After the first attempt and fail to successfully germinate kosher cake, here I am with another seed.
This time again the seed cracked within 12 hours, another 12 hours later the tail was out and about 3 millimetre long.
I decided to put her in the same pot I used few days prior for her sister.
So basically she received the same exact treatment.
24 hours after being in her final container,we can see the seed passing the surface of the Coco."she was originally about 4 millimetres deep."
I would say that everything looks perfectly fine so far.
Just a slow germination process but she is well and truly there.
Everything running smoothly.
Relatively short stem and long leaves
Side story:
I lost patience and thought the seed shell was stuck.("it wasn't.it was just not ready to drop yet.") But I did help her loose it and in the process, thought I hurt it.(" But didn't really"), ennoyed and in the rush I popped another seed.
So now I have 2 kosher cake going.
I will start another diary and run one inside and one outside.
Be patient 😂 and if in the rush...leave it for later when you have time to do things properly.
Little seedling is doing well.
Another boring part.waiting for the root system to develop and boost that baby up .
From personal experience fastbud genetics seem to be able to handle higher amount of nutrients compared to other autos genetics.
I am always cautious but not afraid to supply nutrients almost like you would a photoperiod.
Between that and Coco and big pot you can really create monsters.
This is why I am growing in a 15l and not 25 or more.
It can outspace you very quickly.
Like that northern light from Seedman I have going ATM.
Beautiful lil thing.
She is gently starting to develop nicely.
I am struggling with the humidity at the moment.
We had, have and will keep getting severe rains and I get between 70 and 95 %humidity.
I bought a dehumidifier and will see how all this end up working.
I have started LST this week.
Finally some action.some LST is done and tensioned almost every couple days, some very light defoliation and leaf tucking is also done at the same time, trying to shape her the way I want and optimise my space.
I really like the knod spacing and shape she is naturally showing.
Quiet a Vigorous plant.
I have 2 going about 4 days apart and they look identical aside from one being slightly smaller.
That alike so far that I didn't even bother taking pictures of it.
If they start looking different at any time,I will then start uploading pictures.
Light defoliation and keep on LST .
I started to take pictures of both kosher as they are now showing different expressions.
One is very compact, tight internodal spacing, short stature and the other one,a bit more open definitely a lot less but larger and longer branches.bigger internodal spacing and bigger leaf.surprisingly still relatively the same size.
Personally I prefer the less compact one.
They are also both showing sex and I think the biggest one is starting or preparing for stretch.
Easy maintenance,good plants so far.
Due to that same bad weather and drastic temperature changes, and me removing the heater from the tent and not putting it back for few days.... I have mildly stunted or slowed down the growth.
Ah well.they are still going and look healthy.
Still one larger pheno and that other very stout one.i am curious to see how much they will stretch.
Aside from slowing down, everything is running smoothly.autopilot on feeding schedule.fertigate every watering.watering every 2 days at the moment.
Here we are.full stretching for the big one, maybe few more days to a week of stretch I think.
And the small one as just started stretching...in her own way,it seems that whatever she does that one,it is very short..in size😅
An obvious difference in those 2 plants.very impatient to see the final result.
No issues so far, aside from that little slow down due to cold weather.
At least for the big one, very resilient and vigorous.
Smell is rather discreet so far.
What a beautiful plant.
I am loving the taller pheno, Vigourous, smell beautiful, sweet and caky, looks like yield will be good, low maintenance.
Just a heavy defoliation after the stretch and the pistills are stacking up really nicely.the hair are really bright white.
The shorter one received a light defoliation before stretch and is now at the end of week one stretch.
She is spacing out a bit and start to look a bit more interesting.
I have started giving extra pk to the tall one after she finished stretching.
The pictures speak for themselves I think.
One of the pheno is going Berzerk.absolutly covered in bud, trichomes covering the stems.smell like sweet, orange, vanilla.with like a pleasant sourness in the nose.remind me of something but cannot yet put my finger on it.maybe a type of candy or cake.
The other smaller one as finished stretching.it is a mess but will do an heavy defoliation to remove some of that future messy bunch of popcorn nugs.
That idea I had to put it outside to try to stretch her more than with the light as worked.that tight ennoying little pheno ended up stretching to a rather nice size auto.
Out of all the fastbud strains I have tried.koshercake so far does stretch a fair bit.something to keep in mind of growing in tight spaces.
Easy to maintain.
Doesn't require that much nutrients.
Mmmh that tall pheno is pretty and was looking very promising but I have the feeling that the bud structure is not going to be my favourite.
Will wait and see.
The smell is fantastic like sour orange with something else very fragrant but I can't put my finger on it yet.
The calices are very pretty and very big and swollen with light purple hue and dark orange hair.
The other one as been living outside for awhile and some fly have nibbled it but nothing bad,she pray everyday and look very healthy.she will move indoor when her sister will be done
I started flushing this girl.
That sour 🍊 smell is extremely pungent.
I love it.
The purple tone on the upper collar the white frost and the dark orange pistills really make her stand out .
This plant was another fastbud success.
Even though I struggled with climate during part of this grow, this plant managed to get big and vigorous in the end.
The bud structure is not may favourite and maybe she overstretched as I was also trying things with the light.
The Turps coming out of this girl are loud, smell of sour orange candy, with some floral tones.
Beautiful fade with orange and purple colours with a good amount of frost.
