Probably 25 galon per 3 days is a typo. But still, you have big enough pots to not water for longer. Especially in early veg.
Personally i like to dry out the medium to a point the plant stops praying when the lights are on.
They should really get thirsty after the first 2 weeks, wait for them to tell you, watch them screaming for a drink.
That way your roots will grow much larger and fully colonize the pot.
Even outdoors I can see the results.
I think they should even add root training to grow techniques here.
Watering is the most difficult aspect to master
Roots actually rise up above soil around the base of my outdoor grow since it started raining.
@GuerillaGorilla, your outdoor grow looks tempting. I might try that next season.
It was actupo . I meant 1/4 gallon. Soil is dryer now after I started to water every 3 days but my super orange haze is stunted and no growth and color doesn't look good
Super Orange might be N toxicity. I’m dealing with it on my Mango Smile with the LOS 3.0. Random leaves are clawed down and eventually turn yellow/brown and fall off.
@Desert_Farmer, from my experience everyone says a flush will work but that will flush out all the microbes and other nutrients as well. I’ve been watering a little more and more often and it seems to have helped my girls. I don’t have any new leaves showing the claw but you’re right, the damage is already done. I’m hoping this run will take most of the N out for my next cycle.
@Happydays58,
do you know how to balance it out? Should I remove the cover crop.
Also I know the damage done won't be reversed. How can I fix it in next run.?
@Desert_Farmer, I did! The first couple weeks I dealt with a slight light burn, and the SOH was the slowest to recover. She's all back to normal now, but I did have to give her a little more nitrogen. After I added a little scoop of earthworm castings to the base of her stalk she was much happier. I'm still getting a lot of leaf curling, which is confusing now that I have them on a regular watering schedule. She's the only one still lagging behind. I'll get some good pictures of mine this week in my update.
@CrystalMeph, Its first week of flowering and i can till its growing but in much slower rate than the rest. check the new week and let me know. Also did you had any issues with leaves discoloration, curling or deficiency!? Thank you
@Desert_Farmer, I’m no pro by far but I’ve heard it gets better with time. My previous two grows were in 5 Gal pots and I used 1/3 coco, 1/3 castings, and down to earth nutrients. Didn’t have enough life in the 5gal pots to last past 8 weeks. Hoping the 12Gal pots run for at least 2 years.
@Happydays58,
I added thr Kashi, craft blend, seeded for clover I will mulch soon. Still didn't decide if straws or rice hulls.
I will get deeper into ur diaries. I see that's ur 3rd one.
How did u amend the soil and did u let it rest between ur grows to build nuts? Does it really get better the older it gets?
@GuerillaGorilla,First time to do it myself.
Its different types of clover. they are used a cover crop for the soil to keep it moist and also add nitrogen to the soil. Thank you for passing by
Looking very healthy although they seem to be stretching a bit,
You could consider lowering your growlight 😉
But it looks to me you know what you are doing.
I'm looking forward to see more
Good luck!!
