I just finished my sealed grow room. I’m very excited about this grow, as it’s the first time I have complete control over conditions and am running the Take N Bake kit from Build A Soil. Mixed it up and cooked it for about 7 days. Once it cooled down, nothing to it but to do it!
My process:
- put seeds in a cup of water until they sank.
- put them in folded paper towel in zip lock bags, stored around 80F for 12 hours
- confirmed they all popped, planted in starter pots
- 24 hours later 100% sprouted. Had to help the seed hull off all but the GSC.
Day 6 - had to transplant a week early as they were too leggy to stay up. On rogue sigh knocked one over. Seemed to take transplant well but definitely slowed over the last day. But cover crop is coming in and the girls are looking happier today.

So far so good. Really looking forward to not checking ph and nutrient levels.
Less than 10 hours later, they’re all opened up and ready to start exploding with growth. Maybe it’s placebo, but I swear they are moving faster and stronger in the BAS versus anything I’ve used in the past. Really excited for this run.
PPFD: 250-300
VPD: ~1.2kPa
Think I may have overwatered and had the light a little close. Backed off for a few days and raised the light and they’re looking happy.
FAT indica leaves on the OG. Purple on the Ghost Candy as expected.
10/7 - topped them all yesterday and moved the light way up to get some lateral growth. Top-dressed with recommended craft blend 1/8 cup per plant. Water only, 3.5 gallons
10/21 - this is going incredibly well. Knock on wood. Just put the net up and waiting for it to grow into it. They’ve been putting on like an inch a day it feels like. Another week I’ll defoliate and start the Scrog shaping
Skywalker still strongest genetics here followed by GSC.
Top dressed with build a flower/craft blend/ Kashi
16/8 for a week then 12/12. Already throwing pistils.
Was def under watering. Now everything is going well.
Big defoliation this week, first week of 12/12.
Then a rest week.
Week 4F will be a big defoliation.
Really excited for what’s to come. This has been super easy with build a soil and will
Be using their products/recipes for years to come.
11/25 - day 67 - bushing and stretching. Will get in on day 21F for final defoliation. They will surely need it! All cultivars happy as can be, just adding water still. Getting exciting now!
Final defoliation took place and they’re bushy but lights getting through to the lowers and that’s what counts.
I ran out of build a flower, so I just gave them each 1/2 cup of Dr Earth Flower girl topdress. I’ll probably use it til finish if need be.
The smell is starting to come in and they are a GASSY bunch already. Purple ghost candy has a diesely fruit flavor coming in already. Very excited for the next coming weeks
Skywalker is leader of the pack, the rest are sort of moving along the same pace.
Loving the structure of the Ghost Candy. Showing true sativa traits.
Smell is really coming in now. These beasts are breathing a lot so humidity is becoming a challenge even with a dehumidifer keeping the room at 40%, the tent hits over 50 but I think we’ll be okay.
No nutrients for now, going to topdress again with the flower girl next week.
The PGC and Skywalker both under the SF4000 are going much faster (even dimmed to 60%), showing variegation pretty early on. Beautiful geno/pheno on the skywalker with orange and purple coming in really early but still healthy.
The PGC is exactly as advertised, moreso now than the first go-round (still awesome just different structure) this is much more sativa dominant which I’m excited about. Always love the whispy bud structure.
The Widow and GSC under the SF2000 in the back are both slow and steady but the tops on all plants in the tent are getting 1200-1300 PPFD just to get better light to the bottom as well. I trust they’ll be bulking up soon but the widow is sprinkled with glitter and the GSC already has similar trichome production to my last harvest, with very similar terp profile coming in.
Two more weeks, me thinks.
The smell is crazy and they’re bulking up hard.
The GSC still looking freshly hairy but should get bulkier soon the foxtails are crazy.
Chop day! Will come back and update everything in a few weeks after dry!
Wow quite the pull off this run. Can’t wait to press the lowers into some nice rosin. It’s for sure got the terps for it.
Definitely stinks something awful. Always did. But has a lemony earthy under tone. Definitely more bowl stuff versus joint in my opinion. The trichomes are INSANE.
This was the runt of the litter and the lay of the seeds. They were all small plants so I’m glad to see them gone cuz they also smell just awful. The trichomes are the only redeeming quality. Definitely a washer for sure.
THESE. CROWNS. ARE. CHONKY. insane yield of this plant. And the dry sift the came with trimming is out of this world. Cannot believe the yields across the board. Smell is exactly like last time, like cookie dough with some floral-ness as well. Effects are just wonderful (though I didn’t get waves of euphoria like my first run, but that could just be my insane tolerance)
I have a clone of this, and I’m glad I took it. I’m about to flower it out in a 2x4 and hopefully break my plant weight record. 7.8 oz off this 1 plant is my best and I can def beat that running it by itself in a 2x4. I could tell from the beginning she was going to be great, and she’s really proved it. Love this strain.
Grew this outdoor last year but the geno on this seed is definitely preferred. Kind of upset I gave the 1 clone I had away, but live and learn. Plus, I have some FIRE coming down the pipeline on these next few runs. But the structure on these is sick, the nugs are golf balls and dense.
@TeamQuality420, nope, from everything I’ve read with living soil you’re just keeping the soil biology alive and as long as you have good water going in it should be okay. Personally, my tap water has very little chloramine/fluoride and sits at ~7.1 ph. The BAS owner, Jeremy, did an AMA on Reddit recently (convenient), and confirmed as long as you’re using drinkable water it should be fine. If you wanna go the extra step and filter it sure, but really there’s no nutrient measuring, no testing ph. Just keep them watered, top dress 1x in veg and 1-2x in flower and that’s it.
@Seedsman, I’m honored! I got the “thank you” comment on my first PGC run when it first dropped, but not the STRONGK seedsman seal of approval. I’m glad I’m doing your cultivar justice this run!
@Seedsman, the purple ghost candy from my last one was a real crowd favorite. Really honored to be running it again. Finished super fast last time and had an incredible smell
@WhiteEdge, I haven’t, yet. I wanted to see how the space performed without it. I am pulling fresh air into the room with a filtered inline fan just to keep it fresh. I may try in the future, but I def need a bigger light for the 5x5
Awesome!! We love PGC!!
It was really hard to clone though, we usually get 90% or more to take but only got 2 PGC plants from 25 cuttings..
Did you try cloning too? If so how did it go? Thanks for any input! ❤️🌱
