My 1st FastBuds grow. I made up a lovely batch of living soil and starting a zkittlez auto..it's the last month of winter and the weather is beautiful so I'm taking full advantage of it..Thanks FastBuds I hope I can grow a beautiful lady from you.
And I have kookaburras that take care of the grasshoppers for me and aren't interested in the girls unless something catches their interest..
I'm quite impressed with how strong this zkittlez seedling is, she's only just a baby but the seedling stage sets the path for her life. Strong seedling makes for a strong plant..I always put cages around my girls even with my security guards on duty..I love my kookaburras they keep grasshoppers and any vermin that might like to chew on them at bay..
She's coming along just fine, she's loving the sun and so far not minding the heat either. I top dress with inscect frass and worm castings when I think she needs it. It's weird not giving her the usual nutes..
She's powering along now, surprising me every day with how fast she's growing to the point I'm thinking of sticking to this living soil growing. Really good shite 🤣👍☮️
I'm really impressed with how she's going I wish I could take credit for it but it's the soil and the genetics 💯% she's starting to show her girly bits now and she's just amazing. So the lady is now in bloom and she's having a growth spurt,she's around 30-40cms in height and shooting out her lower branches. She just loves the sun and I can watch her track the sun like a periscope 🤣 lapping up all she can get. I've just been giving her the usual feed and she seems pretty happy with it. Winter is coming to an end so I'm getting excited about starting my photo girls beside the fact we are in for a wetter than usual summer according to the weather dudes..peace love and lotsa buds to you all.
She's done a little bit of growing upwards and now settling in to flower growth, she's not an overly big plant but not the smallest either. She has a little scent to her which is quite fruity.
It's nearly spring time which is photo period time yay BIG girl time..
I was a bit worried about her colour on the lower leaves they were a not as green as I think they should be so up'd her inscect frass and worm castings and it seems to have helped, she's starting to bulk up a bit now and she's getting frosty now and she has a lovely smell to her, very fruity indeed. I think she's got at least another 2 weeks probably more, I'm in no hurry though, I've got good at being patient. It's always the last weeks that give the buds the bulking up..Peace love and lotsa buds guys and dolls.
Well it's been another lovely week here with the weather being just super sunny and the temperature going up by the day. The lady zkittlez is packing on some bulk now, I had to give her a few doses of canna bio flores for a pick me up and she seems to have liked it so I'll keep it up for another week and see how she's going then. She's got a strong aroma to her now but not one I'm overly fussed on, it's a bit too syrupy for my liking but hey I'm not going to complain 🤣☮️ that's just who she is. She has very strong stems to her which I do like being that I don't have to use any supports to hold her up..anyway see you all in a week guys and dolls. Peace love and lotsa buds. I'm starting to see some yellowing of the bigger leaves again and I'm thinking it's coming close to finishing up but I'll give it another week of bio flores and then just water from then to finish. She has a lovely fruity smell to her which has grown on me now, It was a bit too syrupy for me before but that seems to have calmed down a bit..she's not the biggest girl but also not the smallest either. I'm hoping to leave her until she is well and truly mature, I think that's one of the biggest things when it comes to autoflowers, if you harvest them that little bit too early you're losing out on potentcy and mass but not just a little bit but quite a lot in my books, I think you're better off harvesting a bit too late rather than too early. This is just my observations but sometimes we have no choice especially when it comes to things like bud rot or bugs bcoz they can have detrimental effects over night. I'll hang out for as long as mother nature let's me..

Ok so it's been a crazy week. I tend to leave my pots on the lawn overnight but I think it's the cause of some of the leaves getting a bit rotten so now they sleep on the patio at night and that seems to have helped heaps but I did have to cut the 2 lower branches off bcoz they were to close to the soil and made them damp so I didn't want to lose them totally. I also found a males flower in a bud which I picked out asap but I did use it to pollinate an ak48 auto I have in the vege garden so all good. It's worked before. So I'm going to chop her soon I just don't know exactly when yet, I'll leave that up to her but I say another week would be nice but I've got to keep an eye on the weather. She's been fun to grow. So I've just finished up my zkittlez auto and she turned out ok she wasn't as big as I would have thought but overall I'm still happy. I found her to be a finicky girl to grow bcoz she always looked hungry but they say take it easy on the nutes but lessons learnt hey. And right at the end I was getting dew on her in the morning and saw signs of bud rot forming so I took her off the lawn which seemed to work but it was already effecting about 10 leaves so I decided to chop her and be safe than sorry. I lost about 3grms but got about just under an ounce so all good here. The smoke is nice and tropical fruit cake sort of but that underlying gas taste which I don't fancy but still a nice smoke. It gives you a shot of energy and then everything just stops in time and you drift of into lala land..it's more on the indica side of chills. Peace love and lotsa buds.
If you like a indica type smoke then this one is a good one. I do think it could handle extra nutes but with care. She was an easy lady to grow but just keep an eye on your humidity levels late in flower she doesn't like it she might be prone to a bit of bud rot but it's slow at getting a hold unlike some varieties when you blink and look again it's covered with rot. A tastes like a tropical fruit cake when smoked but definitely an evening or do nothing day smoke..Thanks FastBuds
@@BSG420, yeah I'm stoked with how she's going. I ordered Mex Airlines,Cal snow,Blue dream and got a couple of zkittlez as freebies so running a zkittlez 1st and now can't wait to do the others now 😜☮️
Just a personal update, she's been dried and cured now for about 2 weeks and she's actually better now after a good cure..like fine wine 🤣some strains are like that they get better with age.
Ok so right after saying I'd try and hold out for as long as possible unless something forced my hand..well guess what ? I've just been checking.my lady like 30 times a day and I've noticed some what I would call bud rot well mot actually bud rot but some leaves close to the buds have a sort of dying look about them but with some showing signs of being soft a wet so to me that's a form of rot which may be caused by the high temps during the day and cool temps in the morning and leaving some dew on them for a bit to long. So I'm going to keep a really close eye on this lady bcoz she's really quite the looker..I've cut out a few of those leaves which I'll post pica of in my next weekly update for future resources and it might help someone else.
When you noticed the mould coming, did you do a peroxide/water Bud wash? If not there’s a chance it can still spread mould pores around during the cure, go over them real thorough brother! Glad you noticed it early though, spreads rapid! 🙏🏻
@Se7en616, no I didn't do a wash as I was able to get as much as the bad stuff off ,it really only affected the first leaves under a couple of buds and I was really lucky that it was caused by morning dew and not heavy rain or for sure I would have lost the lot..but thanks for your concern.
@Shooey, thanks mate yeah an ounce is OK but you know how it is we always want bigger. I tend to expect around 1.5 oz is a nice plant..and your not wrong about hit and miss but I will say I'm having awesome growth on fastbuds mex airline and blue dream, I've got both going now and they're are much bigger than the zkittlez but that's sativas for ya..have a good one mate. I had to give her the chop yesterday afternoon as we had a bit of rain forecast so played it safe seeing as she was already not liking being wet from humidity. I'll update my diary soon with a harvest report.
@FastBuds I've checked out pretty much every grow of outdoor FastBuds and you've chimed in on but not mine I feel a bit sad about that..☮️ Namaste to you though.
Ok so I figured out how to stop getting dew on my plants in the morning, I need to move them off the grass and onto the patio concrete, it makes sense now but I had to chop off the 2 lower branches being that they were too close to the soil and were pulling moisture from it in the morning. High temps and high humidity is such a balancing act..future reference.
