Had a real nightmare germinating, was given some older seeds, 2/8 gelatos took, so now have 2 gelato, 1 critical mass, 1 Kush, 2 Alien Kush, so will be a pick n mix when we come to harvest. As you can see they all germinated over different times, over the last 10 days, but we got there. I'm hoping they'll catch up with each other. I've prepped fabric pots and they're also good to go, did a mix of potting soil, general compost, perlite and worm castings. I have a packet of mycorrhizal, for the transplant in a few weeks Will start dosing a small amount of biobizz grow as of next week, too soon? I'm running a heat pad during the evening to keep the temp up in the tent/soil while the lights are off. Lights seem to be doing ok, I bout a pair of phlizon 2000 cob lights (I know it's not really 2000w) but running the seedlings under one light for now, around 25-30cm above them. So far so good. They're also keeping the tent toasty. Looking forward to firing them both up properly though. I did have them abit higher, but I think they're stretching too much, one was trying to fold on itself, so propped him up. Is there anything else I'm missing at this stage? Watering wise, I'm misting them twice a day (morning an night) with ph balanced water, I play music to them too (❤️) do you think naming them is to far? 🤣 Anyway, good to get going proper. 1 week down, forever to go. Until next week

Been a crazy couple of weeks, so haven't been on the ball with updates. First week of feeding this week, gone with biobizz, my plants started to look a little sad, especially my gelato. So decided to transplant early into the final container (20l fabric pot) most of the plants where root bound, just a solid mass of roots, so transplanted, added some root food, gently loosened the roots up and transplanted. I've also notched my lights up, so the cobs are now working, so basically full power, have left a 2 foot gap to see how the pla ts get on, will move the lights down if it's needed. (Running 2 x Phlizion 2000w cob, I know they're not 2000w actual wattage) Be nice to not have to water 7 million times a day 😅 Have ordered some biobizz fish food and biobizz algi-mic to add to the feeding schedule, unsure if I should stagger some of the nutes, or do it all in one hit. Also biobizz said the algi mic can be used as a leaf coat? Anyone have any experience with this? Anyway, happy growing guys and gals

Full nutes for the first time this week, seem to be growing slow and steady, have dropped the lights by 8 inches, leaves seem to be curling towards the lights, may need to readjust and move the plants around, as the ligh spread isn't great that low down. Autos have officially come out the seedling stage, so fed them also, had a few yellowing leaves underneath all the plants, which I've removed. The cobs on the led light seem to be keeping the tent toastie, so no issue with cold weather. Another week done 👍

Different for everyone. At 4 weeks mine are close to going into flower. All depends how much room you have for the plants to stretch.

How much do you water? And how do you know that its enough? Do you wait until you see run off?

I see you grow in soil with BioBizz, so you don't have to do run off every time to avoid salt buildup. I usually water a bit lighter in the beginning, at that size I would probably give a liter every 2-3 days (when top 5cm of soil is dry). Once they're larger/ in flower, I simply water to slight run off, so usually around 10% of soil volume - for example for 15L pot 1,5L. I also grow in soil with BioBizz so you can have a look at some of my diaries for more precise reference, some have dates/amounts in the weekly notes.

Done another feed this week, upped the nitrogen heavy nutes, seemed to have responded well to them. Think I'm getting a cal/mag deficiency on some of my ladies, slight rust spots appearing on some of the leaves, so will start dosing cal/mag as soon as it arrives. Attempted some very light lst, to try get the other colas moving.. fabric pots are great for aeration, but shite for ziptying off of! Will do abit more in the next day or so as the main colas are back upright again. Have been slowly lifting my lights, trying to get a gentle stretch out of my ladies, some of them are just growing wide rather than up. You think I should keep lifting until they start moving vertically? Planning to switch to bloom at the end of the month, that's 7/8 weeks vegging, so I'm hoping that's long enough to get a decent yield. My two cash crop autos are growing, albeit very slowly, thought they would of exploded by now, as far as research suggests, cash crop are generally quite a lanky plant, but again, you can see in the pics they're 10-15cm tall, look healthy enough, just very little growth. Anyway, that's another week added! Happy growing kids!

Defoliating plants? When do you guys generally start stripping back leaves? And are they worth keeping at vegging stage? Just for context, very light LST, so no lollipoping etc. Cheers

I usually do it twice during a grow. Once just before flipping the plants, this is mostly to improve airflow in my tent because I trim lower branches as well. I then do a second round about 3 weeks into flowering, this time to ensure the growing tips where the heads are forming are exposed to light. As for your question, its stressful for the plants, so you should only do it when there is a reason for it, the only benefit to doing in the veg stage is to improve the airflow.

