Day 71: The left plant is starting to show some of the same problems I see on the right plant so I am going to flush her too tomorrow. I think that it is mostly due to the light stress from before, it is just showing now, but to be safe she gets a flush too @5.8 ph Day 73: Hmmmm... It is difficult to see if the problem persists, or its just the affected leaves that will not recover. Should I remove these "sick" leaves? - They seem to be happy abut the new light intensity as some of the problems is defiantly improving like the leaves are praying, and the sides of the leaves does not seem to bend as much. I have been very gentle with the feeding, after having done 3 flushes (15L at 5.8 ph) and have updated my feed schema above Day 75: I am sure that I had some light-stress, and it is over now, but I don't think I see a full recovery.... I think I see the leaves to get more yellow but it might just be as mentioned before, that the sick leaves won't recover but I do not know what to do from here. Should I just leave them, or do you growmies have any suggestions? The grow has, and is, very slow in my opinion but I still see progress UPDATE: I decided to doe some heavily defoliation. It might have been too much for the left one. I haven't done much defoliation, but they where so bushy, that I thought it was necessary to get light on all my buds. Also I wanted to get rid of those "sick" leaves. I think I am on the right track, and the symptoms I see are old problems now

I am germinating my seeds in coco. My coco shows PH of 4.5! That seems way too low! I tried to flushing with PH 6.7 water without any effect (see growdiary for more info). What should I do? Is something wrong with my coco?

That's a safe EC range.. still have to react to plant but you can be patient and more certain of the diagnosis before acting. Things will stand out as you find more plants need a little more Mg.. or not with experience and observance. So, runoff is a bit of an average of what you add and previous state of substrate. If it's higher on runoff, it's potentially a bit higher before you added an acidic solution. pH rising could be what is in the substrate - sometimes it's not the pH they advertise. Another possibility - You are adding citric acid.. is this also adding sugar? this would be feeding microbes that could impact pH. Try using 5% acetic acid (white distilled vinegar) to pH down... won't need more than a couple mL per gallon. The nutes used may not be well-stabilized (buffered). Even at 7, everything should* be fine or manageable. You don't want it going much higher though and better to lower it a bit. So, becareful of adding more acdic feed. Maybe try one @ 5.5pH and check runoff. It is a logrithmic scale from 7 so a little is a lot relative to changing "7ish" and you don't want any normally impossible reaction caused by an unusually acidic pH. Check runoff - try to do at same point as before. All the nutes are still avaialble to the plant @ 7ish. Iron / manganese might be the first to show signs of deficiency (fwiw, both result in interveinal chlorosis, tho progressing from opposite ends of plant and maganese will get necrotic spots.)

I have big problems understanding my PH levels. I put in @5.5-5.8 PH (lowered with acetic acid) and the run-off is always too high, about 7-7.5 PH. I started testing my water / nutrients by intervals and nothing makes sense to me. Every test shows an increase in PH, up to 2.7 up?

If you are starting with water at 8 or 9 pH, you have a big problem. Adjusting your pH with acetic acid (vinegar) does not work to stabilize pH levels long term and I believe a "pH down" additive based on phosphoric acid will keep pH stable for much longer. Also make sure to adjust your pH last, after all the fertilizers are added to the water. At this stage you will have to flush heavily with pH adjusted water (containing phosphoric acid) until your run off reads 5.8.

I have a girl that is showing some brown spots and yellowing, mostly the lower leaves in the middle. What could be causing that? And what should I do now? More pictures and a video in diary

The problem again lies in your pH.... it's far too low for the essential nutrients to be absorbed by your plant. 6.2 is absolutely ideal but if you can get it between 6.0 and 6.5 you'll be fine.... I see you're giving her calmag - plant can't get at what you're giving her... get the pH up! Good luck!

I see some brown spots on my leaves. I thought it was Calcium Deficiency caused by too low PH so I gave them PH 6.5~ with 30% run-off, and run-off shows at least the same PH so I think it is not too low PH, could it be caused by something else? Maybe too high PH or light-stress?

I think its all caused by light stress. Plant is having issues with nutrients because the light is to strong. Raise it up to 50 cm and keep your feed as is. The small twisty growth at the bud sites and the serrated edges curling up are both signs of heat/light stress. Happy Growing.

Hallo Weediz.

@KingSalomonsWeed, thank you so much for the tip. Sorry for the late response, but I didn't see your post until now. I think it was due to some light-stress, but under-watering could have contributed, and I have changed the watering routine. Now the leaves are praying again :)

Looking good growmie, i switched to coco almost a year ago and i LOVE it!! I've re used my same coco each grow. Your plants are filling out nicely, keep track of what you're doing and you'll find what works best for you! Happy growing 🤘🏾💪🏾

@DjgrowingMj, Thank you 🙏 I all ready love growing in coco. I have a feeling that I have so much more control over nutrients, and I know what they get. With soil I was not sure what the plant got, and what to feed them. If my plants was a 5/10 with soil, I think I am all ready at 8/10 with coco. Still much to learn, but I defiantly feel a great improvement 😇

@Grower202085, I don't see any problems yet. You think it is too much? According to this guide: https://www.canna-uk.com/growguide the total PPM at this state is 910ppm. I have taken some new pictures with better light. Do you see any problems? Any recommendations? And thank you making me aware of this 🙏

Yo good effort on coco and autos bro. Looks decent. Best coco nutrients look at green buzz nutrients. Game changer and it's cheap 🙌🏻 no need for ppm etc as it's Organic. Just add 1-5ml per liter of nutrients and ph 5.8 - 6.0 .. Honestly bro it's unreal
