Not getting off to the best start in terms of conditions. The heatwave is keeping temps far too high and the humidity too low, So how this grow goes we shall see.
I now have air-domes in the bottom of the pots to aid better oxygen to the roots. Plus I swapped out the 600w led for a 1200w led. Again just a cheap generic ‘eBay special’ till I throw some money at a decently setup.
Growing at a nice pace currently. Kept the fan on the plants constantly which has helped with cooling and strengthening. Temps should begin to drop now as the weather is changing and a good rain should see the humidity rise to a better level
I’ve been a bit behind with the updates but I’m back on track now. It’s the end of week 3 today and the photos I’ve taken just now. So this plants growing well so far. Side branches are keeping themselves up there with the top of the canopy. I attempt to tuck the large fan leaves under these as best as possible during these next few weeks to help the side branches get as much light as possible and grow up with the plants canopy
Seen some good growth in the last week. Temps have been a little high on the odd day but otherwise mostly where I’d like to see them.
Now going to start adding DutchPro Explode in a small quantity as the plants get ready to flower.
DutchPro Keep It Clean is working well in keeping the water tank clean and clear. Before I’d have to clean it out before refilling every time as the water would be cloudy and the neuts would leave a white residue all up the sides. There’s only a small amount of residue now but the water remains nice and clear.
Another good week of growth. Pre flowering is under way but I expect to see a big stretch in the next week or two before all the plants energy goes into calyx growth. I trimmed a few fan leaves and small side branches down at the base of the plant. This will allow the plant to put more energy up top and promote better airflow around the plant
Straight up growth again this week. Will start to trim around the bottom of the plant and get rid of anything that isn’t going to amount to much and only waste the plants energy. This will also promote good air flow.
Another week with a large amount of vertical growth. Bud sites are making themselves well known now so I’ve upped the amount of explode in the feed. Once the stretching is done I’ll start defoliating and clear out the small stuff around the bottom
Nothing to say this week really the plants cruising along great. It’s going to be interesting to see what kind of yield I'll get having 3 plants compared to 6 plants I run last grow. These have had much more room so are a lot bigger but will the yield reflect that too??? 🤔
I gave the bottom of the plant a good clear out of all the small buds etc to allow all the energy to go into the top buds. Also backed off the Dutch pro explode a little as the tangerine dream and royal creamatic are showing too much neutrient burn.
The leaves up around the main coala are yellowing more and more which I believe is down to light burn? Got some good growth on most of the bud sites with the side branches packing it on as we’ll as the top on the canopy.
Coming close to the end of this grow now and it’s been a breeze so far. Most of the trichomes are milky so just keeping an eye out for those ambers before I start thinking about flushing 👍🏻
A lot of the leaves have yellowed now. I had put it down to light burn as it was only on top but there’s leaves yellowing all round now so I’m not totally sure what’s going on. The buds are looking healthy none the less so it’s not been a huge impact whatever the cause is
Today I’ve cleaned out the water tank and will feed only ph’d water from now. Hopefully in a week I’ll be able to harvest these ladies. Can’t wait to smoke these they smell so good!
Very easy grow. The leaves began to yellow from early on but this didn’t seem to impact the final result. Trimming the buds at harvest were a breeze taking only a few hours to trim the whole plant. Would recommend this strain.
@FireKing, I like doing LST. It gives me something to do for the 3+ months I'm growing these plants, but your Royal Creamatics are proof that LST is a bad idea with this strain. I don't know about other strains, but I think I'll keep my hands off autos when I grow them.
Your plants look amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing them with full buds on those branches.
@Quexos,You done a pretty neat LST job on yours though. Apart from defoliating and topping one plant in the past I haven’t played around too much yet but I want to try and LST a plant one day. Although I don’t think it works so well on autos so I’d do it with a photoperiod lady
Nice secondary growth this week! I noticed the same thing on my grow. The main stalk will have numerous secondary stalks.
Your light looks like the same one that I use.
@FireKing, This is my 3rd grow with these lights, and I'm thoroughly pleased. I bought my lights from Amazon. I'd bet there are multiple companies making basically the same lights.
@Quexos,
I’m only using the cheap generic leds off eBay right now until I upgrade. They work and I’m intrigued to see what a difference the high end leds would actually make
Good luck! My Royal Creamatic grow is in the drying tent right now. She was a breeze to grow.
We had a heat wave for about a month. She took it like a champ. I saw no signs of stress.
Man, you are going to love the smoke from this strain!
I love the smell and high. I'm kinda hording it because my harvest wasn't that large. I don't see you having that problem!
You've made me want to grow this strain again. I have it slated with my next grow. This time I will let it grow more naturally. Hopefully I will see similar results to you this time.
Beautiful tent shots! Those girls are doing great!
There aren't a ton of journals for this strain. I ended up with a little over an ounce for my plant, but I think your weight per plant will be much higher because you let them grow naturally. I have one more seed that I will pop after I finish this grow. I'm going to let it go like you are doing.
I really like the structure of this strain. Those secondary branches really take off and challenge the top bud.
The more growers I see who are letting this strain grow naturally, the more I think LST was a bad Idea for this auto. Live and learn I guess.
