Germination

9 out of 10 seeds germinated 4 x WW and 5 CSC. Germinated in paper towel then moved to easy plug sowing kit then to small pots coco coir 30/70 ph water only. Bit of stretch as under a low powered led that was set too high. Now under Spider Farmer 300 watt led set at 25% at 12 inches. Best of the bunch will go to Autopots x 6 running GT nutrients veg 2 part and Great White Premium Mycorrhizae. Under Mars FCE 8000 and CO2 system with inkbird icc-500t controller. Controller is a nightmare to program with the poor manual. Hoping to set at 800 ppm for veg stage.

Week 2 They have put on a little bit of size, light power increased to 40% at 30cm as they seem to have stretched a bit. Some minor tip burn on one seedling, oops may have added nutrients a little too early. Using GT grow at .5 ml per litre and great white Mycorrhizae. Ppm 84

Transplanted 3 x WW and 3 x GSC to larger Autopots. Still top watering, nutes are now 4ml A&B GT veg about 200ppm. Set up the co2 system for 16 hours during light for 800ppm. RH is a bit high during lights on as tent is sealed, getting up to 90%. Ordered a dehumidifier, can’t get a 2 hose AC here unfortunately. The babies are looking good. My other grow is 6 weeks into flower but having repeated issues with lines clogging on Autopots setup. Everything apart from that is ok

Topped 2 days ago, plants looking pretty good, GSC some spots very minor but light may have been too low and caused slight burning and maybe cal mag deficiency.

little bit of defoliation upped the ppms to around 500 ppm just fluvic acid and AB GT Coco. Coming along ok definitely a big difference in the strains. I think the GSC will be pretty tall after stretch limiting options on light power. Currently running the light at 50% and 1000ppm co2 Access to tent pretty tight and difficult to get to the GSC have been topping 2nd round and more LST stretching out a bit but the space will crowd up in stretch. Next time I’ll do 4 instead of 6 all same strain.

Switched to flower, changed nutes to GT coco flower, Ppms 550. Light schedule is 12/12 with increase in co2 to 1500ppms during lights on. Took out plants and did some super cropping and a general cleanup 2 days before switching over. The GSC are getting pretty big and a little worried about the stretch, whereas the WW are pretty stocky little things, hard to LST as the stems are so thick but really fragile, broke a few stems that is was trying to train and spread out. I think this might be to do with the co2 as I have another one from the same batch in another tent with no co2 and comparable lighting, it has a less compact structure. Anyhow going ok at the moment temps are pretty high with the dehumidifier and light. Light bumped up to 70% will slowly ramp it up over the next 2 weeks to see how they fair and see if the increase temps is not too large.

Things ticking along no real stresses this week. Starting to show some white hairs and still stretching. Temps and humidity much better this week and a lot easier to manage without the co2.

All on track no real problems, a bit more defoliation GSC really taking over the next grow I will just do the one strain I think. Have another one of each strain growing as mother plants so will try some cloning soon

Running out of space with the GSC 1 of the GSC is looking great with some really nice flowers coming along the other 2 seem to have a-lot less bulk in the flowers and seem to be stretching a fair amount. I have had to do some super cropping to keep the top of the flowers from getting too close to the light. Had a problem with the nutrient tank filter getting clogged and al, the auto pots drying out! One of the plants had started to wilt. Ended up taking the reservoir out and cleaning it before adding fresh nutes. Have been using professors gold terpintine for flower but have had this problem before the additive ends up causing build up of growth in the tank and this build up blocks the hoses. For now have stopped using and just using: GT FLOWER FOR COCO A & B GT FLUVAIC ACID GT CAL MAG GT POTASSIUM ADDITIVE PPM at around 600 down from 800 as I was getting a bit of tip burn on the shade leaves. Not really happy with how a couple of the plants are progressing, the buds seem way undersized for week 5 but will carry on

Definitely 2 different phenotypes with the Girl Scout cookies, one is Oozing great with nice big well stacked buds the others are spindly and airy. Hoping they will thicken up over the next 3 weeks. The white widows are all looking ok. Had a valve blockage on one of the pots which I luckily found early. The Autopots always seem to give me grief in the flowering stage! Blocked lines blocked valves, flooding. I’m now making sure I take out the valves and reservoir and give them a good clean and rinse every 2 weeks.

