From a distance its is really striking...does'nt show in pictures sadly She is next up for defoliation, together with Killer Kush. Few more days rain till sunny period..fingers crossed. Happy growing everyone

17 sept. Please let there be sunshine, Mould had been spotted mainly in the northern part of the plant. Rain had been pouring down for nearly a week and air humidity was around 80-90 % Plants are way to far in their flower cycle for these kind of showers and you can see it has taken its toll. Pistils are turning brown and buds need to be checked every other day to stop mold from spreading. She still needs a week more maybe 2 if weather allows it, but she will be chopped before the next rainy days. I will lose a part of the harvest to mould weekly but for me the maturation of the harvest is more important than the quantitity. As you can see there are plenty of buds left that still have chance of maturing. Harvesting now would be a shame. Simply hoping for some dry warm days for her to swell and put on some weight.

21 september She is really close. Weather forecast is pretty good the last part of this week. She has 3 or 4 more sunny days to go. After that she will be harvested in steps. Big first, bottom second. Probably couple of days in between. Same process for all my plants. MAROC was also harvested like this during the past week. It was a tense few weeks with all the rain we had. I had to cut out some buds to keep mould from taking over but i managed to keep the damage under control. Biggest surprise was that fungi now grow underneath the plant as well, not just in the buds😅 Lovely sight to see!!

Did not get a chance to smoke yet. Buds are nice and dense. Sadly there is very little trichomes and I hope curing will bring back the lemon smell. Should have gone 10 days extra but time and weather did not allow me to do so. I will add total weight in smoke report. Right now everything is hung up to dry.

What a joy this grow has been. She was a real beauty. Absolute joy to grow...strong branches but she likes to stretch a lot. I knew wat to expect. I have grown Lemon Kush outdoors 3 times. The scrog this year was the perfect solution. I will not grow her again outdoors. This was my first time to see her finish. Seeing her flower this year, she just needs the warmth in the end. The climate here rarely offers that. I must say the dense flowers are amazing also size and yield is incredible. Update about that later. Trichomes were underdeveloped. I had to harvest early because of mould. The last 3 weeks of flower the temperatures were very low 10-15 C daytime and very very wet. I believe this stunted the plants. They made a full stop in development and exploded again in the last week. 3 days of sun did more than the 2 weeks before. Weather forecast were bad so big buds were harvested 25 september. We eventually had more sun than expected and bottom half was left until 2 october. That week made sooo much difference!! Those bottom buds finally developed some nice trichomes and turned purple. Of course I wish the big buds could have enjoyed the sunshine during that last week as well. Most of you will know, being an outdoor grower...Every year is about compromises. This year was so hot during growth and cold and wet in bloom that mould was unstoppable. After all I am very pleased with this grow and cant wait to taste some of this. Probably needs al long cure though to bring back that lemon scent. Almost seems like all that the rain washed the scent right off her😪 Keep growing y'all!

If a great rain is coming you could put some support, maybe bury a cable like a shovel cable, and tie some ropes on it and tangle all over the plant. Anything strong to hold if it swing too much. Any support would be great. btw, i'm in love for your plant, very strong and beautiful ! Is it smelling?

@Kloud9gardenz, Just to be sure, i googled as well. Type capillary action in plants. Its not about water in tubes... we are talking about membranes and medium.
GuerillaGorilla
GuerillaGorillacommented2 years ago
@Kloud9gardenz, Whatever you are using in living soil it will benefit from the air when you dont close it in. Think like the way a forest exchanges nutrients in ecology. There is no plywood border. In my grow I wait until leaves stop praying...start drooping. In the "morning" start with a light shower of the mulch to soak it and the few inch beneath. Repeat around outer edges of pot few times until it's sucking up instead of running of. Finish with a big splash to soak mulch completly and soil to aroind 80 percent....aiming for the lower 20% to be dry. The bottom will soak during days to come. Roots should struggle a bit not get lazy💪 But still i don't grow in an urban area, you know best. I look at the leaves and make sure they struggle before watering.

@GuerillaGorilla, I use a organic bacteria from Impello Science that has the roots growing out the side of the bag. Its a video in one of the dankberry weeks, that stuff is plant heroin. My flat bed is ready elevated off the ground on a foam padding BC its concrete not actual land. I am going to google the principle of capillary action I never heard of it. Does your medium dry out completely due to heat in your area? I feed these in pots daily in such a deep raised bed I have zero interest in having to drench the medium constantly.

@GuerillaGorilla,How lucky you are with that one phenotype brother really a beautiful plant thick and beautiful in the leaves. That will be a big harvest. Wish you a few more good weeks
GuerillaGorilla
GuerillaGorillacommented2 years ago
@Captensmokey, She sure is incredible, let me add to that I have grown this strains outdoors 3 years. This year, this single plant is this pheno...sooo early. Other specimens started flower weeks later. This is a unique one.. I tried taking cuttings. Failed 3 times. Didn't get chance to build proper cloner...heatwaves, timing(too late)..she was soo early! All bad luck, but I am past regret just enjoying the show she puts on.

@Drgreen13, You are absolutly right. I'm really loving this one. Smell now is incredibly fresh and zesty. Hoping she survives the next few weeks without too much mould
