Got most of the new room set up. Still waiting for the reflective curtain to come in the mail.
I'm currently working on a portable a/c unit I will use to keep it cool. I have to make a new exhaust port plate so I can vent the exhaust outside. That part is $47 with shipping. Ya I will make one.
Planted 6 Chemdog Gorilla seeds. To came up. The other 2 never got past the tadpole stage. So I waited almost a week then planted some Grand Daddy Purple because my set up is for 6 plants. I will be topping all the plants but will probably top the older 4 plants a second time to give the GDP a chance to catch up.
Lighting set up is evolving. My main light is something I made for a 3x4 room. So the set up is not ideal for the current plant set up. I will fix that at the next grow. The other lights are some cheap led grow lights but I do really like them. The plants have always done well under them.
My new custom ones I built never got to finish the jobs. I lost the plants to do the old grow room getting to over 120° and cooked my babies.
GDP seeding #5 went to shit. Roots growing like crazy but the top side stopped growing. So I planted a new seed. Will have to probably top all the others one extra time to give the new guy time to catch up. Will have to see how it goes.
So far the rest of the grow is going great. But it is still early. Have the new curtains in so will have them up this week.
Things are looking great. Have the scrog net up. Doing the low method this time. Leaned from Northern Scroger on YouTube.
Also hVe the white curtains up. Love this area.
So mid week as I was LST #2 I failed to prepare the stem for a 90° thinking she was young enough still. I was wrong. So now I get to try a Clone. The topping other than not wanting to do it went well.
I've been fighting fungas gnats and various other bugs since moving into this used shed I bought.
I used some Diatomaceous Earth to use on the clay balls but threw some on the leaves also. Just ok 3 of them wanted to wait a few days and see if it was a bad idea or not.
Girls are looking great. The one that was topped is about half the size all the others are.
I would say they would be about 10-12 inches if they were not being trained.
The GDP suffered an almost accidental topping I had it fixed and she was super strong a few days later so I bent her over. Two days later she broke again I guess. On day 3 I found it but it looks to have healed just fine. These plants are amazing.
Got the inline fan installed also. And it's a food thing. These plants are only a month old and the room is already super Dank!!
Also in the photos you will see my other diary. It's in the tiny/rare pot contest here on growdiaries.
What a week. High Temps have been the worst in the tent.
No water chiller so my roots have been baking.
Plant 1 & 2 have root issues. #2 are really bad. She has stopped growing and her roots are tiny.
So I will keep her if she lives she lives.
Got the scrog net up so the next 3 weeks will be fun. Lots of tucking.
I've ordered some food grade hydrogen peroxide to help with the roots issue.
Started hydrogen peroxide this week every 4 days to help with the roots. #1 is looking better. #2 may be to far gone. But she is starting to grow roots again. Maybe she will start growing again.
Also lots of brown spots. Looks to be a cal. issue. Added 9 tbs of calmag to the mix. Also had to add some notes. They are starting to need more.
What a week.
First off these girls are way to damn small to be 8 f'n weeks in. But I've delt with about 2 weeks of very hot weather eary on. The water temp got up to 85 that I know of. So it fried the roots.
I discovered hydrogen peroxide little to late but it has helped. I really thought I was gonna lose a couple this week but they are doing much better.
I got my new grow tent lights in. Using them on the main grow room until I get the other new light built but thatbwont be for some time.
The other light is almost done. I've got the new pvc pipe frame made.
Yaya I know cheap. But hey that's why I did it. I just ordered to more light setups. That puts me at $300 for this light alone. But damn it is so Brite. Right now with just 6 lights on high its at 283watts. I'm adding 2 more that should put me around 376 Watts for a 5x5. These are the large cog legs. I have 3500 wave length ones.
I also built a cloner. Shout out to @icanthc for one of his videos that gave me the inspiration to build my own with improvements.
I've had bad luck with clones so far so I hope this will help. I'm going to cut down CDG#2. She so damn far behind. I will get 3 cloned out of her. Fingers crossed.
Well CDG#4 had gotten so bushy it was messing up the netting and it was getting very hard to tuck due to all the growth.
So I had planned on doing the 1st major defoliation a week after I flip but decided to do it early or risk something happening to my girl. So I did it Thursday night after Thanksgiving dinner. Damn did she protest the next few days. It's Sunday night and she has bounced back 200%. Just like they like to do.
So flipping her to flower tonight. Nov 27th. Just replaced her water with the flower nutes.
Also go my new cogs and parts in so I finished the light upgrade. It's pvc & alum. Angle so it's super ghetto. But it works and works awesome. 376 watts on high. Measured at the outlet. 8 citizen1048 cogs 3500 full spectrum. These have huge as heat fins. And at $18 each fin it's by far the most expensive part of the build. I've got 8 of them.
First week of bloom went great. The stretch is on. I am stopping tucking today one week into flower.
I think for this grow I would like the bigger but fewer buds as opposed to more smaller ones. So I will let her start stretching upward now. Don't get me wrong. I'm looking at over 200 bud sites on these 4 plants. So we shall see
Plants are doing great. Tons of growth. I'm done tucking now. Just fan leaves for now one.
Photos were taken right after a tucking.
Leaves on CDG#4 are stressed. I know the ph is low but my pen crapped out. I let it go for a day like that and today I throughout the water in the tanks and gave the girls new. Fingers crossed she is better tomorrow.
3 weeks down were now at the start of week 4 of flower....well week for and couple days.
I took the scrog net down last week just to see what would happen.
All were fine but CDG#1 one side of the plant shot up and the other stayed the same. So I will keep the net up for now one. Was a good experiment. I think it did it because this was a very thin flexible plant. If the buds do get large I will have to find a way to hold them up. She is behind her sisters.
