Alchemy_Aotearoa This clone is two weeks old from taking out of the small hydro-propagation unit. I took a three inch clone straight off the top of it, as you can see by fat main stem. Which left these three rather well positioned laterals for me to work with over the next 4-5 week period in which I intend to LST, prune out (and take a few cuttings in the process to keep her going) and train into a reasonable canopy before turning her. All my veg is kept on circadian rhythm until flowering. I trust you will enjoy following this Kiwi organic soil grow of a world class favourite and I hope I do the strain justice. Sticky Buds!

Alchemy_Aotearoa Isn't she nice? A real cute...although can tell she is sensitive and im very happy I chose to go lightly on Fert when i made the soil premix for planting her into. That was a good decision..I get the feeling had I gone for the amount I had used on the Gorilla Glue #4 of the same age (you can check that diary on my page to compare) this sweet strawberry wonder would be in a world of pain. So far I agree with the professionals...this plant has a medium grow difficulty.

Alchemy_Aotearoa A very cold and damp week saw what would have been great growth become cold damaged and stunted somewhat, as has happened in my whole indoor garden of late( next year I will have heating installed in the room) but it looks like everything is on the up and up now...so its the perfect time to tie it down lol. The usual steps you will see myself and others repeat over and over again...why? Because it works. Sticky Buds Everyone!

Alchemy_Aotearoa Another savage week of bitter temperatures even with ambient indoor heating. I think she is ok going into week 5 of vegetation. A slow but steady start...as you can see even the day time temperatures are not particularly friendly. But I shall persevere just as she is..by resisting the urge to fertilise and just letting her be her for a bit. Next week I will put her into flowering and give her her first real fertiliser. Stay tuned for that fun! Sticky buds everyone!

Alchemy_Aotearoa Cold snap two weeks ago REALLY stunted her and her sisters...she will never recover to be what she could have been I just hope to get some smoke from her.

@TeamQuality420, Thanks so much...she hasn't had a great start due to the cold temperatures we have been having but it should start to pick up soon..stay tuned for the next update.

@@Alchemy_Aotearoa, I was thinking it may have been the ammount of nutrients in the soil , sometimes is too much for a small plant , that being said I don't nor have ever used living soil BUT I respect the growers who use living soil as many people comment saying it is how you get "the best weed" Also for sure the cold can do that 100% I'm sure you know what your doing . All positive no hate , let me know what your opinion is , always good for me to learn a few things about living soil when I can !!! I'll check in as the grow goes !!

@TeamQuality420, We have had consistently sub 10 degree Celsius nights and as I haven't installed any heating (I will next year) in this new set up im paying dearly for it. I keep saying it but the weather WILL get warmer by the end of the month but right now waiting is like pulling teeth with rusty pliers! If you check in with my earlier weeks for her you will see I have gone very easy on the nutes from the outset. She just felt sensitive from the start..im glad I didn't add nutes because she would be parked by now. She will recover minus 6 degree Celsius nights are brutal and im surprised she has come this far actually! Thanks again for stopping in I appreciate your input!

@@Alchemy_Aotearoa, I know how that goes!!! We are spouse to get snow next week !!! If you don't have it already off the floor, what we did is bought largw heating pads , ----- https://a.co/d/5D1kwyp Plus controller https://a.co/d/9x2ibuG with the probe in the soil to make sure the root zone stays atleast above 18°c it helps ALOT . Let me know what you think!!! That you for respecting my opinion, also acknowledged that I'm not trying to pin you down ! Just share what helped me and hopefully it helps you !!

@TeamQuality420, Ive actually got it inside where we have heating for now so that has prevented her from dying completely...Im about to update her so you can see where she is after another week of hellish temps.

@@Alchemy_Aotearoa, I will do that for sure !!! I know that during the months of -40 weather that saved us , and after we cracked that wide open , that's when it was absolutely unbelievable. So if things go down hill , hit me up !!! Because I know you can have the canopy temp at well 20-35°c but if the substrate is below 18° she is gon' be a cranky bee 🐝!!! Great chatting with you growmie!!!

@TeamQuality420, Yep substrate temperature. I been growing 30 years and all it has taught me is how to be lazy. Next year I will use extra heating...but for now I'm going to just ride it out! I'm not going for the largest yields..just the sweetest medicating smoke! So I'm not thrashing my girls like thoroughbred horses in a race. Every season has it's ups and downs and as this is a completely new set up I'm not beating myself up. I know I need heating next year...as stated across my diaries...but for now I'm content to coax these babies through this tough patch.. last night was the first night us humans didn't need heating so the weather is improving. Meaning all cold related issues go out the door. One thing I keep the temp correct with year rould is my Hydro-prop cloning set up..that is at 22 degrees Celsius constantly..so I get the importance of heating...like I say I'm just lazy. New Strawberry Cough week added so you can see how she is doing now. Sticky Buds Growmie!
