Popped a mango smile and a blueberry seed, This will be my first auto and I've heard nothing but good things about Mephisto Genetics. Germination was done in a small Tupperware with paper towels. Mango popped first and I was worried about the Blueberry since it took 2 days.
Didn't get any pics of germ:( spray bottle only for watering till 1st true leaves
week one went well and I re-potted from my germination pots. My understanding is for autos is they don't like being re-potted and letting them get root bound can push them into flower early. Definitely gong to platy this grow a little different for the auto.
The seedlings stretched a little more than I liked but I covered the stems with more soil and they've started to straighten up
7/15 mango doing well, and the blueberry would be great if it could stand up straight. Might have to do some rearranging to the nursery soon. I need to move my mothers to the floor and lower the light some to avoid all that stretching.
7/17 did some rearranging, both seedlings doing well, blueberry is standing straighter.
7/19 both plants doing well
7/20 blue berry is mostly straight now, stems are starting to strengthen up
7/21 Mango is a grower, Blueberry is healthy but not as vigorous. Contemplating lowering the light a few more inches to get better node spacing girls are still stretching a little more than I like
7/23 Fan may have been too strong dropped it down to 2 instead of 3
7/26 and of week 2 finishing out with the blueberry starting to catch up to the mango smile. Likely to repot the mango tomorrow to her final container if she doesn't have any transplant issues she'll be moving to the flower room
7/27 entering week 3 and both plants got repotted. Blueberry Is standing straight and on it's 4th node. Mango smile is on it's fifth and I'm starting the lst, I'm not topping the auto and I'm bending it over to produce more main colas.
7/29 training on the mango going well, want a bit more growth on the blueberry before I top
7/31 Mango looking good and blueberry has been topped
8/4 mothers moved to the flower room and everyone else moved to the floor and the light has been lowered. Training continues with the mango smile and the blueberry is looking much better now that it can support itself.
Sorry about week 5 on to week six. Mango smile is starting her preflower and has been moved to the flower room. blueberry is going to get another week or so in veg then she'll head that way too.
Mango has been flowering nicely and the blueberry has made it's way to the flower room, and had it's first 12 hours of darkness. Stems on the blueberry are pretty thick for 34 days of veg.
8/27 blueberry is now flowering 7 days from flip
The mango is slowly chugging along, it's not a fast grower not sure how long she'll go for. Blueberry on the other hand stretched hard. won't need to do any defol on the blueberry she's screaming sativa pheno and is pretty sparse of foliage naturally. still no aroma from the blueberry but she's still early in her flower.
Plant never showed vigorous growth outside of the first 2 weeks of veg, she smells great and the buds are frosty but she was small I'll get photos up later
small harvest maybe 15-20 grams wet. Larf test has me blitzed it's couchlock for sure. Won't talk bad about it being an auto but I don't think I'll be growing too many more autos for myself.
blueberry is almost as tall as the girls that got 10 weeks of veg. Her pheno is very different than everything else in my flower room. Can't say she smells of blueberries yet although the smell is very nice.
Plant did well from veg onward. germing these freebies ended up only one of 3 successfully germing with the one that did taking longer than normal in my experience to do so(2 seeds were attempted later which I gave 3 weeks using the damp towel method). Cultivar is blueberry but sadly it doesn't have the blueberry aroma. While it's a nice smell profile I am kind of ad that I didn't get the pheno I was hoping for with This strain. In flower It reached for the sky with it's 2 week spurt. nodal spacing was kind of spindly but the plant had strong stems so it didn't end up an issue. Buds aren't huge but they do have a nice frosting and they look dense. Just bummed I had two duds from my freebies.
