CBD Lemon please

Looking forward to this grow. I'm not a huge fan of super potent strains, so i'm hoping the 1:1 ratio of thc and cbd will make for a pretty mellow high. rated at 17% of each (in an ideal world of course). Germinated straight into the final pot, took a few nights to sprout, had to give it a hand to to remove a layer of "skin" so the cotyledons could open up (very carefully used a clean toothpick). Probably should have used a bigger pot, but my flowering tent is only 3x3x5 and im planning on growing 3 strains at once this time, so i need the space. I've been averaging 1.5 oz per plant (im still a beginner) so i figured if i can do that with 3 plants, ill be happy. Herbies reckons 70-75 days and to pull before any amber trichomes appear (or else the cbd will degrade). Planning to keep her in the veg tent until my Gorilla Glue is finished (2-3 weeks) then into the flower tent, under HPS. Might move it sooner, my cheap veg led is really crappy, it appears bright enough but since buying it i've bought a light meter, and to get 25,000 LUX i need to have the meter pushed up right against the board. crappy SMD diodes too. 45watt is just a guess, one of those "replaces 250watt hps" BS lights lol. looking at upgrading ASAP

Day 6, so almost entering 2nd week. She's growing okay, steady. Gave her a small feeding of calipro grow a & b. have a small dome over her for extra humidity EDIT: oh yeah, she's in the flowering tent now, needed the room for some micro grows :)

Day 10 Fed a small amount of nutrients again, seems to be enjoying them, no signs of nute overload. Not growing as fast as i'd like, will hopefully grow a bit faster once i've taken Gorilla Glue out, so i can have them directly under the light + raise them up to be closer. Probably should have just made 1 diary for both this and Solomatic but ah well. If you check the Solomatic diary you'll see i'm having a bit of a while fly battle... not really a battle, just a few. I've sprayed all plants minus Gorilla Glue and some tiny seedlings with "Enspray99" - https://www.grosafe.co.nz/insecticides-hg/organic-enspray-99-insect-oil-300ml/ - which has worked well for other things in the past (powdery mildew) so i'm hoping it will at least deter the flies. Will probably get some burns from it being under the light after spraying but meh, worth it. Temps aren't great since going to metal halide, could be part of why she's not growing all that fast... but i mean, its only been 10 days so i should give her a break lol if you look closely you can see a wee habanero seedling in there, didn't think it would grow, we'll see how long it lasts lol DAY 15 Didn't realise i could just edit the weeks instead of just starting a new one lol. So day 15, i made a dumb mistake, while performing some LST on my Solomatic Auto, which went well, i tried to do the same with cbd lemon, for some reason the stem was very hard (even though solomatic is a lot bigger it was still easier to bend), and while bending it i heard/felt it break :( obviously not a clean break, more of a fracture. i left it bent over for a few hours and checked on it, the solomatic had bounced back but not the cbd lemon. So i undid the LST and attached a split on the main stem to keep it upright (it didnt really need it but though i should anyway), its growing fine, new growth over night. i've since cut off the splint... i think i was just panicked more than needed. it'll most likely grow fine but may be stunted. I also noticed the leaves are quite rough, which i guess is kinda normal for early leaves, but ive raised the lights just in case. each plant is still getting 25-30,000LUX, which is the range it should be in. Now that i've harvested Gorilla Glue, i've turned down the extractor fan a lot, to boost the humidity up for easier growth, its around the 55-60% range now (as opposed to 35-40%), hopefully it helps :) Oh, and i really shouldnt have added nutrients, getting a bit of nute burn. so no more until flower.

Day 40 Been a while since i've updated. Kinda got discouraged by how small they've ended up. I've started another grow of cbd lemon in a bigger pot, 3 gallon air pot this time, be interesting to see how it turns out. This girl is around 11inches at the moment, probably end up being like 15 or something, we'll see. Definitely has a cal mag issue, im not sure i can be bothered investing money into fixing it, will probably just DIY it and get some epsom salts. i'm pretty sure it was a result of oil shitty soil, weird leaf "bite" marks from an insect that isnt there too heh. Since she's so small i decided to lollipop it a bit, cutting off any larfy buds from about halfway down. She's also starting to get some mutated buds like my last grow im pretty sure. Which makes me think that the "zkittles" that i grew was actually cbd lemon hahah, i guess we'll find out come harvest. The way it looks is also a telling sign. longer pistils though so who knows. I'll try to update more frequently.

Day 47 Progressing along nicely, first time ive grown something this hairy with little to no trichomes, i noticed today that they are slowly starting, but hardly, hopefully it picks up. Added around 1 teaspoon of epsom salts across 2 waterings, which seems to have helped the magnesium deficiency, also sprinkled some on top of the soil. No real smell yet. Definitely a genetic mutation/fasciation, which sucks, it was a freebie seed though so can't really complain too much. Bud spacing is nice, good stacking. Just tiny lol. I'm gonna throw a guess out there, 26 grams dry lol

Day 52 Progressing nicely, still small obviously and i dont think it's going to bulk out much, but at least shes starting to get some frost :) finally lol Leaves are losing colour already. I'm not overly impressed by the Cali Pro line of nutrients, i've blatantly been over-feeding and shes not showing any signs of nute burn, and seems to be draining leaves of nitrogen pretty early. Gonna look into a different range of nutes for my next grows. Technically not week 8, more like 7 1/2 but i felt the need to post so, shrug? lol 12" tall, not stretching any more. Gonna be a small yield, but i already knew that. Hopefully the new cbd lemon ive started does better :) oh and surprise surprise, the mutated buds are the last to get any trichomes.

Harvested at around 64/65 days - a bit early but my last harvests roots were starting to develop root rot (discovered after harvest), and this grow was using the same old soil, and was also beginning to smell a bit... rank, for lack of a better word. So decided it would be smart to harvest now instead of risking ruining the whole grow with rot. The trichomes were around 80% milky with a sprinkling of amber in some spots, so i'm not too worried. I grew this for the CBD anyway, and breeders advice says to not let the trichomes get amber soooo shrug? Only one or two parts were noticeably premature. Nice and sticky, mutations are annoying but whatever. Probably only get an ounce at best, probably more like a half. I put that down to shitty medium (recycled) didn't weigh wet, no point. Growing this strain again, if i get another mutation i won't be growing it again. funnily enough, the breeder tried telling me it was a good thing lol
