One of the two Mint Jelly seeds I planted has 3 cotyledons! Looks like a rare genetic mutation, sometimes it results in greater yield! Maybe off to a lucky start here we’ll see…

So I’m growing 2 of these Mint Jelly autos and one of them was stressed by something early in life- either the supersoil in the bottom of my pot, or by too much light. As a result she started flowering way early and won’t reach the size of the second one - which is doing great! One of her biggest branches self-topped and just had a crazy amount of bud sites all over. They also both have a great smell so far, I’ve never grown any strain that smelled this good this early.

Well one of my two mint jelly’s is further ahead in flower due to some issues earlier in life. I know think the roots may have hit my layered supersoil too soon and burnt the young plant. Anyway she’s smelling amazing and looking healthy- a little dark green (again , from too much nutes) but overall doing well. The other mint jelly I sadly had to remove a few undeveloped “balls” from, looks like she almost herm’d a little - there wasn’t any pollen or anything they seemed like “pre-balls” lol- but I am praying it was just a freak occurrence from stress and won’t come back- will keep a close eye on this one. She also self-topped one cola which I though was pretty cool…

The one plant that was stunted now has some large buds on it and is even starting to show a little color. The other has really taken off! The terps on this strain are already amazing and I can tell she will be a big resin producer (should make for some excellent rosin!)… can’t wait.

The smaller of the two mint jelly’s is getting close(r) to harvest. Both have really filled out nicely and smell amazing. Even the smaller plant looks like it will produce some really excellent bud.

Happy Harvest Day!

I’ve only harvested one of my two plants- but it’s already one of my favorite strains. I love the minty/strawberry/chocolate terps in this and the effects are excellent - a nice hybrid with slightly more head effect imo. Very impressed that this one plant, even though stunted early, still yielded 44g of premium super high quality flower! Zero larf. This auto clearly would beat many photoperiod strains. Very happy with this smoke!!!

Looking great! The buds have really fattened up. Well done. I've grown mint jelly twice and it's both easy to grow and a great smoke.

@@Chunga, thank you! Yes I really love this strain already after only a few days with it. Delicious smoke- can’t wait to see how it cures.
