Topping was made on Saturday 08/09. She's flying! Took a clone from her with the topping, we'll see if it will survive. Fast and strong strain this one! ✊

Stickanswered grow question 7y
Hi @mrWhitePinkman! With autoflowering strains, I usually wait until the plant has developed 4 beautiful nodes, then I top at the 3rd node. Why do I cut 1 node under the last available node and loose a part of a plant? Because the recovery time will be dramatically increased, thanks to the development of the 3rd and 2nd and 1st nodes. Once the plant has recovered and the two new stems look healthy/strong, I prune the 2nd and 1st node because they generally produce popcorn buds (depending on the strain, and the plant's structure). I like the idea to re-drive the apical dominance and focus energy onto the two new main branches. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@Stick, hi man! Thanks for the feedback. But I have some questions about second pruning. After she recovers (2 weeks or so?) should I top both stems again? Can u please detail that second part again please? Another thing to keep in mind is that this strain is not an auto. Sorry and thank you again! 👊

Looks like the perfect time for topping to me. I say go for it! You should be able to get a nice clone from the cutting too. Good luck!👍
