I’m back baby!
Finally the sun is back out and I can get back into it. And not a minute too soon as well because I have run out of shit!
Now I have to buy it till these are ready, which I can’t stand!!
Started these about 7 weeks ago in late July and had to nurse the seedlings through some cold temps using my homemade light box.
A few didn’t make it sadly. A couple of Barney’s orange Sherbet both failed, and one of the Durban poisons failed too.
But, the good news is I’m away with…
2 x G13 Pineapple Express
1 x G13 Runtz
1 x Dutch Passion Durban Poison (dud)
1 x Pyramid seeds white widow (2 weeks younger than the others)
They are going better in good weather now. The PE are vastly different, with one fatty and one tall sativa which is flowering way faster.
I topped 2 and left the rest, and tied one of the PE over, just to see if it goes any better as an experiment. The Durban poison is a runt!!
It just never got going, and when transplanted I noticed the roots were not as developed as the others. With one seed not popping and
one dud, I’m suss on these seeds unfortunately. They came in breeder packaging but they clearly aren’t performing like the others
when given the same conditions.
Anyway, good to be back, and best of luck with the grows everyone 🍻
Plants are doing well, all except for the Durban, which is stunted.
Widow is growing well but a bit shaggy, and stinky leaves for some reason??
Just brushing past it gives you that krud stank left on your hands. Not sure about the quality of this one, time will tell.
The others are much more classy looking and already getting some awesome smells.
The Pineapple Express both smell of heavy pine. Not pineapple, but like fresh cut pine timber.
Hoping they hurry up, I need the stock
These plants are starting to smell awesome now. I will need to be careful of the neighbours especially when it rains.
It always seems to be raining around here lately. I will have to be mindful of that late in flower?
Only a couple more weeks and my early season grow will be done, and I can put the next lot in for the summer
These are such a beautiful bunch, it will break my heart to chop them!
The pineapple has the most unique “fresh” smell. I really hope this comes through in the smoke too.
The feed has been reduced for 2 plants now so I’m on the home stretch.
Also, the next seeds for the season are being planted too. 🍻
Sadly this was a runt, and I only got about a dozen joints out of it. The first seed didn’t crack either. So at least I could sort of taste the unique flavour. It reminded me of clove ciggies I tried in indo. Taste nice. Not super strong but does the job. Sadly it just never got going, despite being given the same conditions as the other plants at the time. I’ve got one more seed to get the best out of Durban and I really hope it works better than the first 2.
Runtz 13 is a nice one. The grow was easy enough, with a small amount of rot at the end, but very wet conditions, so good resistance. 30 grams dry on the end in about 13 weeks. The smoke is really nice. Has a sweetness to it, even before cure. Nice and strong too! I would recommend this for an easy outdoor grow and some nice smooth strong bud 🍻
All in all runtz was a lovely easy grow, with some really nice fresh sweet tasting smoke as a result. It was one of the best freebies I have had for sure, and I would recommend it for the outdoor grower looking for no hassles
What a great freebie this white widow was. Apart from a bit of rot at the end it was awesome. 30 grams dry. The plant has the most awesome smell which hits you every time you open the bowl for a smoke. Love this one and might even grow another bigger one straight away this season
I’m really happy I grew this white widow, it has the best smell I can remember so far! Apart from a tiny bit of rot from the rain, it was perfect. I won’t wait long before growing this again, the smell and the smoke are magic
Loved Pineapple Express!!
2 plants, 2 ounces in the end. One was better than the other. The tall sativa one tastes classic. It’s not the hardest hitter, but is a class act for flavour. 2 for 2 germination. I really rate G13 labs shit 👍
Really enjoyed this grow. Not the biggest yielder but it’s a smooth classic smoke and a real treat to taste. Small amount of rot in the end, but it was really wet for a while. I will surely grow Pineapple Express again one day 👍
Shooey, let's gooo!
Interested how durban and widdow will go.
I found that if the seeds don't pop(doing the 24h water swim, and then moving in onto a damped towel) it's good to gently "crack" them using tweezers. I think it allows the root to get out.
@EasyName, thanks easy. They are in full swing now mate. As for the seeds, I prefer natural selection. If they don’t pop well and go smoothly they usually don’t grow that well. I prefer to concentrate on the ones that are tough from the start. Nice to see you growing some real beauties this season easy 🔥
My very first grow was G13 white widow , was a blast !!! Looks like your getting the same results I did ! Hope this one goes to plan !!! Wish you the best of 🤞🍀 luck and positive vibes!!
And if it isn't growing/sprouting, I had an issue with strawberry banana, it's good to use some transplanting cubes and root hormone. Then just a ton of humidity and patients.
Good luck Shooey!
I'm not sure what you are using for a light but you might want to get a more powerful one. Those plants should be a lot bigger and fuller. I'm growing the same exact strain under about 150watts of led. And it's 5 times the size of yours. And I'm only using General Hydroponics basic nutrients and cal mag. I did top my plants once. And I can see you didn't. But still, there is no reason why your plants shouldnt be at least 3 to 4 times bigger, even without topping. The Runtz 13 and pineapple are really good yielders.
@Dzbaby, if you had actually bothered to look, these were grown outdoor. Deliberately started early in the season to grow small and finish quick to top up my stash. My diary is even called early season grow. You will find much bigger plants in my diary after this which was a late season grow. Maybe keep your criticism to yourself if you can’t tell the difference between a hydro diary and an outdoor natural one. Good on you for growing a tent full of hydro shit, I wouldn’t want it for free.
