An unplanned grow with all the fun. Owner of seeds has ended up mixing the seeds and now we flying blind. Unsure of the breeders so take note that I'm only slightly confident in my breeder tags here. Germ method is seeds wrapped in a paper towel moistened and sealed in a small Tupperware container. Container is now sitting in the dark along with me on which seeds are which strains.
7/15 all seeds germinated, using only organic composted soil/ compost pile is 3 years old and contains grass clippings, oak leaves, oak and maple tree branches, spoiled fruit and vegetables. weeds, dead annuals, sol and stumps of my first grow, biochar from burning oak and maple branches and oak acorns.. It's the same medium I'm using for my other grows and works well, and importantly is all organic. Only thing other than water that I'm adding is fish shit soil conditioner.
7/19 all but two of the seedlings are topside with their cotyledons free of the seed husk.
7/20 One of the seedlings failed, It never sent it's taproot down into the soil. Of the rest one just lost is shell and is still greening up and the others look healthy.
7/21 quite a bit of growth in 1 day. All five remaining seedlings looking healthy.
7/23 everyone looking healthy if not a lil crooked. not going to be an issue, girls will be re-potted and stems buried some.
7/26 three are straight shooters and two lean hard, all healthy looking though. ignore the runtz muffin clone that's hanging out with them, she isn't part of this grow diary
7/27 Everyone happy and healthy. Repotting them as soon as I get a few more makeshift containers.
7/29 end of week one has all the seedlings repotted and on their way in their veg
My dog managed to damage some of my plants. luckily nothing major. color and vigor is good for all the girls aside from the damage. No noticeable difference in the girls right now to guess at which are wedding pie and which are animal cookies.
I've gotten all the girls repotted into 5 gallon bags. Did my my IPM treatment and picked 2 mothers. The plants are looking like I ended up with 2 of one strain and 3 of the other. I only popped 6 of 12 seeds so the distribution could have been all of one cultivar. once room opens up in the flower room 3 will be going into flower. Probably another week or so on that.
Moved two of the girls to the flower room now that space has opened up keeping 2 different phenos for mothers so only one more is going to be joining the others once I get her healthy again she didn't like her transplant and might need a week to recouperate.
the 2 that had gone to flower ended up being male. Glad I didn't trust them to be feminized. So they got axed and another of the mystery plants went into the flower room. 2 left in the nursery and now I have to make sure that I don't have any balls in the flower room.
only one girl left in the nursery the other remaining survivors are in flower and I'm hoping for no more males. Still pissed that I got told they were feminised.
2 plants left one in flower and being slow about flowering and one stuck in veg cause she got pissed after her transplant. Having to keep a sharp eye on both cause at ths point I'm sure these girls were bagseeds. I have no compunction about murdering either one if I see so much as a hint of balls.
