Good times!
I got these seeds from the recently released Ethos auto multipack. I assume they are fresh seeds. 3 for 3 I planted came up successfully. Wahoo. I'm very excited for these ladies they're supposed to finish in 70 days.
I'm using Fox Farms Happy Frog soil with roots organic elemental added in. I'm planning to use the Earth juice sugar peak line of nutrients but I will be skipping the veg nutes and going straight to the transition nutes in 3 weeks.
Good week of growth. Vigorous little ladies.
I'm very happy with where these are at. The all came out healthy and are looking good.
I'm not giving any food yet just trying small doses of rapid rooter and cal mag plus.
I'm excited for some grandpa's stash auto. Wahoo!!!
Good week of growth.
I went into battle with a common housefly and lost my cool a bit. I wound up damaging the middle plant. It took quite a bit of damage, like 3 lost growth points. Anyway I decided to train it. We'll see how it turns out.
I've decided to give these ladies a round of veg food before the transition food to try and keep the N def in control vs. my potg round ahead of these ladies.
Hopefully I can get this leaf yellowing in control and retain some green.
Good week of growth. These ladies are very energetic, even the one I damaged is growing really healthily.
I decided to give these ladies a bit of a veg boost. I'm hoping this will help them in their pre-flower stretch, to have enough food that they won't turn yellow afterwards. I am also going to use some veg formula added into the following transition and flower formula. Hopefully this way they don't go all yellow/lime green like my P.O.T.G. ahead of these ladies.
Big stretch coming up next before they settle into flower.
Really good week of growth!
Dang these ladies grow really fast.
So far so good.
Super green.
Its been exciting to watch them grow. So far they are not as I expected the way they are flowering so early. I imagined a bigger plant from veg since its a high yield-er. Hopefully I can keep these ladies super happy and watch them really stack up.
Great week of growth!
These ladies are looking great! They've stretched up quite a bit with the newly developed flower sites looking quite frosty. These ladies are taking up all the room under the light. It's getting a little crowded in that side of the closet.
This week I started the flower formula as the main nutrient. I am also using supplemental veg formula of the same line of nutrients, boticare cal-mag Plus, and GH FloraMicro. I am trying to use these nutrients to help prevent problems I've had in previous grows. Also this plant got the roots organic elemental as a soil dry amendment at recommended doses. The plant responded well to the feed.
Very happy with these ladies. I can't wait to watch them fill out now!! wahoo! Go Ethos!
And then there were only 2.
Rough week.
I found my far left plant or #1 chalk full of male flowers. :( I decided to just remove the whole plant instead of trimming affected areas away. It was very aggressively a hermaphrodite. Not sure what I did to this plant that made it so stressed out... Most of my conditions are pretty good except my temps have too high a variance, the change of nutes and there was maybe too much fan blowing on that plant as it kept catching up to the light. I dunno live and learn. Hopefully I caught it in time to avoid seeds. Keeping a close eye on these remaining ladies, watch'n out for nanners.
Otherwise growth is good. the untouched plant is thickening up and its buds are maturing a bit. The one that got the fly swatter is doing well with nice aggressive growth but I'd say it is definitely at least 2 weeks behind the other.
Sorry, busy week, these photos are really from this weekend a bit into the next week but they're all I got.
Pretty much same same for these ladies.
I had noticed some mag def looking leaves on the bottom so I increased my dose of calmag plus. This didn't help the situation and I burnt some leaf action. :(
This next week I am just going to go back to reg schedule. I'm gonna go a round without the calmag+ and see if that helps. The runoff ppms and pH are in a good spot. Going in about 860ppm coming out same. Throughout the week with water feeds the ppms go down to around 400. I don't think I have a toxic buildup.
As you can see the yellow leaves are creeping up on me again. I'm not sure what to do. After this grow I am going to take a little review break of my grows do some online learning and try and fine tune my grow for optimal green colors.
