oregongenomics Week 2! Steady growth. Roots have finally hit the reservoir. Upped the nutes hoping to push the plant a little without causing burn. 4/25: ppm = 502 pH = 5.7 Temps: 63 - 73F (a water chiller is on the way!!) :) * While the top of the plant looks slightly worse for the wear, roots are really beginning to to start emerging from the large rockwool cube and hang into the nutrient solution below. I'm new to hydro, so any help on something like a ppm schedule for an autoflower would be much appreciated. If nothing like this already exists, I'll keep track of one of my grows and post the ppm schedule I used (if the grow goes well, haha). Cheers!

oregongenomics Day 18. Topped at third node due to a strong sativa growth structure. We'll see if it pays off in the future. If not it will be a lesson well learned. Nutes have been substantially raised to 680 and cal/mag is being added at 2ml/gallon. Day 20. Plant looks to be recovering well. I feel like the topping didn't slow her down at all. Roots have begun to take off. Day 21. Changing nutrient solution out today. The final pH will be steady at 5.8 with Ionic Grow, and I will aim to have my ppms sit around 700. Possibly a little higher...

Hey @BigDaddyK thanks for checking out my grow! I'm fairly new to hydroponics and was unsure about how much to feed. The first time I grew DWC years ago I fried my plants for multiple reasons. I feel my girl does look a little undernourished. I'm currently feeding Ionic 1 part grow nutrients and continue to add fertilizers until my reading stabilizes at about 400 ppm. Would you recommend upping the ppm amount to 500, maybe even 600 at this stage? Thanks in advance.

@oregongenomics, yes I'd up to 600 , I had some organic old timer I tried a while back and it didn't pack enough juice , also keep eye on the ph it can drop too low 👍

Water temperatures are not really important unless they going very high , the oxygen pumped in will keep them going , I would add a bit more nutrients ( what is your base ppm ?)

Hi it's quite important to get more nutrients into the DWC , if you starve the plants they aren't happy, I don't know what nutes you are using but try and get about +500 ppm for this time 👍

OSA28 seems to foam up after being added. Hopefully this foam clears up after a few hours.

@oregongenomics,mine foams , its better for the plants as the foam traps oxygen 👍
