North Atlantic Seed Company sent this as a freebie with my order. If you live in North America I highly recommend them.
I soaked the seed for 12hrs in is own baggie, then planted it directly into the soil.
A few days later and we got a winner ladies and gentlemen! Looking forward to this grow! It will be running alongside my Fast berry which probably has 4-5 weeks left. Hopefully I don't run out of space!
We are gonna be really tuff on this girl. I want her to stretch a little more than my fast berry did, so this time around I'm gonna give her much less light. She's currently sitting at 200PPFD. I'm also gonna try FIM'ing, as well as more heavier defoliation. I plan to offset this abuse by letting her grow more freely and not do as much LST as I did on my first grow. When she starts to flower I'm gonna do some lolipoping and remove lower bud sites to focus more on the main colas. Like I said, I'm planning to slap this hoe around and make her call me daddy. 😜 Lets see how she does.
7/24: Day 12- Shes looking great so far, I've given her small tastes of the nute mixes I've been giving the FastBerry. Haven't decided yet if I'm gonna go crazy with these bottled nutes or if I'm just gonna use dry amendments. I plan to top/FIM her after 3 or 4 nodes. She sure has some big leaves! I expect this to get much larger than the Fastberry.
7/28: Day 15- I topped her today. I ate the top. It was delicious, kind of like watermelon. 😜
7/31: Day 19- Decided to repot her today to her final pot. Coated the roots in Great White and put her in 50/50 FF OF/HF and I amended it with Gaia Green 4-4-4. I watered it in with a mix of Fish shit, Golden Tree, and CalMag.
sorry I missed this week. I still took pictures. It looks like she hermed right under where I topped her, funny only on one side of the plant though. the same side it hermed on there are also mutated leaves. I'm sure this is a response to a combination of different stresses it encountered over the last weeks. namely it getting a shot of nutes, on top of being transplanted, on top of me topping it.
I decided to remove the suspect parts and will treat her a little more gentle from here on out, don't want it to herm again. I didn't want to LST but my other plant isn't ready for harvest yet so I don't want to move my light so I got to do some LST to keep my light where it is. I also removed two fan leaves that were blocking the lower nodes. she's definitely in early flower now.
Update, she hermed again, but it was all on the same node, removed and inspected plant. didn't find anymore.
8/17 is the beginning of week 5, week 2 of flower. she's looking happier than she's ever been! if she makes it through flower looking like this than I might be a forever convert to Gaia green.
8/21 Day 40 did some major LST today i know i said i would let it grow freely but I'm trying to keep it from growing vertically until I harvest the other girl.
