SouthernOnions Planted a couple of the 24k photos i have to toss in my flower tent once it's vacant. Got these in my clone closet along with two AK-47 clones off the AK I have in my flower tent. Didn't include any if these as they're mid grow and id like to start diaries from day 1. But I'm crossing some strains in the flower tent so it will be a bit before I log any of those. For this 24k it just popped above soil yesterday at day 3 from the time input the seed in the dirt, direct substrate germination. Looking forward to next week.

SouthernOnions Not much to say this week, she's moving along just as expected. These are in fact regular seeds so fingers crossed we end up with both female but one male won't be a bad thing, I'd be okay keeping him separate so I could collect some pollen for breeding. See ya in week two!

SouthernOnions Week 2 is going well, they seem to be happy with the lighting and feed schedule. Looking healthy overall. Just been bottom feed watering when they're dry, about 2fl oz of nutrient solution every 3 days.

SouthernOnions They're responding very well to the nutrients, wasn't sure how they would do as time went by as I've been giving them normal strength veg nutes since seed. Things are growing quickly they're at 6 inches this week.

SouthernOnions Topped these plants this week growth moving along nicely, and new branches are beginning to shoot out from the nodes from the topping. Cannot wait to flip these and find out if I have boys or girls. Have been bottom feed watering only for a couple weeks now.

SouthernOnions Topping last week went very well, she's growing new branches quickly. Decided to toss these in my flower tent with some other apex clones I had. Transplanted them into some 3 gal fabric pots. Excited to see if we have girls or boys:p they're both right in line with each other as in growth so hopefully they're both female, should be able to determine sex in a week or so. Will begin giving flower nutes today.

SouthernOnions Been a great week both of these plants are confirmed female. Pretty good luck with that so let's see how they do the rest of flower. So far no issues, they take what they get and thrive on. So far been giving them 0.6 tsp per gallon of the b1 and b2 from FloraFlex along with 1ml per gallon of root drip from FloraFlex and just filling pot trays when top soil seems dry, usually every 2-3 days. Cannot wait to see these ladies do their thing! This 24k was a top favorite from my outdoor 2021 run. First time giving her a go indoor. Check back next sunday!

SouthernOnions Progressing quickly this week has shown a lot of growth since last week. Starting to get a little smell, this 24k gold smells exactly like straight orange peels. Taste is even more spot on, cannot wait to see her finish! Things are going great just bottom feeding a quart of water every 2 to 3 days with the bloom b2 and b2 from FloraFlex along with 1ml per gallon of rootdrip. 24k likes to stretch very tall from my experience with growing it ourdoor so with this run i decided to go with higg stress training instead of my normal low stress and or scrog setup. Ive tossed in a mix of super cropping while doing the HST. I think she is liking it ao far! She takes whatever you toss at her and keeps going. See ya next week!

SouthernOnions Buds are really packing on some weight now and chunking up. They're finally getting a bit frosty and the smell of oranges just flows out of the tent when you open it up. Cannot wait to see these girls late flower. I forgot just how strong the orange aroma was on this flower. Check back next Sunday to see the end of week 5 flower.

SouthernOnions Flowers starting to get some brown curling pistols as they're fattening up, smell is getting stronger by the day it seems. This is the end of week 5 of flower. I'll be back next week with week 6 results! Can't wait to see how they look in f6! Still running 0.6tsp of b1 and b2 from FloraFlex along with 1ml per gallon of rootdrip. Will start using the FullTilt from FloraFlex in today's feeding. Check back next sunday!

SouthernOnions She's nearing the end! As with the first time I grew this strain outdoor, she isn't much of a fader during late flower, though the trichomes are getting close. I'd say after next week's update it will be chop time. For this past week I've been giving only full tilt at 0.6tsp/gal and 1ml/gal of rootdrip. Tune in next week!

SouthernOnions Really showing that last second fade to yellow in this final week. Will be chopping tonight or tomorrow and update next week with harvest update. This week I've been feeding nothing but plain tap water without ph adjustments, which was at 8.0. Only ever flushed with 6.5 plain water but I decided to run just water from the tap. Trichomes are cloudy with I would say around 5-10% amber. She's ready. See next week to see me take her beautiful life. Lol..
How should I go about getting an accurate gram per watt measurement on this grow? It's a 2 strain, 4 plant grow under a 150w light. The diary itself is only documenting the two 24k plants. Should I change the light in the weeks to 75w or what?
Yes then change your lights to 75 watts.. if you want the numbers to accurately reflect your harvest of 2 of the 4 in the tent.
That or double your dry weight when you input those numbers against the 150 W light.. but again, as many have said.. it matters not.
Really smooth grow, smell and taste of oranges is absolutely overwhelming. such a unique strain!

SouthernOnions Harvested 4 plants total from this 3x3, 150w grow. Only 2 of them were the 24k gold logged in this diary. Will be adjusting the plant count here to 4 for a more accurate gram per watt. Will be back in a week or two for the final smoke report!
