient cut off day. I also reduced my king kola or pk booster to 2ml per L. I am so happy not to be feeding as I put a lot of nutes into this grow. The fade has already started on my MC1. However I feel due to it's deficient nature earlier on that it will mature a bit faster than her counter parts. Oddly enough the buds came out very beautiful. I'm starting to get a bit of blue tinge to it. We'll see when the fade is in full effect. My more familiar strain Dinachem has that same great smell but crappy bud structure. I've had a few snapped buds sites that really pisses me off but this strain packs a punch and I'm glad I'm about to chop it. I won't be posting on this diary for a while due to the fact that there really won't be any content until I chop and jar my product. But in the meantime I will be starting a new diary with the clones I took off this crop. I'm hoping to make some seeds and if all goes well I will be replicating a few strains for preservation.

Very odd smell to this. Like gassy and orange peele. Very hungry plant used a feed water feed. Had deficiencies last few days of veg. When flipped to flower for some reason feed water feed was ok. FYI not 100% sativa more like 60 40 split. THC 29%

This was my first go with Ethos genetics and I have to say I'm very impressed. Compared to the chemdog I grew it's visual appeal was much better however with the 5 plants it's weight per plant was under the chemdog's for some reason. My 1 big plant harvested 110 grams but I did have 2 small plants that did yield a bit but were maybe slightly under 2 oz's. As for the smoke it's very unique. I haven't had time to let it cure but for what I have smoked once the cure is done the flavors will be full on. Initially during it's growth it came across as gassy and I thought I was getting a diesel knock off. But then it hits you with orange peele just like the box. Very potent stuff I have yet to test for thc which I will edit in at a later date. I have some clones that are later stages of veg growth. My only real big complaint is that it needs a lot of feeding in the last days of veg. I seem to get deficiencies during this time and the clones are no exception. But all in all a very positive and great meds. EDIT It does smell and taste like orange peele. Very happy with the cure. THC 29%

This strain is a pain in the ass to harvest. It has a lot of small bud sites but the good news is with that is that it won't shrink much during the harvest. The sturdy stalk did a nice job but I keep getting snapped branches and this strain is not ideal for SOG. But great sativa dom of old school strains. To bad you won't be able to find this in a few years cause of the Dinafem bust a while back. Edit While normally this strain comes back either high teens low twenty the THC test came to 27%. I did well with this run! :)
