Everyone came up, 100% germination rate. I was happy as a clam. Sorry guys I’m a couple weeks behind on this diary as I started these seeds during the harvest phase of my previous Fast Buds run. Let’s get caught up to speed as we turn the page!
I was happy with the growth through week one but suffered many casualties due to cats breaking into my grow room and eating the seedlings. The best thing about diaries is honesty and to be honest we are down to the last four seedlings. There is no more cherry cola in this run. 1 BPP, 2 GP, 1 SG. If this was a 4x4 that would probably be the right ratio but was hoping to accomplish more in this run. Got new 3 gallon pots and now have them under advanced security protocol.
This week flew by and they all grew a lot. I got them all topped at the 5th node once they were big enough to do so although each plant was ready on a different day. Started beefing them up with nutrients early and have been giving them plenty of water trying to mimic hydro as much as possible. Sad there’s no Cherry Cola left in this run but we’re looking good and looking forward to next years runs as well! Stay tuned, plants are taking off 🚀
They took off and bushed out after topping and I defoliated in areas where leaves blocked lower branches from shooting upwards. Happy with the growth and looking forward to flowering time. Started them on their heavy nutrient regimen using up the last of my terpinator, switching to purpinator for the end of the run 😎 Bud Candy, Big Bud and Overdrive will be added into the mix as well soon. Might use rubber bands to tie these branches down but maybe next week that’ll be a lot easier. Thanks to fast buds for the opportunity to test out these amazing new strains! They’re bushing out! I spent a lot of time defoliating them to open the bud sites to air flow and light penetration. Got them started on the heavy nutrients and will be adding overdrive in a few weeks to the mix. Need to Recharge soon for sure but looking nice so far. Got ladybugs to help with these damn clear aphids. Aside from that the ladies are showing great pest resistance and I’m just praying for a better harvest than last time because all the smoke was great. Stay tuned, flowering week is upon us! Overall it was a great week although I miss Cherry Cola 😢 I’m a little late on this entry and a lot has changed since I took these photos (updates coming!). Right after I took the pictures I defoliated heavy to deal with the aphid menace. The ladybugs have reproduced and their larvae are helping clean up the spots that I can’t. Really happy with the decision to top all of the plants and defoliate as it has helped them to take off. Structurally they all look very nice and even the little Gorilla Punch is bigger than I thought it would get. Both of the smaller plants are still a day or two off from flowering but the big Gorilla Punch must be on day 7 or 8 by now at least. Can’t wait to harvest and looking forward to testing out more future fast buds in 2023 and beyond 🚀

I’m a week behind but can’t wait to get back on track. We’re in the period before the Buds start to fill out so everything is at its least exciting point as far as early flower goes. The pictures I took for this post were from a gorgeous day where I got them all outside, defoliated, rubber banded and flushed with recharge. In hindsight I’m super happy with the decision because a whole 4x4 area is now filling nicely with Buds spread out on long arms. Stay tuned, I as usual cannot wait to finish with these plants. Overdrive has been added to the mix and carboload has been in the mix I just forgot to update.
Just trying to get caught up. Some of the plants are almost done. The plant that started out as the smallest has grown to be one of the biggest now. I scorched a few of them with end of flowering nutrients from my other grow room and am just hoping to get a few good nugs out of this run at this point. If all had gone well it would have been about a pound of flower nearly I’m guessing off of the four that made it.
The pests were on me hard and there isn’t much salvageable from this grow sadly. Aphids and powdery began to do me in, ladybugs couldn’t keep up past a certain point. You live and you learn. I hope fast buds will give me another chance to pull off a big win, it’s okay to lose sometimes.