Another week of vegging, gonna keep vegging until the end of the month, then I'll flip the light schedule. Autos seem to be coming into flower, quite small though, maybe 25-30cm tall. Just done another feed, added in some cal mag, don't have a ppm meter so, it's just guess work and don't want to over do it, so will keep an eye on them, rust spots don't seem to be increasing, so that's positive. Really notching it up on nutes, hopefully I don't over do it. The ladies seemed to love their last feed, see how this week goes I suppose. Done abit more LST also, just bending the main colas back into the fold of the plant and turning it so the other bud sites get plenty of light. Have lifted my lights a good bit, maybe a foot, just to get the girls stretching abit these next two weeks, as they where just growing sideways, and already starting to fill the tent sideways, plenty of space above though, so fingers crossed they start to shoot up towards the lights. That's about it really, everything is all good this week, no issues. Really looking forward to getting them into flower though, hopefully flowering goes as smoothly as vegging. See you all next week Peace

Abit late for this weeks entry, I decided to put my ladies into flower, thought they had grown enough, and was worried if I left them any longer, I'd run out of vertical space. I did a quick defoliating just before switching them last Thursday, im glad I did, because there's so much more foliage now then there was before, will leave them for a couple more weeks and do another de-leaf. I cant get over how quickly they've grown since the switch of lighting! My cash crop autos are well into flower now. Everything seems healthy and happy, not to many issues this last week, just need more width on my tent, plants seem to be pushing up against the sides Have upped some of the feeds, as I read feeding should be done twice a week? Once seems to be suiting my girls fine, so will stick with that. Anyway that's it for this week, see you all next week Peace

My last week was a little late, this is week 8, and week 2 of flowering. Bud sites are starting to form nicely, my ladies are still stretching, especially the gelato! Must be over a meter tall now! Did another feed today, again only feeding once a week, nutes have plateu'd now, everything still looks lush an green. Think the only problem I have at the minute is getting to the plants at the back of the tent, which are still really bushy, departing on putting something underneath some plants, to stagger them better, as alot of the foliage is now starting to cover other plants and/or business, will give it another week and do another de leaf, I'll just take the ones that are shading the bud sites. Starting to get the classic greenery aroma when I'm in amongst the plants, smells B E A UTIFUL. So another week done, lots more height on the sativas, bud sites are forming nicely. Thanks for reading Peace

Week 9, and week 3 for flowering. All of my plants have now got fully formed business, my cash crop autos - one seems to be a week behind the other, but getting some frosting on one of them, I think another 3 weeks, it should be good to flush and chop. I defoliated lightly this last week, just the bigger leaves that are covering bud sites. My gelatos will not stop growing upwards, ive had to move them out of direct light as their very nearly touching the light, an being im running cobs, im worried they'll burn. So have done another feed, upped the fish mix, bloom and the cal mag, and a light defoliation, which seems to have unaffected the plants tbh, I thought they would look abit sad for a day or two, but perked straight up when the lights came on. My Alien kush plants are short and very bushy, so have placed them under a tall plant pot, just to lift them into the canopy and are able to get some light, ill have another shuffle around the next time I feed them. Absolute ball ache getting to the back of the tent to water, so when it comes to feeding I pulled them out individually from the tent fed them and put them all back in. Quite hesitant to do it to the frosty plant, don't wanna knock any trichomes off, so will probably leave that one in situ. That's about it for this week Thanks for reading Peace

So week 10, and week 4 for flowering All looking great, its packed tight in my tent though, watering has become a pain. One of my gelatos is maybe a 10cm from my light, seems to be still going vertical slightly, I literally cannot raise my lights any higher. Cash crops are starting to dust up, and smelling beautiful, still think they're a few weeks off yet though, some yellowing leaves on the bottom of them, so had a quick tidy up. Buds are formed and starting to swell slightly on the other plants. I've maxed my nutes, I figured they're getting ready to start swelling the flowers, so they'll need all the nutes they can get. Still only feeding once a week too. I think the only problem I'm having is the plants being pushed up against the tent wall, im having to rotate all the plants into different spots, as the walls get quite moist after a water, im worried they'll start to get mould on them. That's about it for this week, another week done and.another week closer to harvest. Thanks for stopping by Peace

Week 11 and the 5th week of flowering. Had a few issues this week, one of my gelato has now grown past the light, I cant lift the lights anymore without being detrimental to the other plants, anyone have any ideas how I can get light to it?? One of my cashcrop autos, seems to be really suffering when the lights are off, I honestly thought it was dying yesterday. Seems to of perked up this morning though, my other cash crop isn't far off being ready, so have started the flush on that. Hopefully this time next week I can give her the chop. I've now come to the realisation that all of the plants are at different stages, so will unable to dry in the tent, so have purchased a shorter tent to go into the loft with another filter and small fan. Anyone else dry in their loft? I think the others are easily 2-3 weeks before I even consider flushing them. Also I grew my plants in seed pairs. 2 x gelato 2x og kush 2x cash crop autos and 2 x alien kush, one of the plants is completely different to all of the plants in the tent. It's literally like a bush, lovely lush foliage, but probably one of the ones most furthest away from harvest. Next feed is tomorrow, seem to managing the feed a week great, just want abit more swelling on those buds really, I've ordered a magnifying glass, just so I can keep an eye on the terp colours, bar that another success week. That's all for this week Thanks for reading Peace
