Finished my king tut auto flower by dr.seeds and decided to try the single grape ape auto seed I got from them before i either go back to another king tut auto or 24k gold auto. The grape ape by Dr.seeds was cast directly into the soil sprayed with ph balanced water hopefully I will have some action in a couple days.
I’m excited to try the new viparspectra xs1500 I got it’s 150 watt so it will be cool to see a comparison between this and ts1000 which is also 150 watts. I prefer my xs1000 over the mars hydro light already so expect good things from the 1500.
Well the grape ape by dr.seeds has broken ground and had some slight stretch. But has balanced out. Still being fed just PH balanced water this tree been left to gas off.
We have hit week two and the grape ape by dr.seeds is off and running. I gave it the seedling feeding from Diablo nutrients feeding charts and the grape ape seems happy.
The grape ape had some stretch but that seems to have stopped the viparspectra xs1500 is at around 40% power and is being lifted by a couple click on the 1/8” ratcheting hooks a day to help combat stretch and without running it on full power.
I’m quite interested in how the grape ape will grow smell and taste. Also I cannot wait to see how the viparspectra xs1500 performs as I’m a huge fan of the xs1000 model.
Grape ape is taking its time I love the viparspectra xs1500 about 1/8” to 2/8” daily slowly turning up the brightness on the dial.
It’s been fed Diablo nutrients and seems happy hopefully this grows larger then the king tut did.
Another week another 5” this grape ape by dr.seeds is now 10” and oooking healthy. I did a light defoliation getting rid of most of the lower leaves.
I have started LST as the grape ape hasn’t shown a need but if she keeps growing larger I’ll start to LST it.
I’m feeding it it first full feeding of Diablo nutrients based on their feeding calculator. Looking forward to more growth from this plant. My viparspectra is just above 75% and will sit here till flower then will turn it up to 100%. Lifting. Light by 2/8 of 1” to 3/8 of 1” a day with the ratchets. Loving the xs1500 over my old mars unit.
Started some LST just for more spacing and light penetration for the branches for the dr.seeds grape ape, it did another 4” this week which is great. She seem to be a hearty strain with good growth.
I’m giving it a full feeding of Diablo nutrients and started feeding frost beginning of the past week as she will be switching herself over to flower soon.
The grape apes growth has been pretty outstanding. I’m impressed with how well this plant is doing with relatively low maintenance. I’ve only really done light defoliations and very minor LST and she’s reacted well.
I’ve switched over to the Diablo flowering feed before it showed signs and have been feeding monster cal and frost every feeding.
The grape ape already has developed a smell can’t wait to see how she finishes up and she’s hit 23”! Which is great inside the sunstream GT tent.
Wow dr.seeds strains knocking it out of the park again this grape ape auto has been packing on weight to flower production. I’ve just been defoliating flowering areas from any blocking leaves. LST has proved to help with light penetration.
I’m following the Diablo feeding schedule but always feed my auto 1gram of monster k (potassium) at this time to assist with flower development. I’m also feeding monster cal and frost every feeding.
The viparspectra xs1500 is quite impressive always liked viparspectra and really puts my ts1000 to shame in my opinion. Both run 150 watts but the light penetration and cost of the viparspectra xs series is hard to beat.
The dr.seeds grape ape is looking great, it’s starting to push out some nice looking trichomes and flowers are packing on weight.
I’ve been feeding diablos nutrients based on the feeding calculator while using monster cal and frost every feeding to help development. The grape ape has a great smell and I’ve only defoliated leaves blocking flowering sites and it seems happy. Once again quite impressed with what dr.seeds has to offer.
The viparspectra xs1500 is absolutely killing it. By far my favourite light and driver.
The grape ape by dr.seeds is a little beast I’m quite impressed with its growth and it seems to be happy. Defoliation only occurs for blocking leaves and has been rather low maintenance after the LST to space it out.
I’ve been following the Diablo calculator and the plants been happy. Growth has been great. I feel like using the viparspectra xs1500 has such great light penetration that growth has been optimal in flowering and all sites are developing well.
Well the dr.seeds grape ape auto has hit its last week in spectacular fashion. Has vibrant colours a nice dank to its flowers.
There has been some slight purpling of the inner leaves but nothing super crazy possibly more temp drops and she would have been extra vibrant.
It got its last feeding of cal mag and monster frost and has spent around 4 days flushing. The buds look nice and dense and I’m very happy with the look and smell of these flowers. The Diablo nutrients did a great job the whole way through.
Would I try the dr.seeds great ape again the answer is yes hands down would be worth a rerun in the future.
This was a great strain no doubt with the right temperature drop you could see some great colouring in the flowers. My night hit 70 which isn’t to cool on a 20/4 schedule. Would grow again looks great and dense will see how it cures.
