Hello people! After one month break I’m starting new diary with Sweet Skunk Auto. Also Green Gelato Auto is coming soon. Probably I will leave one plant inside the box if they grow big. Let’s see what it’s gonna be. Lots of improvements since last time: Starting the cycle with airco Automatic control for incubator Heater with 120 mm radiator New 100 mm duct fan 240 m3/h Day 3: T 29, RH 65%, 160 PPFD. There was a nightmare outside! 33 deg and 90% RH. My portable AC could barely keep 29 deg in the box. Also, it was shutting down every 5 minutes because of the heat. The problem has gone as soon as I sent some cold air to the hot radiator with another duct pipe. Day 6: T 22, RH 60%, 160 PPFD. Two young girls grow really fast. Green Gelato Auto didn't germinate. Quite sad. Gonna try another seed soon. Day 7: T 23, RH 65%, 160 PPFD. I'm happy with the climate. Trying a new seed from RQS: Royal AK Auto. Put it into peat plug.

Day 8: T 23, RH 65%, 130 PPFD, 9.4 DLI. Transplanted the seedlings into airpots, used 10 L soil per plant. Watered each with 2,5 L, pH 6.3, 150 ppm. Day 9: T 24, RH 60%, 130 PPFD, 9.4 DLI. Noticed weird marks on leaves, grow question resolved. Seems there’s nothing to worry about. Day 10: T 25, RH 65%, 130 PPFD, 9.4 DLI. Bought a new grow tent. 100x100x200 cm. Hope it will be enough for three plants. Temperature is raising slowly, it’s fine, 25 degrees. Humidity 60-70%. Day 11: T 26, RH 60%, 160 PPFD, 11.5 DLI. Day 12: T 26, RH 65%, 160 PPFD, 11.5 DLI. Watered 1,25L per plant, pH 6.3, 115 ppm. Time to think about feeding. Will repeat the recipe from EasyBud diary. Day 13: T 24, RH 65%, 230 PPFD, 16.5 DLI. First side branches appear. Day 14: T 24, RH 60%, 230 PPFD, 16.5 DLI.

Spots and traces on leaves like from insects. Checked with microscope, no larvae or nymphs visible, even on the underside of the leaves. Could this be non-insects related issue?

I think the jury is out... could just be the wonkiness of first leaves which can show weird markings, weird shapes, weird colors... I don't think I'm seeing anything on the newer leaves so I'd just wait it out - BUT if you want to be prepared for anything in the thrips/spidermites/aphids/whiteflies category (always good to do), you can get some Spinosad or Dr. Zymes Eliminator for leaf sucking insects and some BT for leaf chewing/eating bugs... All are organic so use without worry. Good luck!

Day 15: 300 PPFD. Day 16: 300 PPFD, 21.6 DLI. Day 17: 380 PPFD, 27.4 DLI. Watered about 2,5 L per plant. pH 6.3, 550 ppm. Recipe in Nutrients section ☝️ The bigger one had runoff 500 ml, the smaller one about 100 ml (I ran out of solution and water, so gave her less). pH 5.8, 800 ppm - bigger plant, pH 5.3, 1000 ppm - smaller plant. No need to feed them next watering. Also, I don’t think they need extra CalMag. I will apply only spring water which has natural pH 6.7 to correct low pH in runoff. Day 18: 450 PPFD, 32.4 DLI. Forgot to measure the light:) Day 19: 350 PPFD, 25.2 DLI. Reduced the light a little bit, although there’s no signs of light stress. Day 20: 400 PPFD, 28.8 DLI. Tomorrow I will add 50 PPFD to make 31 DLI, which is perfect for week 4. Day 21: 450 PPFD, 32.4 DLI.

