RQS Autumn Cup Purple Punch Auto

Cold_Farmer 2 weeks. Nothing new to report. Growing well and has received its obligatory support. Red wire so I can distinguish the plants from the contest.

Cold_Farmer Week 3: There's not much to report. She's still growing well and as planned. Maybe it's a bit too cool when the lights are off. Otherwise, I'm satisfied. LST is working well, but the side shoots are still too small to work with them further.

Cold_Farmer LST is going well, but I'm not satisfied with the growth rate anymore. It's probably due to the colder nights. The tent is set up again, but the fan motor is broken. Damn!

Cold_Farmer Week 5, still no pre-flowering in sight. The growth is a bit slow due to the rather low temperature and what seems to be a failed LST. You just have to be patient.

Cold_Farmer At the beginning of week 6, still no signs of flowers. Since I have two autos running at the same time and both are developing the same way, the slow growth is due to the environmental conditions. But I have patience, even if it takes 2 weeks longer...

Cold_Farmer 2 weeks later than usual, it's finally time. The first signs of flowering are visible. Thanks to the LST, it has remained relatively small with few side shoots. This week, we'll be defoliating and cutting off smaller shoots. The goal is about 4 to 6 shoots that should produce big buds.

Cold_Farmer Second week of flowering and everything is going according to plan. She's stretching a bit. I haven't defoliated her yet or removed the lower buds. That will come this weekend when I find the time. So, now she's a bit bare down there. I cut away quite a bit. I also bent the branches so that I have an even canopy.

Cold_Farmer Since I have several plants in flowering, I've switched to the Canna schedule. Unfortunately, the fertilizer from the RQS package won't be enough for all of them. However, it worked great during the growth phase. LST, defoliation, and lollipopping have responded really well. She's growing just as I envisioned. The Purple Queen strain is lagging about a week behind in development, though.

Cold_Farmer I'm satisfied with the progress. The fertilizer is showing its effects. However, she's lagging a bit behind her sister.

Cold_Farmer Good growth. Watering is done every third day.

Cold_Farmer The Purple Punch is growing a bit slower than the Purple Queen and is now about 10 days behind. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the growth.

Cold_Farmer She's growing slowly, but she's definitely forming some fat buds. I'm still having a few problems with those pesky flies in the tent. But other than that, it's going well. It was worth investing in the extra nutrients.

Cold_Farmer It's slowly coming to an end. But I think it will still take about 2 weeks. Very dense buds. Looks good and I'm already looking forward to the result.

Cold_Farmer Unfortunately, this week was a bummer... While defoliating and doing some LST, a main stem broke. I pushed it back up and secured it with some wire. Unfortunately, it looks like the branch isn't getting the proper nutrients anymore. The leaves there are turning slightly yellow. It's still way too early for an emergency harvest.

Cold_Farmer The end is near, the last days before the harvest. I've now adjusted the nutrients and have only watered a little. The pistils are no longer light yellow, but have turned a nice orange, and the leaves have taken on autumn colors. The trichomes are almost all milky heads now, with a few amber ones visible here and there. The buds have gained in fullness and are nice and firm. Maybe there are a few too many leaves in between. The harvest will show. Since I have Corona again (yes, it's still a thing), I'm currently lying in bed. As soon as I'm feeling a bit better, I'll be harvesting.

Cold_Farmer But many leaves between the buds. It didn't look like that at first. It's definitely a good harvest, but how good will only be revealed once it's dried.
