Starting my first diary here on this site, will bring in my notebook notes and retroactively update the diary, we'll see. Ended week 5 of veg after learning a ton. Have been maintaining a solid 0.9-1.1 kPa range for VPD, still have some spikes with low temps at night and the humidifier running out of water. Journal entries 30-JUL 1250 Removed A/C feeding tube and turned it off. Home is usually at 71-73F. Placed dehumidifier in tent but am NOT running it yet. Waiting for temp/RH to stabilize 1308 Raised humidity slightly, was at 1.2kPa 1324 Looks to be levelling out at 1.0kPa 1630 Lowered lights to about 25" above the tallest stem 31-JUL Raised light to 80% intensity Soil is still a bit moist Kept tweaking humidifier settings 01-AUG 0800 Thorough watering, didn't see flowthrough but the pots were soaked 02-AUG 0930 76.4F, 68.2%, 0.97 Reduced light to 70% 03-AUG 0805 Redid LST 2100 76.2, 64.6%, 1.07 Watered again, to soak the top layer 04-AUG Still tweaking humidity to target 1.0kPa Plants look good, some lightburn from last week present but they seem to be happier 05-AUG Looks like autos are starting to flower! Will feed and water tomorrow Redid some LST but will do more tomorrow

Please look at the leaves shown, orange and dried parts. I asked a similar question earlier but these look more damaged and I'm wondering if it's worsened due to my setup. Wind damage from fans? Water damage from humidifier? Light or heat damage? Managing VPD is tough. Thanks!

I'm going to disagree with my growmie here - simply because phosphorus deficiencies start on the oldest leaves and move upward - and I don't think this is the way it's progressed on your plant? I saw your question a couple of days ago and I honestly did not see anything wrong... but NOW, with THESE photos, I can clearly see that there IS an issue. First, let me tell what it's NOT... it's NOT wind damage or water damage or light or heat damage... but I'm not sure it's got something to do with your nutes, either. I'm wondering if it's some kind of fungus... so I'm going to ask - if you rub those spots, does it smear or come off on your finger? Or is it dry/brittle to the touch? If it smears or comes off on your fingers, it's going to be a fungus... if it's dry or brittle at all, it will indeed be a nute problem and probably a calcium/magnesium deficiency although that would show a yellowing to the leaves as well. A fungus will be the worst diagnosis... it comes from humid conditions and can only be solved by using a fungicide... in the case of SOME fungi, you would probably have to pitch the plant and thoroughly clean the entire tent but you should do research to try to identify exactly WHAT fungus it is..... I literally have no idea. If it is a calcium/magnesium issue, just adding cal/mag to your nute program should help if you're not already supplying it. Good luck... and don't hesitate to come back if you try something and it STILL doesn't work... we're here to try our best to help!
