I planted two seeds one popped within a few days and the other popped around 10 days. Not sure why. Perhaps I planted one too deep. In any case, both germinated and the lagging plant has pretty much caught up in size.

Plant # 2 that germinated a bit earlier has also stretch a bit more than plant #1. Both were topped this week so, not sure that this will make much difference as we start LST and Scrogging soon.

These plants are really taking off now. I will likely need to transplant again in a week as the addition of the nutrients and topping has likely pushed the root development as evident by the strong and quick upward growth. PLant #2 seems to want to grow faster and taller. Both plants are in the same conditions. One just germinated a bit faster than the other.

Two plants from seed were sowed at the exact same time in the exact same conditions. One emerged a few days sooner and has taken to growing faster, bigger and stronger than the other. Same strain too. Do different phenotypes of the same strain cause this difference in growth?

Hi there That’s completely normal a lot of plants grow completely different to each other even if they’re from the same packs its just genetics 👍 Best of luck 🌱

Both plants continue to grow strong... I have reduced RH and Temp each week as the plants grow and have made sure to keep good circulation of air as the plant leaves are becoming dense. Plant #1 remains a bit squat and dense as compared to Plant #2 that seems to want to stretch more. In order to maintain good air circulation, I defoliated a bit from each plant. Both plants were transplanted into their final pots. Time to grow big to get ready for flowering in a few weeks. Will likely begin the SCROG next week! Wondering though why there is that color outline around the fan leaves on one plant and not the other. Same strain supposedly Hmmm!

Notice how #1 has a bit of a darker color outline around the fan leaves while Plant #2 does not have that. What causes that? Should be the same strain on both plants.

Hey Fam Check out my HomeWrecker Diary I have 3 of them going and all 3 have slight differences. Even though we are growing the exact same strains we see different Phenotypes (Physical Characteristics within plants gene pool) Same as us people 2 sisters can have same parents yet look very different from one another or they can be twins. I hope this helps and happy growing

Does anyone grow 2 different strains in the same grow tent? I am wondering if I should grow one sativa and one indica strain in my next grow. Am I asking for trouble in growing 2 different strains in the same environment?

Nope, you aren't asking for trouble. I have a lot of friends that grow multiple cultivars at the same time, in the same room. Just remember, they will finish at different times. So, if one is done, don't assume the other is done too. I suggest buying a 30x-60x jeweler's loupe for the future, so you can keep an eye on the trichomes once they start looking close to finished. Feel free to click on the airplane and message me if you have any more questions. Good luck!

We transplanted both plants into their final containers this week. Temp was lowered to 75, RH to 60. Both plants seem to be doing really well. Plant #1 is continues to have a bit less stretch than plant #2 and also seems to be a bit bushier than #2. Perhaps this is just based on how I topped the plants main colas initially.

Both PLants are still looking strong and healthy. Took a bit of a jump in growth after transplanting last week. Mid week I raised the temp back up to 75 degrees at daytime as I read that this strain prefers a warmer temp in vegetation. We lowered the RH to 50 as well.

Started the SCROG this week. Heavy defoliation of Plant #1 and some defoliation of Plant #2 as we are looking for some light penetration down deep. We increased the nutrients to each plant as their rapid growth has made them hungry. These guys are looking really good and I think we are getting close to switching to flower.

We switched to the light schedule to 12-12 this week. These plants are foundationally ready to switch to flower and I am making sure that we have enough head room for the flower stage stretch. Both plants are really strong looking and have many main colas from the topping that was done in earlier stages. The smell in the grow tent has become much stronger. Woot Woot!

Week 2 of flower is going well. Flower hairs are emerging and the plants look really strong and healthy. Both plants are growing through the scrog mesh nicely and have had to do a bit more LST. Unfortunately, plant # 2 got a little bit stressed when threading the main colas into the SCROG mesh. This happens in week 7, but they seem to have recovered well. Both plants' stems are strong and thick. Thinking we will continue to get some more stretch before the flowers really present themselves.

Had another great burst of growth and the plants are enjoying a good stretch as we head into week 3 of flowering. Many strong bud sites are emerging and I think we will start to see some thickening of of those buds in the next week. I am thinking about a good defoliation on Plant #1 this coming week as it is a bit dense below the canopy. That said, they are growing well and looking really healthy. So, I would hate to add too much stress to a happy plant.

More stretch occured this week. Flowers are emerging nicely. Working to maintain temp and humidity levels while giving plants sufficient water. They seem to be quite thirsty.

Stretch seems to be slowing down and energy is moving towards thickening buds. Frosty trichomes are beginning to emerge. It's all about fattening up those buds now. Looking like its going to be a nice yield from these 2 plants. Stay tuned.

Buds are maturing... Starting to see some nice darker "hairs". Sugar leaves are getting quite frosty. Working on bulking up these beautiful buds!

Bud bulk is happening! These little beauties are starting to pack on some weight now. The canopy was a bit think. So, I did a massive defoliation this week. Hoping that let's the plant focus on it's buds and not the leaves below the canopy.

Late stage flowering... Just keeping up the water and humidity levels and light intensity that is right for these flowers. Green Crack is known for a 7-9 week flowering period. So, I am hopeful that this is getting close. Keeping an eye on those trichomes to watch for some cloudiness to indicate harvest time is near!

Based on the initial growth of the plant and the big stretch when I switched to flower, I expected a heavier yield. Though, I am overall pleased with the result. The strain presents a pretty smooth smoke and a nice effect. The Keef is particularly potent in this strain. I am still curing a bit longer, but early samples are showing a good grow and harvest. Going to grow a Bubba Kush next. So, look for that diary coming soon.