Day 29: 550 PPFD, 39.6 DLI. Day 30: 550 PPFD, 39.6 DLI. Day 31: 550 PPFD, 39.6 DLI. Installed dripping system, need to improvise to make soil evenly moist. Watering manually, 100 ml/min. It takes about 25 minutes to irrigate one single plant. Changing recipe for flowering. Watered 3L, pH 6.5, 533 ppm. Runoff 250 ml, pH 5.8, 430 ppm. Put the second plant 5 cm lower, it looks like she’s having light stress. Now she is receiving 440 PPFD, 32 DLI. Day 32: 550 PPFD, 39.6 DLI. Day 33: 550 PPFD, 39.6 DLI. Day 34: 570 PPFD. 40.5 DLI. Watered 3.5 L, pH 6.6, 130 ppm. Runoff 250 ml, pH 5.8, 430 ppm.

Day 36: 580 PPFD, 41.8 DLI. Defoliated a little bit, also trimmed few branches. Day 37: 580 PPFD, 41.8 DLI. The small plant shows yellow tips on upper leaves. Not sure what it is. Maybe nute burn caused by heavy light schedule. Day 38: 570 PPFD, 40.5 DLI. Made a renovation inside the tent. Put the pots on bricks and made holes in the trays to collect runoff easily. Very useful. Watered two plants with different ppm. 3L, pH 6.3/6.4, 640/440 ppm. Runoff 500 ml, pH 5.6/5.7, 350/250 ppm. They are now drinking 1.5 L per day. Day 39: 570 PPFD, 40.5 DLI. Tried to bend the tops, but the first one snapped. It didn’t break, only few drops of juice came out before I fixed it with tape and a piece of a thick wire. I hope it will heal soon. Day 40: 570 PPFD, 40.5 DLI. Snapped top continues to grow hehe. Watered 3.5 L and 3 L. Day 41: 570 PPFD, 40.5 DLI. Day 42: 570 PPFD, 40.5 DLI. Watered 3.5L/3L, pH 6.5/6.4, 640/530 ppm. Runoff 600/600 ml, pH 5.7/5.7, 440/330 ppm. I keep low temps all the way, starting from seedlings: 23.5 C, 55-60% RH. Intake air is pretty cold, about 13 degrees. Heater is blowing directly on the intake fan, making the air mix quickly. The pots are rised 10 cm above the floor. Temps near the pots 19-20 C. Temps in corners at canopy level 22-23 C. Temps near the lamp at canopy level 23.5 C.

Day 43: 600 PPFD, 43.2 DLI. Day 44: 620 PPFD, 45 DLI. Day 45: 620 PPFD, 45 DLI. Day 46: 620 PPFD, 45 DLI. Day 47: 620 PPFD, 45 DLI. Number 2 is probably getting too much nutes. Or light:) Day 48: 620 PPFD, 45 DLI. Day 49: 620 PPFD, 45 DLI. This week I was defoliating slowly. Bud formation is good, especially on the Number 1, that is on the right side of the photos.

Day 64: This is the last feeding week for number one. I will start flush in few days. Number two will stay a bit longer. Day 65: Cut one small bud for research :) It was located in shadow, but under microscope I could see a lot of milky trichomes. Put the bud in paper towel, and placed in the AC exhaust hot air duct. It was fully dry in 7 hours. Trichomes remained untouched. The smoke was smooth, and I was baked for 3-4 hours. Number 1 is so frosty! She’s almost ready. Probably will harvest her in the end of this week. That will be the first plant in my experience to finish the whole cycle in 10 weeks.

She’s almost ready. One more week probably. Day 82: Sad news: bud rot on top bud. Cut it off, trimmed quickly, cut in pieces and put in dry and relatively hot (45 deg) conditions. Some buds were severely damaged, white fluffy substance on leaves and between small branches. The cola was so dense, no air could ever penetrate the branches. The most damaged spot was moist. Need to rebuild the air circulation.

The last week for her. No watering for a few days until harvest. Day 88: Harvest. Wet weight: 467 g. I enjoyed trimming process. Buds are very dense. Trichomes mostly milky-transparent, with few amber. Should’ve given her one more week, but I couldn’t risk the remaining plants. Bud rot was pretty scary moment. Harvested buds are healthy and look really nice. Fast dried bud was smooth and strong))
