Day 1 - Put seed in water for 24 hours.
Day 2 - Seed popped in water. Planted seed in small cup using BioBizz AllMix. Placed dome on cup to keep humidity up.
Day 3 - Seedling broke through the soil and opened first set of true leaves.
Day 5 - Watered with around 30ml of water.
Day 6 - This lady pushing a node every day. Transplanting in her forever home next week.
Day 8 - Watered her with about 100ml of water with no run off.
Day 12 - Transplanted this lady into her forever home. Sprinkled mychorrizae spores around the root zone to help with transplant shock. Using 7 gallon fabric pot filled with a home-made living soil using BioBizz AllMix as a base. Watered with 3 litres of plain water to hydrate the soil.
Day 15 - Removed first set of side shoots as from the little experience I have growing FastBuds autoflower genetics, the first pair of side shoots always remain on the smaller side. No complaints there! Their genetics have been in my first grow and in every other grow after that. Still got some other beans from them for the future as well! 🙂
She has settled in her new home. Growth has increased. Seeded planter with chia seeds to try grow a cover crop. Till now nothing sprouted.
Day 17 - First training session done on this lady. Bent main stem downwards to expose side shoots to more light. Removed 2 leaves because one was on the soil and the other was covering side growth. Chia seeds have started to sprout! Misted soil to encourage more chia seeds to hopefully sprout.
Day 19 - Side shoots are all pointing upwards to the light. Only one is on the "wrong side" and will have to train it outwards when it's more developed. Main growth tip already pointing upwards as well. Thinking of topping her but not 100% convinced yet. Will let her develop a bit further before I take a decision. Chia cover crop coming in nicely.
Day 20 - Gave first feeding to this lady. 1 litre of water with 0.5ml of BioBizz FishMix. Removed any leaves that were covering growth tips to try and maximise light penetration.
Day 21 - She got her second feeding today. Gave her 1 litre of water with nutrients listed above.
Day 22 - Started LST on the lower branches to expose them to more light and create an even canopy. Removed some leaves that were covering growth tips. Other than that, she looks beautiful!
Day 24 - Gave her 1 litre of plain water and trimmed down some of the cover crop growing too close to her. First signs of flower on this lady!
Day 25 - Did some more LST on this lady to try keep an even canopy as possible. She looks like she started stretching. Looking forward to see her develop!
Day 30 -
This lady is growing like crazy. Stretching and pushing out new nodes everyday now. I love her vigour. Gave her 2 litres of water today with nutrients listed above to strengthen her before she goes into full flower mode. This week I will take her out of the tent and give her a good training session to try open her up as much as possible to expose those growth tips to more light and encourage more airflow through the canopy.
Day 31 -
Training session done, opened her up as much as I could and removed any leaves that were blocking any new growth. Also removed some lower side shoots that would not have amounted to anything substantial.
Day 33 -
Stretching... 🙂
Day 36 -
Pistils are starting to show from all nodes, plant slowly stretching. She looks beautiful. 🙂
Day 40 -
Performed last LST on this lady to open her up as much as possible before she goes into full flower. Removed all lower growth that would not have reached up to the canopy and any leaves growing in the centre of the plant to increase airflow. Watered her with 1 litre of plain water.
Day 41 -
Noticed that she started stretching faster since yesterday's LST. Bud sites all filling up with white Pistils. No trichomes yet
Day 44 -
Watered her with 2 litres of water with nutrients listed above. Still stretching, but slower than usual from the little experience I have growing FastBuds autoflowers.
Day 46 -
Slight defoliation today.
Day 47 -
Still stretching slowly. But she's beautiful, nice and squat and bushy! 🙂
Day 50 -
Opened her up to expose lower and central flower nodes as it was DENSE in there. Removed any fan leaves that where in the way of bud sites. This should be the last LST session for this lady.
Watered her with 2 litres of water with nutes listed above.
Day 56 -
Raised lights by about 3 inches as slight bleaching was noted on the top fan leaves.
Day 59 -
Top of plant got a bit burnt by the lights, maybe also a slight nutrient burn from my side. Will flush medium properly next watering. Bud sites still pushing out white pistils and calyxes started to swell slowly. Nothing compared to the lemon pie growing along side her, same age. Not complaining there, different genetics, different timelines.
Day 68 -
Realised that the plant was not deficient but was actually being burned by the light. Tested PPFD and it marked a whopping 1.4k! No wonder she was turning yellow poor thing. Raised lights and fed her 2 litres of water including nutrients listed above.
Day 70 -
Plant seems to be recovering. Buds swelling and hardening. Let's hope this slight mistake from my side does not affect harvest in a major way.
Day 95 -
Little hiatus from posting updates as was too busy with life basically. This plant is currently flushing. Planning to harvest in about a week. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber ones starting to show.
Colas are super dense and stacked. Smells sour when touched. Super sticky to the touch as you can see some cat hairs stuck to some colas in the photos.
This plant went through thick and thin, suffered some neglect from my side which ended up with her getting slightly burned by the lights and suffered a couple of deficiencies throughout her short life. I have to invest in a proper PH meter as I am suspecting that that is the root of all problems. Had similar problems with other plants since I changed from bottled water to aerated tap water.
She doesn't look the best but I'm pretty sure she's going to be nice to me. Looking forward to taste her!
Day 98 -
Trichomes nearing optimal ripeness. Rock hard colas that stick to clothes when brushed 🤣
Harvesting in 2 days.
