I had started with 5 seeds. 1 never germinated and I killed 1 by damping off. Of the 3 survivors, 2 were males. I culled one and the other has lived the rest of his life indoors for pollen collection.

Initially the plants smelt like a mixture of Vicks Vapo-rub and strong Diesel when rubbing the stem, but now she's in flower all I smell is sweet fruity deliciousness, like a bag of Tropical Skittles.

Grow Questions

Is now too early to pollinate for seed production? I am planning to selectively pollinate a handful of these branches for next year's seeds. I already have the pollen collected, but not sure exactly at which point I should be pollinating.

I think you're in the perfect time frame to pollinate.. you want to make sure the pistils are still white and the plants have been in flower for 2, no more than 3 weeks... It's hard to tell from your diary if they've been in flower longer than this so it's your call - you'll know! This sounds like a great strain and I'd be interested to know what you're crossing it with! Good luck!

Plant is still smelling like delicious skittles, now with a hint of milk breath. My girl says it smells like rotting tangerine, in a good way. My dog loves the taste of its leaves. Thirsty girl, she's drinking a lot these days. Pollinated a single branch on August 13. I had already collected the pollen in a small paper envelope. I brought the plant inside and put a trash bag over the whole thing, except for one exterior branch. Using a small paintbrush, dabbed some pollen on the branches pistils. Once complete, I carefully slid a paper bag over the branch and made a tight seal around the bottom of the branch with some training wire. Then i took the plant outside, removed the trash bag from the rest of the plant and misted all of the other colas with water. After 2 days, i removed the paper bag from the pollinated branch and sprayed the whole plant down with water. You can see in the pictures the pollinated branch is thoroughly pollinated and developing seeds - time will tell how many stray seeds I ended up pollinating throughout the plant but it seems like I did a decent job isolating.