Best time to start flush for GSC.

when yu have a toxicity, it might be a good idea to flush, if bad enough. flushing only slows the plant down otherwise... only reduces growth/ripening, because that stuff cannot ocur without the building blocks.. and just as it is more difficult for our bodies to move energy out of storage to use (less efficient) so is it less efficient for the plant, even if it can suck down its own leaves for a bit. blind taste tests point to the conclusion that ppl had a little confirmation bias about their "techniques" ... we all do. we all do something that is useless but thing it does something.. the better of us admit it to ourselves, accept that we were wrong on move on. I did. I used to let the plant fade the first 1 year - 1.5 years... when i didn't do it one time, I thought it tasted just as good or better, even -- and it was a clone of a plant i had harvested and smoked before.. genetic identical and very similar growing environment... so i stopped doing it. Around same time the little experiement was done analyzing mineral content and further confirmed the conlcusion.. it is not 100% certain, but ... based on basic human behaviour it's 90-95% certain it is a useless thing ppl perpetuated without cause.

What would be causing increased stretching during mid flower? It’s only happening to 2 of my plants. All the flowers all spindly with small leaves and a lot of space between internodes Currently using co2 supplementation 1500 ppms during lights on

I think it's most likely down to genetics for these ladies since you haven't done anything "wrong" and certainly their growth pattern is not normal here... And don't beat yourself up thinking you could have done something differently with them... there's nothing you could have done. If you're thinking they only have another 3 weeks, I wouldn't expect much out of them - I don't really think they're going to fatten up like the other 3. Plants are individuals and do things slightly differently from their sisters even if they're the same strain from the same breeder - human twins are not exactly identical either. I would just take whatever they have to offer and be glad of it. It is entirely possible, though, they might want more time to "finish" than their sisters so think about that when it comes time for you to harvest... Maybe giving them extra time will be best? You can always try that and see how they do - especially if you see their buds starting to fatten up - I'd give that a shot myself! Good luck!

Week 6 flower plants doing ok 1 GSC is looking great with big chunky buds the 2 other GSC are quite different with light airy buds and a lot more pistils. Really hoping they start to fatten up as these 2 take up around half the tent space.

3 different phenotypes with the GSC totally different flower formations! Pretty interesting to see but a bit annoying as #1 looks and smells fantastic and the other two #2 and #3 GSC are less dense with a lot less trichomes visible. #3 has a lot of pistils, I’m hoping they will start to bulk up as it’s getting late.

Ticking along ok the white widows are starting to thicken up I think another 2 weeks and they will be ready to go. GSC #1 is looking like it’s getting close just by looking at the pistils but I haven’t looked at the trichomes yet. The GSC#2 and #3 are just starting to fatten up and still producing a lot of pistils so I think they will be another 3 weeks.

Checked on the trichomes and was starting to see some amber ones probably about 5% so decided to harvest. Unfortunately have got anything to weigh the wet buds. Due to space restrictions I’m having to dry the buds in one of those herb dryer enclosed net systems. Also trimmed all the buds before drying and will use the trim for some oil. The oil came in at 48mg/ml THC so pretty strong. This was 2 ounces of trim to 500ml MTC oil. The larger buds have a bit of weight to them with a dense carpet of snowy trichomes. Quite a pungent smell! Not quite as dense as some of the GSC Phenotypes

About 15% amber trichomes, this plant was the one I’m most excited about. Really nice big dense buds with a strong sweet candy smell. Trichomes we’re not as dense as in the white widow plants but it’s still pretty good. Unfortunately don’t have any scales for weighing the wet buds but once dry I’ll be able to give a figure

The last 2 GSC plants are still going, I ended up harvesting the WW and #1 GSC as these were all pretty much done. These 2 GSC are taking there time and are really starting to put some size on. I’m hoping they start to thicken up a bit more over the next week. Unfortunately the trichome production on these two plants is pretty low. It’s really hard to get an idea of how close they are to harvest. They seem to be developing more trichomes as the buds thicken up but they are a lot different to the #1 phenotype.

Letting GSC #2 #3 go a little longer than the others and they are definitely filling out, #3 bud structure has a lot of pistils and are getting a lot denser. #2 has a strange structure really big combined buds that are dense but less trichomes. They seem to be maturing from the bottom up which is really strange. The lower buds have calyxes that are swelling and engulfing the pistils but top buds have a lot more white hairs and a lot less trichomes. The trichomes are about 50% cloudy I think but it’s hard to tell. I’m going to give them another 4-7 days. Note on the harvested plants and dry weights #1 GSC yielded quite a lot at 129g of good quality dry flower The WW yield for all three phenotypes was 137g dry flower. So a lot less yield and aesthetically not as nice to look at. But they smell alot stronger and are really loaded up with trichomes. Still waiting to cure before the smoke report Update on totals 26/01/23 GSC #1 130g 20%THC GSC #2 192g 13% THC GSC #3 300g 16.4% THC WW 135g 22% THC Total dry harvest weight 757g 4x4 tent 27 ounces
