Planted directly in a 3 gallon pot. Germination was quick at 3 days. Keep in mind this is 3 days until in broke soil. Planted at a depth of somewhere between 1 to 2 times the size of the seed. General gardening method.
Used cheap walmart sold PROMIX premium moisture potting mix. Its sterile with a composition of mostly peat with some coco coir for moisture and dolomite lime for ph and microhorizae .
I added Osmocote Plus to the starting medium but kept it away from the seed. I will add more blended potting mix and osmocote somewhere around week two. Give or take.
Osmocote Plus was mixed about 2 tbsp per 3 gallon container. Plus each container got about 2 tbsp of Dolomite Lime. This was all done before planting. But the middle where the seed was planted plain ProMix
Light at 40%
21 days from sprout. I had been using tap water but began PH water because I was seeing early signs of high PH. Iron lockout.
First big watering.
Watered 1 gal ph 6.25 water with 1ml DynaGro Protekt 0-0-3 Silicon solution.
My tap water is brutal with a ph of 8 and tds around 400 so I should have started ph'd water earlier
I lightly tied the top off to one side.
Day 28 watered at .5 gal ph6.0. Bit of runoff. A little heavy for one go but I'm still correcting for the first two weeks using ph8 tap water. Plus I may have used too much dolomite lime at planting. Only 2 tbsp in 3 gallons of soil but ProMix seems to have already added enough. This cheap soil doesn't list the amount used or the ph achieved
Light at 100% at 24 inches moving down to 18 inches slowly.
Watering 1ml per gal Dyna-Gro 9-3-6 to supplement slow release Osmocote.
Using half tap water and half RO ph'd to anywhere between 5.8 and 6.3
Plants beginning to flower but I'm still tying down branches to stretch it out.
I did some light defoliation this week. Bottom few leaves, a couple leaves that were super blocked from any light, and maybe 2 large leaves that were actually causing blocking. Lots of tucking leaves.
Using Pro-Tekt once a week.
Other plants moved out of this tent this week so we should see better growth.
I'm specifically going for an average DLI above 40 in the upper canopy. PPFD above 500
I've added some mylar taped on poster tubes in the corners for more even lighting.
I'm using:
UNI-T UT383 BT light meter
PPFD METER for android
Very budget solution for pretty accurate ppfd conversion
Osmocote slow release seems to have run out. Added Dyna-Gro Grow 7-9-5 at 2ml per gallon. Going back and forth between than and Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro 9-3-6. Using Pro-Tekt 0-0-3 Silicon once a week.
Watering every day between 500ml and 1000ml
Light is at 100% and 15 inches. Couple hot spots but average dli across canopy is about 45.
This marks 8 weeks since sprout and about 4 weeks of flower
Day 62, just shy of 9 weeks from sprout. Been flowering between 5 and 6 weeks depending on when you like to start counting.
Some color coming through. Even with slightly stronger nutrient solution the lower leaves are going purple/yellow and slowly dropping.
Bud sites are developing some purple, too.
Day 69, about 10 weeks from sprout.
41 or 48 (about 6 or 7 weeks) of flower.
Despite keeping up with fertilizing I'm getting a lot of purple/red and leaf drops.
This might be from too little fertilizer but I think it's mainly from the plant maturing. I know some growers have had their Seedsman NL Auto run longer than advertised, but my plant seems to be on schedule.
They say 55-60 days of flower following 2-4 weeks of veg.
Trichomes on sugar leaves are going amber but most of the trichomes on actual buds are clear
84 days - 12 weeks from breaking soil.
Having to prop up some stems so I know they've put on some weight. Will be harvesting over the next few days.
Trichomes are mostly cloudy with 5-10% amber, and 5-10% clear.
Odor is light. Has that woodsy smell with some notes of pine and various herbs. A bit like fading Old Spice.
Very easy to grow strain. It likes a steady ph and can probably use a boost of nutes after about 4 weeks of flower.
