Was very drawn to this strain and couldn't find a seed bank state side that had it until recently. This particular strain I'm growing as my new year smoke when the ball drops here in nyc. Im moving to more stable genetics now as far as breeding goes and Humboldt strains are progressed to F4+ and Bx3+, wished other breeders cared as much to further breed their strains rather than pollen chucking and having 6 different F1 phenotypes.
Had a heating issue where I forgot to put the AC on in the bedroom where the tent is and the inside tent temp when I got home from work was 105 degrees. The leaves were wilted badly and soft, I kept the humidity low and lowered the light power down for a few days before I decided to bring it out on the roof for some fresh air. Its looking good again and I removed some of the affected leaf parts and not the entire thing. I didn't feel comfortable transplanting it yet so I will keep it in this pot for another week and then move it.
UPDATE 8/23/22:
this plant has not recovered from the heating situation in the tent which was totally my wrongdoing. At this point its so stressed that its burning now from the medium as I haven't fed any nutrients since it entered veg. The others are recovering and are performing as well as they can for this stage and without nutrients, this girl looks like she will take a few weeks to figure life out or she will be stunted. Either way I'm not waiting to find out what will be so I decided to germinate another seed which has already sprouted out the shell as of yesterday, I will switch the diary focus to that particular seedling now so I can have something proper to smoke for midnight on new year day.
Water and more water, its looking a little better now and the new growth is green. Have a feeling it's stunted so I germinated another that is right next to it because i dont see this plant making a FULL recovery for another week before i can tell if its stunted.
She's made a full recovery and the side branches are starting to finally show. I haven't removed the dead-ish leaves yet as theyre still sorta useful to me right now, shouldnt have any setbacks moving forward
Plant has made a complete 180 and is as healthy as can be and I was able to do some defoliation. These plants are looking a tad small by my standards for this time in Veg so I may keep this one a little longer before flower
Pictured are both PPD, might keep the younger one a little longer but I really want to have this done by thanksgiving so I'll be flipping probably on friday
It took me until week 2-3 of flower to finally get in and clean up the plants and train. Its been a long year and I'm super tired right now but everytime I decide to step back someone sends me new beans. The tallest one is actually the second seed that was popped a week after I thought the original wouldn't do well, they both are pretty slim in the branches but that's due to no training to strengthen up the branches. will be trying out UVB for the first time starting in week 5 or 6.
VERY ICY and stinks of grapes she even has frost on the fan leaves sheesh. She has a 50 day flowering time and she is around day 33, one more week of nutes and then water. She's already putting on a nice light shower in the leaves.
Have been flushing and temperature training for the past 2+ weeks and she's a very deep purple all around with nice hints of grapes. The trichomes the last i check were starting to get milky as this strain only goes 50 day and today is day 55, this plant won't make it past the wknd
Super frosty and oily buds are the end result, cut down the buds on 12/4 and they will dry for as long as it take before during. I will not return with the harvest and smoke report until 1/1/23 as this will be sparked at midnight
Fruity Pebbles is what it gives off in the smoke and exhale along with some gassy grapes. Buds were very colorful purple and pink at the end and were QUALITY. I had it on new year after midnight from a 4 week cure and it buzzed my body in waves, there were purple panties but I was way too high to maneuver them and ended up being cuddled. Humboldt owes me some money if you ask me, this is not a strain recommended to have a productive day its a seriously heavy indica. Going to do her over in the summer in a 20 gallon STAY TUNED
Wish I hadn't neglected the plant earlier I could've gotten a better harvest but the quality of the smoke and the high is top notch, no complaints about the final product and definitely growing her this summer.
