First coco grow

medicinal She sprouted with browned cotyledon leaves, I can't seem to pin point the cause. So far i suspect high heat? genetical flaw? pathogens?

medicinal She's been growing extremely slow. Since the cotyledons are already brown, I went on with some light feed. I did not get coco specific nutes since I already have biobizz stuff left over from my previous soil grow. Biobizz suggests adding Acti-Vera when using their nutes in coco since coco is inert. So I got Acti-Vera too which i previously did not have.

medicinal Still maintaining the slow pace. The newer leaves appeared to be imbalanced, one side is smaller then the other. Let's see if she catches up.

medicinal I've also transplanted to a smaller cup since the original big pot was staying too wet for long periods of times. Let's see if i see any improvement. Despite regular balanced feedings, she's showing deficiencies on the lower leaves. I strongly doubt that the organic BioBizz nutes are working in coco despite the addition of Acti-Vera as Biobizz suggests. I already had my doubts using organic nutes in coco but BioBizz said it's doable. It's been a big let down. I've ordered some coco specific mineral nutrients that should be arriving soon. I'd be doing another transplant into some fresh coco to get rid of any biobizz stuff and then i'd exclusively use mineral nutrients.

medicinal This week has been amazing. The Plagron Cocos nutrients have worked wonders!! There has been so much growth in just a week since switching nutes. I've already had to top the plant since my tent is so small, and initiated some LST. It would seem that the combination of Biobizz nutes and coco was the problem all along. Since there is no microbial life in coco, the Biobizz Acti-Vera enzymes were simply not good enough to make the nutes available for the plant. I feel like Biobizz should be more transparent regarding the use of their organic line in coco. But instead they say the nutes work perfectly with just the addition of Activera.
