This is my version of getting lemons and making lemonade.
HOTDog is actually Hair Of The Dog from Twenty20 that hermied because of BudBox’s wonderful zipper/light leak design. These seeds are from a Ethos genetics Marion Berry Female that was pollenated in that tent from the hermied Twenty20, Hair Of The Dog.
I’m hoping to find something tasty and funky.
In the end I germinated 20 seeds. 18 made it to seedling, Ive been culling about 2 per week.
Due to my failure to keep my pH pen calibrated, These little ladies have gone through more than they should. I decided to pop 10 more seeds and see if I could get any of them to beat any of the previous 12 to flower. Of the previous 12, 1 was culled for being a leaner, 1 more has pretty died all together, 1 is on deaths door and one or two more have taken sever damage for the seedling stage. At this point this diminishes my numbers to a point where I won't get to see what traits the seed stock has captured. That is why I am starting to germ more seeds. I want to go into flower with enough ladies to give me a picture of what this generation could be holding. I may cull more along the way but I would like to hit flower with 6 or 9 good looking ladies.
4” seedling, HotdogBerry1 is now in flower. The rest are on their way to adulthood or to be culled. Flood timer was set at 6 minutes every 8 hours originally. That was with a 80f room around 65RH. Currently I have moved it down to 6 minutes every 4 hours. If 1 plant dries out and slumps, I then knock an hour off the time.
When 12” of plant is sticking out of the pot that is when they get moved to the flower tent. I bumped the EC up 0.2 from yesterday. I also added FishHeadFarms Fish Shit to the menu. Hopefully its worth its cost.
This weeks photos shows what haens when I let my pH drop to 4.2. Don’t allow this to happen. I assume that after my major topping event, some root mass started dying off which in tuen lowered my pH. After the topping I backed off my watering from every 2 hours to every 4 hours. Now after adjusting my pH, I am back to watering evey two hours.
I had to cut four of the main Kolas off of one plant, possibly another. I'm just trying to get them to the same canopy height. I've only cut the Kola's one other time like this and nothing negative happen so, fingers crossed. The close up bud picture is the plant in the bottom right. She is about 4 weeks ahead of the rest of the tent. In the dead center of the tent is Amnesia Haze. I'm still waiting for her Trichomes to amber up before I yank her. Once she's gone, the rest will have some elbow room. This week was all about stretch. The night time temps have been around 65f and I think that has caused her to bolt a bit high. The node spacing is a bit far apart for my liking but maybe I'll be taught something new as to having them this far apart.
I'll keep rolling with last weeks nutes. I run my mix for two weeks, then I change out the reservoir. Last week I screwed up and left two pumps on. It ended up draining two bottles worth of supplements. It may be the best way to learn but boy does it suck when it hurts that bad. Now I am wondering if I am using too many additives.....Maybe I should knock my program back to base nutes and Camg?
Gave them a final trim. At the end if this week they are finishing day 38 for nine of them and day 70 for the one. Trichomes are starting to turn but not on every bud yet.
The first girl I picked wasn't ripe yet, that was at day 100. Currently the other pheno's are at day 81 of flower and some of them are starting to amber.
I was able to harvest 2 ounces of the first pheno but will have to get added to my hash collection because she wasn't amber enough. About half of the pheno's have turned purple in the late stages of flower. Foxtailling is another trait that these are pushing. Hopefully at least one has the "effect" I am after.
Awesome plant and great job!

@StaresAtPlants, evening pal ! My versa grow arrived today. I was not very impressed as it was not as advertised. This being said I am putting everything together.. wish the origin wilma system was available to me here in Canada or their was someone from UK who would be willing to ship but I'm shit out of luck in that department. I'm following all the questions I had that you answered and IL post in the diary once it's all up and going. Just wanted to say thank you again
@StaresAtPlants, ya that would be awesome please. I wish my system had a grid to allow for more root expansion! I'm looking at the kasa strip you mentioned I put once in my checkout. Would this be a good route to setup the sub pump which ultimately is controlling the drip from res to pot ? Can I use this kasa strip almost as a timer ??
