Started this Skunk Deluxe plant in my indoor tent along with an indoor Mellow AK and another outdoor Northern Legend. Both outdoor plants are being done in a greenhouse and are filling in the vacant space left by two recently harvested auto Cheeses ( tester plants for Aztech Genetics label)
These plants will get Bio Bizz grow added every watering now until flush and I will add Guanokalong Bat Guano Powder just before flowering begins and again around 3 -4 weeks later. I have also been adding liquid silicone too to see how this does on outdoor plants as been impressed with the results in coco with it.
Skunk Deluxe settled into new pot but was sitting in water for a couple of days and doesn't look too impressed by it. Have removed the excess water and with some sunny weather due next few days she'll soon sort herself out.
A friend of mine did this strain indoors recently in coco and brought a sample round the weekend. One of the nicest Skunks I have ever had and produced rock solid dense nugs indoors caked in trichomes
Plant settling in ok to greenhouse, side branching is starting too. I topped this plant about 5 days ago and she's now starting to grow to main buds, I may top again in a week
Got a little concerned last week about timings for topping the plant without knowing for sure when she will trigger flower phase naturally so went over with some scissors 5 days ago and topped her again at every available point. That will be all the topping now and she can be left to flower naturally.
Skunk Deluxe is doing ok and still not in flower just yet which is all cool, gave the plant a top dressing of bat guano and i'll repeat this about half way through flower.
I had whitefly take an interest in my greenhouse ganja as soon as put them inside, I sprayed with an organic pest control but it seems to have left a white staining on some of the leaves and caused others to grow a little weird. looks like it's all rectified it'self now on the new growth
mid week update, While the plant is showing no signs or being ready to flower I thought it wise to tie down a little to spread her out a little more and control height. Flowering should begin in the next weeks.
Still no signs of flower or preflowers and I think when she shows she will just kick into flower straight away.
New leaves are all looking fine but there's still a bit of mutation on some as a reaction to the organic bug spray I used to help prevent the whitefly.
Think my timing for topping and lst has been just about right and hopefully get a few nice colas for the jars
Signs of first female pistils are now on plant but very hard to see, pre-flowers at this stage still. The mutated leaf situation caused by some organic bud treatment seems to have now corrected it'self in the new leaf growth.
I'm pleased with my lst training timing as I think full flower will have kicked in very soon. :)
White hairs showing on the Skunk Deluxe but I wouldn't say she's actually in flower just yet.
Topping seems to have worked well in producing several bud sites but ideally I could do with the stems on some of the higher up topped sites fattening up a bit more before flower fully kicks in as at moment some are quite thin.
The Skunk Deluxe is just in flower now and I'm interested to see is she is going to stretch much more yet.
I don't think this girl will be ready til around mid November so have brought a paraffin heater should things start to get colder in greenhouse
Stretching seems to be slowing right down although hasn't stopped completely. I've added a heater into greenhouse now which will be on overnight and in day too if colder weather brings daytime temps down.
Skunk Deluxe is looking very nice and is fattening up nicely. Slight smell to her when disturbed or moved about but otherwise shes not too bad at this stage
Skunk Deluxe is still packing weight and I think shes still got at least 2 weeks left in her.
Slight smell to her but only becomes a concern when plant is disturbed or moved around so can be avoided.
Looking forward to this one when ready :)
Frosting up nicely and still chucking out new white hairs, will let her go 9 weeks so just under 2 weeks to go
Smell getting stronger but not an issue unless plant is disturbed or moved around
Solid nugs again that are very frosty, she smells sweet but unless she's moved about she isn't noticeable from outside greenhouse.
Nice budded plant , Looking forward to smoking this as have already tried her done indoors and was one of the nicest Skunks I've had :)
Really nice plant and very strong high, very frosty buds. Nice result considering plant wasn't started until mid summer. I've had this strain before grown in coco under hps and this outdoor/greenhouse bud is just as strong, nice old school skunk, fruity flavours and a nice balanced body and head stone.
