This is my 1st time trying DWC. I started off with a cut from a plant I received from @cltvrs on Instagram. I dipped it in CloneX rooting gel, and put it in an EzClone machine. I used CloneX rooting nutrients at 4ml for the 2 gal reservoir. This was my first time propagating with this system, and I was impressed with the overall success rate.

I'm trying DWC for the first time with this Gary Payton cut. I'm using a 5 gal @newlevelhydroponics system with @floraflex2 nutrients! I will say I'm very nervous, but excited to try something new. Gary Payton (#Cookies) cut from @cltvrs Lights: #sf4000 @spiderfarmerofficial #Humidity and Temperature control: IHC-200, ITC-308, & IBS-YH2 @inkbird_us Backpack sprayer & Crop Defender: @petratools Discount code: drboom Hyshield and Hygrozyme by @hygrozyme Fans: @acinfinityinc DWC equipment: @newlevelhydroponics Nutrients: @floraflex2 Being my first try at DWC, I'm not surprised I'm havIng PH issues. To solve this, I'm setting up a reservoir to let the nutrients and ph settle 2 days before water change. Lights are at 50% at 30 inches for the first week. I'm seeing a little clawing, but that nay be a little shock from going in the DWC. I'll keep an eye on her. The next day. I saw some browning in a leaf. I saw the roots weren't hitting the water yet, so I put in a little water to make sure the bottom of the cup was getting wet and pinched the damaged leaf off.

Just getting back to you here as I said I would... my friend is stumped... suggested mosaic virus which, after discussion, we BOTH ruled out... all he can think of is that you may have splashed something on the leaves ... He also said your pH is just fine ... and that if it was HIS grow, he'd snip the leaf off and forget about it. But good luck!

I increased the light to 80% at 30 inches and changed water on the 8th day. On day 9, I put in a LST clip to keep her from stretching too fast. I'm seeing a little nutrient deficiency on day 11. I'll watch and try to adjust. I'm seeing a lot of growth this week. She responded well to the two LST clips. I'm changing the nutrients next week to include CalMag. Hopefully things will go well.

This was an interesting week for me. I found that I had to keep checking the PH everyday to ensure I kept it in the 5.7 - 6.0 range. That said, only minor adjustments were needed the entire week. I did have to top off the pot twice to keep the water level high. I used a 2g/gal each V1 and V2 as the top off nutrients, and that seemed to work well. All in all, it was a fairly maintenance free week as far as the nutrients were concerned. I put in a few more LST clips to open up the canopy a bit. Additionally, I removed a leaf or two that were blocking growth sites, but not enough to consider true defoliation. Other that that, I just let her grow. I plan to just top off the bucket this week and give her a full change at the end of the week. I'm, having fun with DWC so far.

Let me start by saying that I'm having fun with DWC. I fee like I'm learning everyday. That said, I do think I'm messing with my ph a bit too much. It seems to be fluctuating between 5.5ph and 6.0. I am making daily adjustments, and I think that may be too much. Next week, I think i will just check the ph every other day. Other than that, things went well this week. I did a little light defoliation to open up the top to get some light in the middle of the plant. She responded well and bounced right back the next day. The growth is amazing in DWC. I didn't do a full water change this week, as I plan to do that every other week. I have been adding nutrient solution daily to keep her at a good fluid level. I will flip at the end of the week. I don't want her to get too big because I have 5 plants in the tent, and I don't want to be too crowded.

I flipped to 12/12 in an attempt to keep the size down, but that was an epic fail. I can't believe the stretch during the 1st week since the flip! They shot right up! I sprayed her with FloraFlex Bloom foliar spray. Quite honestly, I'm not sure if it makes that much of a difference, but I have it so I might as well use it. She is drinking quite a bit more this week. I'm adding about 1L of nutrient solution daily to keep her at the full mark. I cut back to phing the buckets every other day, and only small adjustments have been necessary. The ph is staying pretty much between 5.7 and 6.0. I did a bit more defoliation at the beginning of the week, and she bounced back like a champ! So far so good!

The stretch this week was impressive! I continued to top off the nutrient solution daily; adding about 2L per day to the bucket. This tent is getting crowded, and I now know that 5 plants is too many in a 5 DWC set up. From now on, I think I will keep it at 4 plants or less. I started seeing signs of bloom towards the end of the week, and I'm not noticing any defiencies.

This was a water change week, so I drained the bucket and replaced it with new nutrient solution. The stretch continued, and I was forced to do some super-cropping in an attempt to keep her out of the lights. I am still a little close, but I think she'll be ok. I also did some defoliation in order to keep the humidity down. That has been a fight. I put two small dehumidifiers in the tent, and have it unzipped at the top on three sides. That seems to be helping. All in all, it's been a fun week.

She's looking good. The stretch stopped, but I still had to perform a bit more super-cropping to keep her out of the lights. I tried to thin her out a bit with some more defoliation, but that seems to be a lost battle. The humidity is still a bit higher than I would like, but I think I can keep it in an acceptable range. I'm making sure to have a lot of air flow from the fans to, hopefully, prevent any problems. She's drinking about 2 liters a day, and I am replacing with the same strength nutrient solution. I'm not seeing any problems and she looks healthy. This tent is full, but I'm having fun!

This week proved to be a bit stressful. I have commented on the amazing stretch this girl put in, and my attempts to keep her below the light. Sadly, I wasn't successful and notice some light burn on a few leaves and bleaching of some of the upper buds. I strapped the light to the very top of the tent, so there is not much else I can do. Lesson learned. Even though I am seeing some bleaching of the upper buds, the plant as a whole looks healthy and should be a good producer. I topped off the nutrient solution daily, and adjusted the minor ph fluctuation every other day. Generally, I noticed I was running between 5.8 and 5.5 and would have to only use a small amount of ph up to adjust the solution. The night time temperature in my area has dropped to around 30f, so my nighttime tent temps are following suit, but still well within acceptable parameters. I will say that 5 plants in a 4.4 is too many for a DWC grow. In fact, I'm not sure I would want to grow more than 2 plants in DWC in the future. Time will tell.

This was mainly a maintenance week. Honestly, this stretch is causing me a lot of trouble. The humidity is high and I'm having problems with defoliation. As I have said, 5 is too many DWC plants for a 4x4.

Welcome to the Jungle. There is not a lot to report. With all the growth, I am finding it difficult to ensure adequate light coverage. I'm afraid these buds aren't going to be very dense.

I cut off the nutrients. I'm just using RO water and root Drip to eliminate salt build up. The buds aren't dense, but they are big and the smell us intoxicating.

I thought she was nearing Harvest when I stopped using nutrients, but I may have been mistaken. She isn't ripening like I expected. I'm tempted to resume nutrients.

I'm finally seeing some amber tricomes. I can't help but wonder how she would loom if I kept her on nutrients longer. That said, she's still going to give a good yield.

This girl took much longer to ripen than I expected. She went 11 weeks, and I was expecting her to go 9 or 10. Not a big deal, but this caught me off guard. She was a big stretcher, which caused me problems in an overcrowded tent. I can't blame this on the plant. It was my inexperience with DWC that, I believe, caused most of my problems. I would advise new DWC growers to start small. From now on, I'm only growing two plants at most in DWC when using a 4x4 tent. I dried her in an Herbs Now dryer, and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Even my weed snob friends liked the result. She dried in 3 days, and produced a smooth, flavorful, smoke after a two week cure. I'll have to do a side by side comparison with hang drying next grow.