Sorry guys this next week I'll get some good photos with these ladies.
tough times
the additional calmag+ really seems to have burnt the right one and even a bit on the left one.
I paused the feed cycle and ran an extra watering round before feeding again. Once I fed again I ditched the cal-mag+and veg formula and just stuck with the full flower dose I've been using and a shot of micro.
I enjoyed taking some close up shots. I didn't realize the trichomes would be so milky already. They have really big heads to them. I bet this would make great ice-water hash.
The left plant is looking very well developed and I feel it is at the ripening stage as not much is happening. The leaves are yellowing but this are looking so mature I'm not worried.
The right plant, or the one that go swatted, is looking like it has some lockout and shock going on. The buds are maturing and thickening much slower. I really hope it will be able to develop itself some more before finishing. I try to remind myself this one is like 2 or 3 weeks behind from getting the swat early on.
The smells are getting stronger by the week. It's a nice sweet skunk smell.
Good week.
The left plant was yellowing out on sugar leaves in the buds. The first calyx right under the buds were starting to turn. It really hasn't developed any new growth. The trichomes are nice and milky. The ppms are down low enough. I chose to chop instead of letting it decay further.
It was a fun chop. Really sticky stinky flowers. the trichome heads are very solid kinda sandy like. The buds turn out to be pretty good sized trichome covered beauties. I'm excited to try it out. I'll update once I finish the dry and have a little sample.
The fly swatter victim is still running a bit behind with lots of white hairs and growth that hasn't fully developed. I'm planning on just letting it go only another week because the indicator calyx are also starting to turn. Not as happy with this plant. I think the fault of the errors is my own. I've been running high pH and misdiagnosing something then getting burn because it already had enough the ph just wasn't in the zone.
I Grew the AUTO.
I think this is a really solid strain. I had some struggles with bananas but I blame myself for stressing that lady out. The one with no stress did fine, and flowered abundantly. They all were a joy to grow, they were so fast and aggressive. They had a delicious sweet skunk smell to them that in maturation developed a peppery finish. Lessons learned, I am still happy with my experience. I will grow more of these in the future.
I had a very interesting grow with a couple challenges. The plant that took the least stress however finished really fast with excellent flower formation. The end result with that one is nice sized dense trichome covered nugs. The fly swatter victim didn't come out with as dense of nugs, it never had the chance to develope before things went south. It was an overall larger plant with more bud sites just smaller buds unfortunately. The sample buds I've tried are nice, good taste, strong smoke, pleasant high. Even the mini nugs smoke good and hit hard. I can't wait until a month cure to see how these ladies smoke! A 1/4 oz over a 1/4 lb total. That'll keep me smoking :) Even though I found some bananas in the beginning I caught them in time I think because I haven't found any seeds of any size or variation so far.
@ChachoGreenCrown, Always a safe bet on Ethos! Myself my family and friends enjoyed it down to 10grams now. Good thing I just harvested another round! Thanks for you kind words! sorry I missed your comment until now.
@OrganicNature420, thanks 🙏👍 I've really been enjoying the smoke. With sharing and what not I'm already down to a bit over an ounce. And Go Ethos! Their seeds always seem to give me some good smoke even though I'm just learning still. I'm really hoping they do 2 multipass drops this year. I just sent out for their tropical thunder multipack. Can't wait to get my hands on some Mandarin Cookies R3, Fanta Sea RBX and Pineapple Runtz auto when they're released.
Cool to see the auto version! I think you'll be surprised at how much they stretch in the next couple weeks. That's if the ruderalis is mostly bred out of them. Good luck.
@jbirdstheword, Hey thanks I appreciate it. They're stretching a lot. This week I feel like I'm just raising that light every day. Hopefully they don't get as tall as yours, I'd run out of space. How's the smell on yours?
Nice grow buddy. One thing, i dont think the plant was decaying.
The plant was absorbing energy from the sugar leaves and pushing it into the buds. That fade is normal and when that occurs it means that you did a pretty good job buddy. Keep it up 💪
