Popped directly into a hydrosoil mix of 50% sifted bag soil, 30% Coco and 20% vermiculite/perlite. Straight tap water for week one with a quarter strength CalMag and a rooting stimulant presoaked into the soil before I planted the seed. Looking really healthy and strong. The last Pineapple Express Auto I grew was a very strong grower, so I hope this one does it justice.
Good growth this week. Nice strong and consistent genetics (as expected from Barney’s Farm). Still just on tap water until those first proper leaves break out. The soil is already rich in nutes, so I’m just adding CalMag at 1ml per litre, so they can take full advantage of the intense LEDs.
She’s starting to grow fast now - those second and third nodes will come out and start sucking up that full spectrum 900w Viparspectar.
Used a base feed of water, Gogo juice and CalMag as usual. At the end of this week, they will get force fed some good old salt based As and Bs.
Update: gave her a full feed on day 17 and she responded well. Lights now at 24 inches. BEAST MODE ACTIVATED.
How much of a difference does adding CO2 make to your yield? Is it worth the added cost and effort per gram of finished cured flower? Or is it only worth it if you have a full time commercial scale grow with full control of your grow environment?
Hi @JasbadSirron! I won't recommend this for home growers, since it can be dangerous for humans and will work only in a closed environment. However, if your grow room is already sealed, without heat/airflow issues, you could try simple solutions such as CO2bags, they're made for home growers like us and seem pretty easy to use. Keep us up-to-date, and happy growing 👊
She’s taking off now. Just showing pre-flowers so this is her last week of vege.
Almost a time the end of week 4. Growth is really going off. Gave her her first full feeding - she took 4.5ltrs before there was any run off. Since then she’s going crazy.
@BudStinkWeed, cheers mate. I’ve put the lights on full bloom now and dropped thenheight down to about 36 inches. They have really shot up overnight. I will add some new photos soon as just doing weekly updates doesn’t do it justice.
I will upload more photos soon of week 6. Suffice to say, the plants are going mad and are getting bigger and bigger. My phone is busted right now, so I will catch it all up soon. Cheers!

@Stick, cheers mate. CO2 is something I haven’t tried yet. I was thinking of doing a home made one with brewers yeast, sugar, rice and water - but that waaaay too much effort. Hahaha.
What light are you using? Seems like she's growing a little slow(Unless you marked the pictures wrong by using weeks.) Always remember to give the plants a dry period before watering too much. If possible try raising the night temp up to 70-74 since your day temps are 80-82. no intention of insulting only wish to help here =) Took me a few grows til I really got this down.
@BudStinkWeed, hey bro. All sweet mate, it’s all about learning, sharing and inspiring. I’m using Viparspectar 900w full spectrum.
I start the dates from when I first put the seed in the soil, so it took about 7 days for it to pop through and open properly.
I do my autos in my veg tent as a side project so I have a spare bit of weed, so it’s hard to dial it in 100% as I have other plants in there that need less intense light etc. But overall, it’s a fun little journal. I’m doing a full Super Skunk grow at the moment, so I will start populating that journal when I get the chance. Cheers mate!
nice plants man, few things you could do different to get your plants from 50cm to 100cm by just week 5, it just depends on how much effort your willing to put into it
